Powerful Encryption to Secure your Data
Protect your data with Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), the official recommendation of the National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST). Why is this important?
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) chose the Rijndael algorithm as the new Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) over alternatives including Twofish (successor of Blowfish), Serpent, RC4 and MARS. The announcement concluded a multi-year effort working with government, industry and academia throughout the world. Proposed by two Belgian cryptographers, AES has emerged as the clear winner and has since been adopted as a worldwide standard.
[2012-07-05] Howard: great app I started using datavault years ago on a blackberry, and couldn't wait to use it on my android phone. Its a great app that I cannot be without, or I cannot log into anything! I had to wait for the Android version, and was lost without it. But it was worth the wait when it came out earlier this year. I just updated my phone again and it was the first software I downloaded to the new one. I've sync'ed with both dropbox and wifi, and it works seemlessly every time. |
[2012-07-01] Eric: Love this app since my BB days |
[2012-06-27] Syrk Electronics: No support This app is completely abandoned. It has some bugs and the developer don't release any update. This is a bad buy :( |
[2012-06-24] Yogesh: Fake rating The rating 4.3 is fake. Great problem of login even entering correct. Password. Is unable to login. Since I purchased it repenting on my decisions. Please provide correct feed back for others. |
[2012-06-03] James: Broken I have been using data vault for a long time but the recent update no longer recognizes my password on my phone. I have no access to passwords anymore and the app is worthless now. |
[2012-06-02] Cliff: Has basic flaws A good simple program but on my HTC DESIRE sometimes fails to auto-lock leaving data visible to any criminal. Need to use screenlock as well. Also sometimes rejects correct password and have to force close. Ascendo not got a fix after 1 month. Disappointing. |
[2012-05-22] Rafael P.: ABSOLUTELY THE BEST I begun my ordeal several years ago when I moved from my Palm to my Blackberry. I couldn't find something to manage my confidential data, passwords, etc. that was as friendly and as sync-cable as what I had with my Palm and my Palm Desktop. But then I found Ascendo DataVault!. Since then I have moved from my first Blackberry to my second one, and now to an HTC oneX Android phone, and from the first laptop to my third one and always the first thing I install is Ascendo DataVault. The program is great, secure, easy to manage, easy to install, easy to Sync and the support is excellent. If everything else worked so nicely like this program does, there would be a lot of people with smiles on their faces. |
[2012-05-19] Capt: The best in secure storage of ALL your ID been using DataVault for years now. I would NEVER trust any other program. Ascendo tech support is superb! Do not trust your lifes info to any other app. |
[2012-05-18] Alan: The Best Sync is flawless. Have used for years. Had on Blackberry. Now use on PC, Android and iPad synching between all platforms works great. |
[2012-05-09] Jason: HTC ONE X For me the user interface is not intuitive. It was hard to grasp. I have tried 'keeper' and that is smooth. But I'm not impressed with their pricing set up. May still go with keeper, haven't found anything else yet |
[2012-05-08] Dhanaasekar R: HTC one x Best app and must for android phones |
[2012-05-08] Lori: DataVault Love this application. |
[2012-05-04] Teeda: Great I've used this for years, first on Blackberry, then on iPhone, and now on Android. This is the best version. |
[2012-04-17] shr: Great app still buggy Let down by the irritating bug of the app not permitting re login and repeatedly reporting the correctly entered master password as wrong having 9 left attempts (does not change). Other users have reported same problem. Please go on and fix it already! |
[2012-04-16] Googphan: Some issues Clicking on Home to exit app will mess up the authentication. Other than that, the app works great. |
[2012-04-15] Robert: Support - None Better Been using this app as many others have, from Blackberry to my now present Epic. Never a problem with app. Had an issue with Google Play recently and they even tried to help with that even though was not their problem. How much better does it get than that. Like I said, you will not find better support when you need it, and that will be rare. |
[2012-04-15] Chris: Great but... It's a great app, syncs with my phone and Mac brilliantly, and I couldn't love without this app. I would give it five stars, but it don't have support for my Samsung 10.1. |
[2012-03-29] Paul: Brilliant, does what it says on the tin! Having used PasswordsPlus on Palm & Windows for years i needed the same for my Galaxy Note. This worked straight away syncing over wifi but most important imported my existing 438 record database with NO errors. Made my move to Android possible. |
