CalDAV-Sync beta (v. 0.2-rc3) Разработано dmfs |
CalDAV-Sync is a CalDAV client for Android to synchronize events. Due to its implementation as sync adapter it integrates seamlessly with the native calendar app and widgets.
(Also check out CardDAV-Sync)
This app will create new calendars on your device (one for each calendar on your server account)
@drjones: You can create as many accounts as you like. See the screenshots. On my test system I've 15 CalDAV-Sync accounts and a total of 30 calendars.
Please, if you find a bug send me an email. Without detailed error description I often can't do anything especially when I can't reproduce it. It's also possible that your server has a bug that CalDAV-Sync can not (yet) tolerate or work around. If you report bugs I can fix them quickly and everyone will benefit.
This app is in beta state. This means: It works quite well but a few features may still be missing.
It is tested and works with
- DAViCal
- SOGo
- Zimbra
- OSX/iCal Server
- eGroupware
- Oracle Beehive
- david.fx
- Yahoo
- iCloud
- and many more, see http://dmfs.org/wiki/ for a list of all servers reported to work
After the installation got to "Settings" > "Accounts & Sync" and create a new Account.
Please enable background data if you want to sync via 3G or 4G.
Important! If your phone removes the accounts on reboot, move the App back from SD card to the phone. Some phones (if not all) can't handle sync adapters on SD Card properly.
The calendar app on the screenshots is not part of this app.
If there is no calendar installed on your device, go to my website and install CalendarProvider.apk and Calendar.apk (FroYo and Gingerbread only)
Once this app reaches version 1.0, I'll make it open source.
Features and (some of its) limitations:
* basic support for self-signed certificates
* any number of CalDAV-accounts supported
* automatic calendar discovery (works for most servers)
* syncs multiple alarms
* load calendar colors from servers if available
* two-way-sync
* sync multiple calendars per account
* full support for time zones
* attendees are not yet synced
* many other things, please see my website

[2011-11-14] darshan: App works great! Thanks for answering all my questions so quickly! |
[2011-11-13] Peter: As good as the expensive ones Works brilliant with cloud |
[2011-11-10] Ali: It works! With zimbra and native HTC desire cal app |
[2011-10-31] Stephen: OWNCLOUD Manual mode: http://ip/owncloud/apps/calendar/caldav.php |

[2011-10-31] wahmed: Calendar Invites are not implemented Switching over from iOS to Droid. This was the only viable and integrated CalDAV application i found. Too bad native CalDAV should be provided by the OS. Why it isn't there is beyond me. Anyway CalDAV-Sync saved the day. But unfortunately unlike the CalDAV implemention on iOS this is not complete. I cannot see and hence Accept/Decline calendar Invites. For me it is a vital functionality. I guess beggers can't be choosers. Anyway I would have given it 5/5 if invites were working. |

[2011-10-28] Keith: Works well for Zimbra 7 Community Edition Synced my Tasks and my Calendar with little trouble. It's about time we could sync CalDAV to our android calendars. Thanks! |
[2011-10-25] Art: Does exactly what it claims Since switching to Android I've been frustrated by the lack of native CalDav support. This app is the next best thing. The way it integrates as a sync adaptor, my CalDav calendars show up in the native calendar app as well as a custom widget I use. I can finally view and edit my work calendar on my phone. I'm very pleased. |

