Copy text from ANYWHERE on your phone. Use this to have copy paste functionality from ANY app or screen!

**If you are upgrading from a previous version, please UNINSTALL the app and then REINSTALL. A simple update will not work.**

"Copy Text" is an application that lets you copy text of ANYTHING on your phone and into your clipboard. Then, paste it into any text box by long-pressing on it. This application works on ALL phones.

ROOT IS NOT REQUIRED

This application is the non-root version of the popular application, "Copy Paste It". If you have a rooted phone, please download "Copy Paste It" instead.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLING:

This application will instruct you to download and install a free desktop application on your Windows or Mac. Once installed, you must run the desktop application with your phone attached to your computer. This will enable screenshots on your phone.

Once you've done this, you can disconnect your phone and copy text whenever you want. However, every time you restart your phone, you'll have to connect it to your computer and run the desktop application again. If you restart your phone frequently, this app may not be for you, as it may prove to be too inconvenient.

Your phone will NOT be rooted or temp-rooted in any way. No system files on your phone will be altered.

- Copy text to clipboard using on-board or networked OCR recognition.
- Copy to clipboard by shaking phone.
- Copy to clipboard by long-pressing on search button.
- Copy to clipboard by pressing overlay button.
- Support for many different languages.

To put it mildly, its a piece of crap. Installed it on my phone and when I went to use it just by going through the tutorial an error message comes up saying that it couldn't take a screenshot. I then go to the website that is on the error message and it tells me that I basically have to plug my phone into a computer and download a bunch of crap to get it to work. No thanks. Refund please!

A real boon... Sharing text from sources which do not allow copying is now possible for me (like nuggets from ebooks). I have been using this for 3 days now on my Note 2 and find it real good & easy to use. While some people may find taking the sceenshot and then making the text selection cumbersome, it seems the best way out as of now. A suggestion to the Developer- it would be good if other apps like Whats App, etc are integrated so that the copied text can be directly sent from the desired app. Thanks.

Not worth it! Every time I shut down my phone, I must reinstall the Enable Text app from my laptop. I might as well do my studying on the laptop if I can't be that far from it anyway, incase I need to reinstall. Again. I also brought Copy/Paste and Kim said he would reimburse me for it. As yet, after more then 1mo. , he still has not repayed me.

Copy text app not worth the money I jnstalled this on galaxy s3 and didnt work well, asked for refund about 5 times, just ignored me and kept updating the app, the buttons I have to press takes a snapshot of the screen then you have a picture you have to go back and delete, and after that it wont paste into the notes app I use. Iphone is much better, you can copy and paste in any app and its built in iphone, dont have to download an app to accomplish it. For me and the way I need to copy and paste its no good, and you cant get a refund.

Very well done! I find this app. To be one of my must haves for my Next book Premium 7se (Android 4.0). Works good and functions well with my. Ever note software. It behaves well along side of all other apps I have as well. I give this one a 5 star.

Copy Text Sorta frustrating to have 'Copy-Paste It' changed to be usable on rooted phones only when it was working so well on my non-rooted phone for so long. Thanks for the notice with the last update of 'Copy-Paste It' to install 'Copy Text'. I did and it accomplishes everything the previous version of 'Copy-Paste It' accomplished for me. Just what I need it to accomplish for me, copy and paste or cut and paste from anywhere to anywhere. 'Copy Text' is there working like I need if to work.

Works as advertised After reading several reviews, it would appear that most of the reviewers did NOT read and/or follow the instructions. In fact, most of the issues people seem to have with apps in general are a result of having a cheap droid. Also, most users don't understand that due to limitations of the hardware or the version of Android you're running have their limits. I am by no means a developer. However, I have been building, fixing and working with things like networks and other computer hardware for years. So I (as a user) understand why things don't always work to the expectations of your average user. You guys need to get over yourselves. This developer has made a very decent piece of software. It would be great if somehow a scroll feature could be added to the copy area so that if you have a great deal of text (I'm visually impaired so I use it for speech). But folks, bottom line. This is an excellent app for what it does. So try reading the directions for once. There's no need to trash the developer because YOU won't take the time to follow instructions.

Unworth for Bugs, Speed, Quality. 2 stars for: the idea of the app is great. However the recognizer is not and even after using the internet method, the text box appeared to have nothing. Apparently more font recogntion is needed, bold words especially. Secondly, even I have set no delay, the time for the crop box to just appear is 15s for S Gnote 10.1 and it takes >2 mins for me to correct ur false recognition of a 3 lines PDF text. Thirdly, There are times when the app don't response to appear the crop screen. Hope you can 1) improve the speed and the recognition quality 2) solve the internet method and unresponse bug. Or other apps like Scanthing will even be less time consumable for my taskes. Thank you.

Fantastic App !!! I tried the Copy-Paste-It app and found that I needed to Root my Moto Razr Maxx to use this app. Since I have not done this, am not going to, the next option was to try Copy Text also by Edward Kim. The installation went exactly as it was supposed to and the app will copy any text it can see. Beautiful! Yes, you need to find the correct driver for your phone. You will need that for other apps. Once installed, Copy Text will capture just about anything. I even copied text directly from a home screen. Once initiated, the copy box opens in 3 sec. You move it over the text you want, resize it to include what you need, and hit COPY. That's it. Does everything that it says it will. Love it.

Very clever and useful app! I was very apprehensive about purchasing this app since I was not sure whether or not it would work on my phone (LG Optimus Elite). I am happy to report that Copy Text works great and is very easy to use once everything has been setup. If there were some way to avoid having to re-enable it every time I reboot my phone, it would be perfect. I can only assume that this is due to a limitation within Android, so I cannot blame the developer. However, it would be wonderful if there were an easier way to enable the app; otherwise, I'm very satisfied. Thank you Edward Kim!

Very clever eventually I tried the Copy Paste-it Trial version first, to find out that my phone was not rooted apparently - still haven't worked out what that means :) - so got the Copy Text instead. Made a complete hash of the installation process and had to email the developer for help. He was great, sending a link for the required drivers within just an hour or two and then I was up and running. Good App, just a bit complicated to get set up, but it does what it says on the tin

Some people won't like it and others will get confused (so be warned), but one way or the other, it is good advice to check out the driver setup first, because it takes a lot longer than the 15 minutes you have to refund the order if you happen not to like it. With that said, it does work as advertised. I've only used it once so far, but it was on a long and complicated text code so I don't know if that was a fair test to share (but you should always check and confirm anyway...hey.)