[2012-03-29] Ken: Old Favorite I've used this app on Blackberry for years, and it has always been my favorite. Now I'm on Android, and sticking with it is a no-brainer. A bit different now, but I'll adjust easily. |
[2012-03-12] Mark: Great App - Great Support I first bought DataVault for my Blackberry Storm about 3 years ago. I've since switched to a Droid x and when DataVault was ported to Android, I bought it right away. It's simple to use, easy to customize and solid. I use Dropbox to synch with both my laptop and decktop and it works great. I'd highly recommend it to everyone looking for a password app. |
[2012-03-10] Mickey: Customer Support, Blue Ribbon Great It's a neat fun little database. Easy to drive. It syncs beautifully over WiFi. I had a small problem while entering my initial batch of passwords. I wrote tech support and continued data entry. Within the hour, BEFORE I WAS EVEN FINISHED entering my data, I got an email back. Turns out the software was fine. I had misinterpreted something in the User Guide. They set me straight and added they would make a change to the User Guide to make that point more clear for others. Very cool! |
[2012-03-08] Ourian: What good is AES? What good is AES 256 bit encryption, if I can open app from market, toggle between list and category view and I see my records. I'm on Evo 3d, I did this multiple times and was able to get in. Using the regular shortcut promoted for password, but not from market. I rebooted phone and problem went away, but this is enough for me. Unfortunately I can't give ZERO stars. |
[2012-03-05] Matthew: Used it for years, love it This program just works. Fancy enough to customised, not too cumbersome to be unwieldy. It was the first program i got after switching from Apple. Wouldnt be without it, i have passwords and accounts stored from years ago that i occasionally need, without this software they would be long lost. Well done ascendo |
[2012-03-05] Alejandro: Not working! I cannot enter my password. It gets stuck. |
[2012-02-27] Joseph: Great Support I have had DataVault on my two previous Blackberrys and just installed on a new Motorola Razr. I was unable to sync my Razr with my laptop. Contacted support, on a Sunday, and within an hour I was up and running. |
[2012-02-25] John: Buggy & Not Worth the price Had exact same problem as Gilman 11/18/11 post. Type master password repeatedly and program kept responding incorrect password with 9 attempts left. Never would accept correct password and never showed less than 9 attempts left. |
[2012-02-18] Tom: The Best of the Best The third time's a charm! I've had DataVault Password Manager for Desktop and DataVault Password Manager for Apple's Itouch for over a year. I am not easy to please because I know what I want. I like to customize things my way. Few password managers offer the customization like DataVault does, and it does it extremely well. But I am also very careful with my money and when I moved over to the Android market, I really looked hard to avoid spending anymore money for a password manager. I spent a whole week, several hours a night, researching and trying different password managers. If your own time is worth money, I spent at least ten-fold of my time over what this app costs. And in the end, I had to admit to myself, "this one is the Best of the Best." It sync's wireless perfectly to your desktop, Something I prefer over copying my credentials up into a cloud. It allows you to customize the fields in each record, create templates for frequent entries, and offers the best security features I have seen in a password manager. Obviously I am sold on it. I purchased it three times now for three different platforms! Kudos Guys. |
[2012-02-17] Harley: Safe and Simple Enter your data on your phone, tablet, or desktop. Have all your data with you all the time. |
[2012-02-15] Gary: Safe and simply the best! I have tried many password keeper apps, the free ones and the paid ones, and Datavault is simply the best! Very secure, very safe, simple yet intuitive functionality, and i would recommend it to anyone. |
[2012-02-14] Doug: More Safe than Contacts Too many apps read & write contacts anymore...Great app! |
[2012-02-13] Jean: Fabulous Service I had a problem syncing my Galaxy Tab after an update - wrote a short email, and the problem was fixed in a couple of days! This is a terrific app - like most people these days, I have over a hundred logins etc. and this is a great way to keep track of them all. Having it on my phone as well means I'm never without a memory aid. |
[2012-02-10] Manny: Killer App This has been one of my few mandatory core apps I've used for years. First on the Blackberry, and extremely pleased it was ported over to Android. I've checked out others and this by far has the best UI on my PC and Galaxy Nexus. The WiFi sync works great and is really fast; takes only seconds for my 236 entries. |
[2012-02-08] Toby: Great Nexus fixed The latest update fixed my menu on my Nexus. So now I can Synchronize again!! |