[2011-10-20] Al: Buyer be ware - this is not as easy as it looks Purchased this app and tried to synch my Yahoo Calendar with my android phone: tried for hours. Searched the internet for help support, tried everything. Absolutely nothing worked. Buyer be ware, this is not as easy as it looks. I have yet to make this work. |
[2011-10-19] Andrew: Worked fine for zimbra. When I bought my new phone (mytouch 4g slide) running gingerbread, the accect any ssl button was gone. This worked great |
[2011-10-19] Biju: Great! Works very well! |
[2011-10-15] Kai: good work - good price Works perfectly together with my ubuntu DAViCal-Server (apache2). My external brain is now better than my internal :-) |
[2011-10-10] Arlen: Works well with Bedework Works very well with Bedework's personal caldav server - two way sync with multiple calendars works nicely. I haven't tried advanced features yet, but for basic CalDAV, this is very good. |
[2011-10-10] jan: The calDAV butler. Relaxed and invisible. Brilliant piece of software. I am using it to sync a calDAV calendar on my Synology DiskStation. |
[2011-10-10] Nathanael: Happy customer, stable product . Works great with our SOGo and Kerio systems. VERY stable for beta. Would love unified config UI with CardDav-Sync. |
[2011-10-10] mr: Works with DaviCal and Evolution Works better than I expected! |
[2011-10-08] T.K.: I Feel Ripped Off Purchased the app because it claims to work with Yahoo. It took my account information and went through a sync cycle. But none of my events loaded |
[2011-09-28] charles: Works well and invisibly I needed this to sync with an older version of Zimbra, which it does perfectly. Setup was super easy--it figured out most of it on it's own. Now that it is configured, it just runs with no interaction required from me. Plus it integrates with every calendar widget I've tried with no problems. Even though it isn't officially supported for production use yet, Bi-directional sync Works flawlessly too (so far). Great app. |
[2011-09-27] Anonymous: Awesome. Very reliable. Superb job. |
[2011-09-26] Vihar Sheth: Perfect for Yahoo! Calendar My entire life is on Yahoo! Calender and this app makes the syncing of my phone's calender to my Yahoo! account seemless. I've done a bunch of tests of entering and deleting entries on the phone and on Yahoo!'s site and the syncing has been perfect. |
[2011-09-26] Denis: Very good. Still some glitches but it's a beta after all. Keep up the good work! |
[2011-09-25] garyo: Excellent Works perfectly with my Zimbra server! |
[2011-09-21] Tandy: Works with yahoo I would have given five stars except it was really confusing for a non techie! |
[2011-09-18] BJ: Works perfectly It's the only caldav app I can find that works. For me, two way sync works perfectly as well. In my case the server is a Zimbra server. |
[2011-09-15] Cranium: Best Working Best Priced If you want CalDav to work on your device IN your native beautiful android calendar then you gotta get this. I was about to return my Galaxy Tab when I was unable to access a specific CalDav server. The dev worked with me to help resolve the issue and now it works beautifully. I recommend this dev for any project and you should buy his apps. I'm going to find out how to send him a six pack or something! |
[2011-09-07] LikeAPolaroid: Excellent Great job! Works perfectly with Oracle Beehive |
[2011-09-01] Ben: Great! Works wonderfully. I have been using this for a few months now. |
[2011-08-31] Glenn: I am elated..... works with Oracle Calendar What a great little application - simply works with the CalDav as designed. I have messed with configurations for days, wasted countless personal hours - on to productivity. Precisely what Marketplace development is all about - thanks Guys |
[2011-08-31] Tim: Works well with DaviCal I've been using this with DaviCal for several days now and, so far, it's worked perfectly (including bidirectional synchronization). |
[2011-08-18] downtherabbithole: Apparently the 15 minute refund period is new, and not the fault of the developer. App doesn't work for my provider but developer seems willing to fix |
[2011-08-18] Suse: Brilliant - Syncs my GS2 to my DAViCal server Installed on my GS2 it two way syncs my calendars to my own DAViCal server which then syncs my Thunderbird calendars with no problems. For an alpha release this works remarkably well. I also use the CardDAV Sync and Contact Editor++ to complete my PIM syncing requirements. |
[2011-08-16] Victor: I just love this app. Works great with yahoo. |
[2011-08-15] Donty: So far it has worked very well with our OSS Zimbra. Plugs an otherwise gaping hole in Android. Simple to use and reliable. Many thanks for the work! |
[2011-08-10] Graeme: Syncs Yahoo calendar to my Samsumg Galaxy S2 perfectly. |
[2011-08-09] drjones: Overall great app, tight integration as advertised, but -1 star for no multi-account/multi-server support. Otherwise a 5-star app! |
[2011-07-30] meangrasshopper: Excellent! Using Zimbra 7.1.1. |
[2011-07-28] meni: Works **much** bettet than anDal. Using oracle beehive. Is there an option for read only? |
[2011-07-22] Dennis H: Zero customer support. |
[2011-07-14] pat: Great app and amazing support. Works well with Oracle Beehive. I initially had an issue with some recurring events, Marten fixed it almost immediately. |
[2011-07-12] Cameron: Syncs with MobileMe - Awesome!! I bought this as I was looking for a way to sync my MobileMe (soon to be iCloud) calendars to my new phone. I set it up in a few minutes using the settings from iCal. I was amazed to see it work so flawlessly as I was not able to find any solutions to this problem elsewhere. Definitely recommended!! |
[2011-07-01] Anonymous: First market purchase and worth every cent |
[2011-06-24] Brian: Need to update my comment - it stopped working after an upgrade, but Marten immediately went to work and fixed it. It works well and GREAT service! |
[2011-06-23] Firestarter: I was using a free ical sync application before this one and it suddenly stopped working after updating to gingerbread. This worked like a charm. |
[2011-06-22] MJD: Works great, does the job perfectly. Recent updates are constant improvement and developer is very friendly! Recommended. |
[2011-06-21] Thomas: Excellent I'm using cardDAV too. This is seriously a nice piece of work. Works great for me with davical as server application. |
[2011-06-19] Justin: Marten, didn't even know you got started on calDAV, but buying was a no-brainer based on how great your cardDAV is. This one is as good, thanks! |
[2011-06-17] Jason: Awesome App I have tried for months to get a working solution for Oracle's Calendar server and this worked within 5 of purchase. I should have bought it sooner. Two-way sync is still experimental and I can't wait for final release. |
[2011-06-10] babylon5x: Great App Work beautifully on my Desire HD. I sync it with my Yahoo Calendar. Looking forward to more features being implemented..such as two-way syncing. Its amazing that there are very few apps that work well with CalDav servers (unless you're using Google calendar), this one fills the gap nicely. |
[2011-06-10] Lorinc: Totally works It's totally works w two way sync w zimbra server, thanks a lot, nice app, you should consider to build a beta version soon, thank you. |
[2011-06-10] Alex: Works flawlessly with self-hosted SOGo server and self-signed certificates. Detects colors and names automagically. |
[2011-06-08] Leander: Using this to get my mobileMe calendar on my droid. Works perfectly! Great Work! |
[2011-06-01] Tomáš: It works with Zimbra! Since Google changed their policy with Gmail on handling foreign email addresses, I had to copy each work event manually - this solved it. (my colleagues should follow :-) |
[2011-05-25] Vlasac: So far the only tool that made my android work with Oracle cal server. Good job on alpha! |
