THE App for calendar reminders - never forget an appointment anymore! Perfect for business user!
Calendar Event Reminder (CER) adds a repeating calendar reminder and extends the stock calendar application. You can customize the duration, repetitions, sound and vibration pattern. Works with every synced calendar.

After adjusting CER's settings to your liking, add a calendar reminder to your existing calendar to see how it works! When alarm / reminder goes off the device will be turned on and a popup window with information about the event (title, time, location) is displayed. Alarm / reminder can be disabled by tapping Dismiss or snoozed by the Snooze button.

Explanation of the permissions:
- android.permission.VIBRATE
Control vibrator: Used for the alarm to vibrate the phone with the desired vibration pattern
- android.permission.WAKE_LOCK
Disable standby modus: Used to make sure that the screen isn’t turned off during alarm
- android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE
Phone calls / read phone state: This is to not interrupt active calls by the alarm and to stop the alarm when a phone call comes in.
- android.permission.READ_CALENDAR
Read calendar events: This is to get the time, title and location from the event when an alarm is raised.
- android.permission.WRITE_CALENDAR
Modify calendar events: When an alarm is snoozed my app has to store a new reminder for the event. This is stored in the calendar database.
- android.permission.GET_TASKS
Retrieve running applications: Used by the home helper to get the Launchers which can be associated with the home key
- android.permission.SET_PREFERRED_APPLICATIONS
Set preferred apps: Used by the home helper to replace the launcher for the home key

Best app of all time I love this app. My HTC Sensation just chirps when there is a calendar event and I need something more insistent and noticeable. I the interface is easy to navigate and understand, the menus are straightforward, and it does exactly what it promises: it is a calendar event alarm. It's also fully customizable, which is a huge plus. There are no other apps out there like this. I did have some issues with software conflicts, but the developer was very fast and helpful in responding and fixing my issue. :D

Works Very Well I was disappointed with the stock event reminder on my HTC One XL (with Android 4.0.4). I was continually missing reminders as the available alarms were not easily heard, didn't repeat and visual reminders weren't readily visible. This app allowed me to setup things how I liked with alarms that I could hear, lets me easily snooze or clear with minimal fuss and I now no longer miss reminders. A very useful app.

Nice app Takes some time to figure it all out and customize it just right, but when you do, it pretty much does what you want and works great! A notification preview feature would be very, very useful; testing the setup can be tedious. Great app, recommended! (Update: editing events in jellybean now works great)

Excellent app This app is great. Not only does it play a continuous sound rather than a single notification sound, but it ACTUALLY reminds you of events which is more than can be said for the stock Galaxy S2 reminders where there is a minor bug that means that reminders are not played. Amazing app, never again will I miss a doctor's appointment due to the fact someone in Samsung screwed up.

Does the job: Installation is straightforward, this App does everything it is supposed to do and works flawlessly. If you follow installation instructions on the YouTube video you could get a little bit confused because the menu seems to have changed. After setting the alarm on then click on your email address and that will opened up the menu toward the alarm settings. Perfect for what it is intended to do.

caused phone to crash repeatedly I was so excited when I found this app. However, after a few days of using it and my phone crashing 3-4 times a day, I had to uninstall it. I then did a hard reset on my Droid Bionic,. A few days later, I reinstalled the app hoping that there was something else wrong with my phone rather than the app itself. As soon as the app was reinstalled and I opened a calendar event, it crashed again. I have uninstalled the app again and am frustrated that I had this result - and paid for the app no less.

It Really Does Work... I hesitated buying this app due to the negative reviews, however, the inability to use custom ringtones for stock calendar events prompted me to take a chance and buy this app. Once preferences were set, I ran a test alarm. The problem, the test event I created wasn’t showing up in the calendar. Assuming I didn’t set the event correctly, I created a second event but the same happen, no test event. Okay, now I’m feeling I have been taken by this developer. I decided to try it one more time; this is when I realized the event was being created in the default My Calendar. I use a calendar by a different name created through Google, once I realized this, the correct calendar and test event was created. At the designated time the event alarm with its custom ringtone played beautifully. Samsung Galaxy S 3, ICS 4.0.4

Should be standard part of Android Android's standard calendar alarms are incredibly easy to miss (if asleep or not near the phone when it goes off), but this completely solves that problem. It is extremely customisable (perhaps even TOO customisable!), so you can make it behave in almost any way you want. The newly added option for increasing volume alarms is brilliant, as it means I won't be embarrased by my phone suddenly blaring at full volume, but I won't fail to hear it either.