[2012-02-08] Bill: Greatest app I waited a long time for the Android version and I am not disappointed. Synching wirelessly is the easiest and quickest way to keep up to date. |
[2012-02-08] G: Very useful app Like others have said, I waited awhile for this to come out on android. It allows me to work on my sites from several computers while keeping my data and passwords synced among them. I no longer have to carry around index cards. I make templates with custom fields for usernames, passwords, db names, etc. |
[2012-02-07] Kurt: Does not work on Galaxy Nexus Latest update removed the menu button making the app worthless. There is no way to sync with the Datavault desktop app. It worked well before the update. Customer service has been unresponsive for two weeks now. |
[2012-02-07] David: Excellent App Had DataVault on BB for a couple of years and worked perfectly. Switched to Android back in December and first thing I did was download DataVault on new Droid Razr. Had all data back up and running in no time. Did have one problem when did update to DataVault (after update it wouldn't recognize my password). Contact customer support via email and within one hour they responded back with the fix (reboot my Razr). Came back up like a champ. Customer support is spot on and that is what makes it a no-brainer to rate this as a 5. |
[2012-02-04] Steve: Rock Solid Works flawlessly after update. Thanks for listening! You guys are great! |
[2012-02-03] Depravitus: 4/5 5 stars If They Add A LINUX desktop client for syncing. |
[2012-01-30] Will: Ascendo DataVault is GREAT!! Have been using on BB for years. Initially, it did not work on my Galaxy Nexus 4.01. I sent them Email on Friday PM. By Sunday, they sent me new updated program that works well. Was able to sync everything from my BB easily. Great support!! Thank you. Will |
[2012-01-28] Barry: So glad finally available for Android! Used this app for a long time with my Blackberry and loved the easy desktop synch/backup. Bummed when changed to Droid phone and couldn't find good password vault with desktop synch. Finally DataVault arrived, and it's great! Backs up to phone SD card, and easy synch with my desktop. NO ONE offers better app support then these guys! |
[2012-01-27] Steve: DataVault on Android I've been a DataVault user for years on a BlackBerry. I recently made the migration over to Android. It works great. Whereas I used to synch to the BB using a USB cable, I now synch over WiFi. Be sure to modify your Windows firewall to allow DataVault to talk to the Android over the local WiFi network. Alli in Support at Ascendo was a great help. |
[2012-01-27] Jim: Excellent Works great on my new galaxy nexus ics and syncs with PC and itouch . Highly recommend at least giving it a try |
[2012-01-25] MUTANDIs: Awesome App Best password app in the market. I've used it in multi platforms ( Android & Apple) and it has always worked well for me. Thanks guys keep it up. |
[2012-01-25] jay: Excellent app Simply amazing app. That's all I can say! |
[2012-01-25] Jeffrey: One app for PC and Droid Have used it for several years on BB and PC because of the quick sync between the handheld and PC. The day this came out for a droid I grabbed it and the new sync options make it even better. Also handy in a corporate environment as you can share items either secured or unsecured. |
[2012-01-13] Rafe: Very easy to use. Great import mapping for csv files. Sync by wireless works great from/to Windows 7/droid. Great app!!! |
[2012-01-12] Greensleeves146: longtime user I was using DataVault on my blackberry & PC for a long time. I have hundreds of entries and it works fine, but the app felt a little dated. I use this for not just passwords, but all my personal information that I may need at my fingertips. When I switched to a new Android phone I was excited to go looking something "better" in the Android market. I tried Splash, LastPass, and KeePass. I had tried eWallet in the past on my blackberry also. In the end each did a fine job, but seemed targeted at a little different use case than I was looking for. As a "secure file cabinet in your phone" app, I felt that DataVault was still the best, and ended up sticking with it for easy in, easy out data. I have one feature request... Entering a long, strong password into a phone is a chore, especially so on a touchscreen keyboard! If the developer can devise a way to maintain high security, and make it quicker to log in, I love it! |
[2012-01-05] Jeff: Excellent with twos mall glitches The app is excellent: easy to enter new information, easy to read, search function works well, and syncs with desktop app in Windows. However, I have had the problem that Gilman spoke of in another review: I'll get the message that I input the wrong password--even though it's correct--and I have nine more tries, but the app won't open. The workaround is to restart the device (Motorola Bionic), and then it works swell for a while. That's one problem. The other is that I can only sync through Dopbox. The WiFi and USB didn't work for me. I hope these minor glitches are fixed in new versions |
[2011-12-28] Steven: Love this app. I used it on my blackberry and couldn't wait for the android version. Synched with my computer easily. |
[2011-12-14] bin: Excellent apart from just one annoying 'feature' Very versatile, excellent for syncing across various PC's using my SGSII as the main source database. The only annoying thing for me is that there is no option to disable the 'Logout Lock Time' ; the 15 seconds maximum on the mobile version is way too short and I am getting weary of having to type in the password over and over. |
[2011-11-29] Kevin: Love It Works perfectly, sync is no problem through Dropbox. Inputting all my initial info was a little tedious but worth it. No crashes. Needs updated UI. |
[2011-11-28] Rob: Favorite App Finally Datavault has arrived. I was a longtime BB user and finally changed to a Droid Charge and my only disappointment was I couldn't use Datavault; thankfully that has now changed. Datavault is great and I am thrilled it is now available. Purchased the Android and Windows version immediately. |
[2011-11-28] gmitch: A good SplashID Replacement A long time SplashID user have replaced it with DataVault because it syncs with all of my devices via WiFi. The import of the SplashID "vid" file worked without a hitch. The generous policy of allowing the desktop version on more than one computer is also a big plus. Easy to learn and easy to use. I gave it a "4" because I couldn't give "4.75". This program needs to be able to apply a template to a batch of entries. Currently you must do each one separately. Also better than mSecure. |
[2011-11-26] Joe: Good application I had this on my BlackBerry, and loved it. Glad they released for Android. |
[2011-11-21] Jeffrey: Changed review I gave it 4 stars now 1. It has all kinds of problems & support sucks. They need some major updates. Hasn't had one update since they released it. |
[2011-11-18] Gilman: Dissapointed I had this for my BB and have been waiting forever for it to be released on Android. Immediately bought it when it came out and it was great until it starting corrupting my DB. I would be using it with no problem then all of a sudden I try to open it and it says incorrect password, which I know I entered correctly. Says I have 9 more attempts. Try it again and it says incorrect password and I still have 9 more attempts. Thought that should go down to 8. I have to unisntall the app to get it to work. |
[2011-11-17] Jeffrey: Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! I switched from BB to Android last year and love it. I've spent a great deal of time searching for a replacement for DV with no luck, until now! DV was great but, having to write things down and input them on the laptop later was horrible. Thank you for ending my search and giving me back my DV!!! |
[2011-11-16] Fred: Awesome app, worth every dime. Been using desktop version for years, syncs with app perfectly. Very flexible, can meet everyone's needs. |
[2011-11-15] Janet: Finally! Worth the Wait I have used DataVault on my BB, then iPhone with my desktop for years. I now have an HTC and am so happy to have DataVault back. |
[2011-11-13] Scotty: Best Keeper I have been using this program for years - blackberry, ipod, desktop, and now, YAY, on my android! Very happy that the droid version is out! |
[2011-11-10] Marla: Love it! I have had Datavault for years on my desktop. Now it synchs with my Droid phone. I love it's organization of all my passwords and important information. It is so customizable with it's user defined folders and user defined fields within each record. This is a great place to store notes and other key data that don't make sense in my Contacts program. I was having to log in remotely to my desktop when I was out of town to get passwords but now this information safely travels with me. Halleluia! |
[2011-11-07] Adam: Great storage app! Waited patiently for Datavault to become available for Android. Used with old Blackberry and loved it. It was definitely worth the wait. |
[2011-11-06] Joan: tablet version needed too Thank you! I have been carrying around my BB just for Datavault for over 5 months! DV works great on my Thunderbolt, but PLEASE - I need it for my Asus Transformer tablet too! Also, would love to have auto-fill my logins on the Android. |
[2011-10-26] John: Like seeing an old friend again Another one who's used this on BB before and been frustrated it wasn't on Android. Glad I waited and didn't 'defect' to something different. This is one of those apps that just works. |
[2011-10-23] Cheryl: Data vault Great product thank you for the advice from all my friends that use blackberries. Only hitch it saves onto internal memory not SD device. |
[2011-10-23] Tami: Droid x.....Tami SO worth the wait! Used Datavault on Blackberry & now on Droid x with SAME info transferred from updated desktop version. Fast email support to ???'s. |