This is what Google should have done. This app makes the Android calendar usable. It is what Google should have done with all notifications, including the phone and alarm clock. It is highly customizable. Once you get it set up the way you like it you never have to think about the app again, it just works. BEST APP EVER I love my Galaxy S3, Its the best smart phone Ive ever owned. UntIl I realIzed the stock notification reminder on the Galaxy's S3 is awful, in my opinion the worst on any cell phone. Solved all my problems with my Samsung-! awesome I was sorely dissappointed in the single beep or whatever sound you select to be an event reminder or alarm for my samsung galaxy s2. It seems there was no way to select a way to keep it beeping or playing a sound until I recognize the alarm and see what I am supposed to be doing. I lived and died by my calendar prior to this-and frequently lose track of time. I searched, found this app that looked like it did what I wanted. I posed a few questions to the developer and several times he responded within hours to answer each of my questions and also point out other features that were of benefit. There are many options in the app that I never would have thought of but it makes my smartphone much more useable and I am back on track in not missing things in my too busy schedule. Miss your old nokias reminders ? This app is the answer. How many appointments did I miss through the silly little 'ding' that both ios and stock android use! My supposedly less smart nokias used to do a better job. This provides repetitive notifications that you must acknowledge. Only average graphics but brilliant functionality.

The best Calender reminder app! I highly recommend this excellent Calender Reminder Event app to all Android users. I just purchased this to support the developers. I only wish that it was possible to hide/disable the "Last reminder ended at #:##" text from the notification bar (useful with low resolution screens). Fantastic App This app helps with the existing alarm on my phone, where in the past my alarm would just alert an then disappear, this app stays on my screen until I remove it. I have a hard time hearing my alarms from time to time (driving, not near phone) so this one helps me with my alarms, after all what did we put them in our calendar for after all. Must Have! Finally no more missed calendar events should of bought yrs ago. This app has tons of features and easy to use. It makes your calendar events be able to have alarm clock like notification so you don't miss any events. I don't know why this isn't built into calendar any way but kudos to this developers for fixing the problem. Great app! Just what I was looking for. What a great app! I recently moved to a smartphone and thought - this isn't so smart if it thinks a 'reminder' is a short ding and a tiny icon in a corner - I needed something that puts the message on the screen till you cancel it; and makes sure you're aware there's a reminder playing; just like my old Nokia used to do. It's a keeper. I have been beyond frustrated with the terrible speaker and vibrate functions on the GNex. I tried a dozen different calendars, but none seemed to fit the bill. This seems to integrate well with the stock calendar. An Essential Top Quality App I rely on the app to make sure I don't miss any appointments (something that used to regulally happen). I was concerned when it started crashing. Then I noticed an update on the android marketplace. This update was made specifically to fix the issue I was having. Great job keeping this app stable. Solves all my calendar issues... Calendar events that beep once are useless to me. This app turns any calendar event into an alarm that will keep bugging you until you acknowledge it. Creator got back to me quickly about an issue I had, and turns out there was an option for the issue already!

Excellent! this app does what it says on the tin. when i switched from nokia to galaxy s2 i was disappointed to find that reminders sound just once like sms and it was easy to skip or forget an important reminder.But not now..this app is brilliant and should come pre installed in all android phones!!!

This app. does it very well, with a plethora of options - give yourself some time to play & tweak it before you dismiss it. Great program I purchased this program for my HTC Rezound, which has a weak calendar reminder (one time, no repeat). I usually keep my phone on vibrate, so I was regularly missing calendar reminders. Prior to buying, I contacted the developer with questions based on some negative comments from other reviews and some things that I wanted clarrification. The developer, Frank, contacted me very quickly, answered all my questions, and assured me that if I wasn't happy he would refund my money. I installed the program and have been pleased since. The prgram menus are quite extensive, which gives you a lot of control over how the program functions. For me, I was able to set vibrate to buzz for 7 seconds and repeat for 5 times if I missed the notification. I was also able to set the reminder snooze time to 3 minutes--that gives me 5 reminders in my standard 15 minute window for an appointment. Like I said there is a lot of customization you can apply. The defaults will likely work well for a lot of users. I migrated from Palm to Android and this program provides me comparable customization for calendar reminders. I had two quirky issues, but no total failures. I recommend this program.

Great app, super helpful! I'm always forgetting to enter appointment 's on my phone calendar. Because I forget to check it. But now with this app, I use my phone calendar all the time.