[2011-10-22] Ramuel: Heldout for Android version - Not Dissappointed I was a Blackberry Datavault user for years, then decided to switch to the Android Platform. The only app I was waiting for was Datavault. I did months of research and even tried a few other password apps (KeePass and LastPass). Neither satisfied my needs for password storage and features that I'd missed from Datavault. I recently installed Datavault for Android, received some AWESOME support from Ascendo, and am running Datavault on my Droid Bionic w/the same info I had from the Blackberry. Loving It! |
[2011-10-20] Ian: Well worth the wait! |
[2011-10-19] jf2go: Finally available for Android! I kept all of my info in Datavault for Blackberry. I really missed this app when I switched over to a Thunderbolt. Needing to have my IDs available, I migrated to a KeePass solution - but it wasn't even close. I just spent a few hours migrating back to Datavault, and it was time well spent. App works great on Android, and syncs perfectly with the desktop app and my iPad. |
[2011-10-18] Lei: I waited for a long time...it was worth it I have been using Datavault for years...on my BBerry and my windows desktop, then iPad and desktop, now I get to use it on my HTC Incredible 2. It was flawless when wireless syncing. Ascendo has the BEST support as well. I tried SplashId but could never get my DV data imported. This Android version came in the nick of time. I got my money back form Splash and am rocking and rolling now. THANKS !! |
[2011-10-17] Allan: Finally! I used it on my BB and loved it. Been waiting and in the meantime I used 1 password, B folder etc. And I dislike them. Glad it's finally out. |
[2011-10-17] Amber: FINALLY!!! I have been waiting on this program to come out for Android since last October. Thank you Ascendo! It's gotten quite tiresome to have to carry my Android AND my Blackberry all this time. This is the BEST program ever created and has saved my hide numerous times. You are a Godsend. |
[2011-10-17] Ed: After switching from BlackBerry to Android over a year ago I have been waiting for DataVault to become available. I did try some other apps along the way but none could compare. |
[2011-10-16] Jack: DataVault This is a great app! Have used it for years on bb. |
[2011-10-16] John: Excellent app. I was using this on my old blackberry and couldn't wait to get it on my android. Flexible categories and labels and easy syncing to desktop. |
[2011-10-16] Erik: Thanks, Ascendo!!!! I've been waiting for the Android version of DataVault. I downloaded the new version today, and it does NOT disappoint. Thanks Asceno .... |
[2011-10-16] Jim: DataVault fo rAndroid waited a long time for the Android version but it's great. sync's to my Laptop first time no problems . Excellent app. Looks like it was worth the wait. A big Thanks to the team at DataVault for their hard work |
[2011-10-16] Bill Sr: Hallelujah !! Worth the wait. I've been carrying around my BB for a year just to have DataVault with me, so it is great to have it on my Android. App is incredibly fast, very easy navigation, wireless sync to desktop was flawless. I too am anxious to have available on my Xoom. Great job Ascendo Dev Team !! |
[2011-10-16] Mike: DataVault I've been a long-time user of DataVault from BB to iPhone/iPad and now very happy to see it on Android. Installed and synced without problems. Now I can get rid of my iPhone! |
[2011-10-16] Greg: Wah-hoo! I had used DataVault on my BlackBerry for two years. When I switched to an Android phone a couple of months ago I was disappointed to learn that DataVault was not available. I carried my BB just for my passwords. I wrote to Ascendo and was told a product was to be released soon. I downloaded it last night and upgraded my PC version at the same time. It's even better than on the BB. I especially like the Wi-Fi synchronization. I've also received excellent support with the couple of questions I've had. |
[2011-10-16] Jim: Developers do listen YEAH!!!! I had written Ascendo almost two years ago about making this available for android and they didn't blow me off. It took a while but they came through and now as many others have said I can ditch that Blackberry. |
[2011-10-16] Teresa: At last! Worked perfectly. |
[2011-10-16] James: At Last Great to finally have this running! Love this app. |
[2011-10-16] VorlonShadow: Great app! This was one of the best apps I had when I owned a Blackberry. Now that it's on the Droid it seems to be even better! |
[2011-10-16] Hal: Good timing Switched to Android from Blackberry about 3 weeks ago. I was a satisfied DataVault user on BlackBerry and I was disappointed to find out that DataVault was not available for the Android. I am no longer disappointed. |
[2011-10-15] p1rate7: Here at last! I have been waiting for this since my migration to Android in January and it is now here. Initial impressions is that it works like it did for Blackberry with the same look and feel. The dropbox sync function between my desktop and mobile worked and so far all is well. It was worth the wait and look forward to the ability to use it on my Xoom when it is available. |
[2011-10-15] Steve: Trafficdroid X This is a great app! Had it on my Blackberry Storm and put it on my Droid X. Synced it on my laptop without any problems with old passwords. |
