Auto WiFi Toggle (v. 1.6.5) Разработано Hideki Kato |
This application will automatically turn on and turn off your phone WiFi. This application aims to decrease your WiFi operation, and therefore save your battery.
The recommended settings are selected by default. You should confirm the settings are appropriate for your usage of WiFi.
1. WiFi Auto On
- This app periodically turns on WiFi. After a while, it checks whether a WiFi connection has been made. When you do not have a WiFi connection, the phone WiFi is turned off.
2. WiFi Auto Off
- This app turns off WiFi when the phone WiFi service turned on but you are not connected to a known WiFi access point.
- Check Policy ("When screen on" or "Always")
* Please push the button("Start Application").
* This application doesn't use GPS.

[2013-07-03] A Google User: Unreliable Constantly tried to contract to every Wi-Fi I come near. Even though I tell it to connect to only 1 network. Sometimes it works sometimes not. |
[2013-05-21] A Google User: Good, sort of This app works most of the time. I don't know if it needs to be enabled every time I restart my phone or if it just stops randomly, but I never know if it's working unless I turn on all notifications, which is annoying. |
[2013-03-28] A Google User: Great app does what's says... |
[2013-03-27] A Google User: Seriously? Pay for the app and still get ads?!? |
[2013-03-11] A Google User: tripled my battery life. Should be part of Android OS. |
[2013-03-08] A Google User: Wonderful app Saves so much battery |
[2012-12-26] A Google User: Keeps Turning on Airplane Mode I want to like this application, but it just doesn't work right. If I go out of WiFi range, it sometimes turns Airplane mode on and then it stays on even if I get back into WiFi range. When I notice it half a day later, I get a zillion emails and missed call messages. But, it also doesn't work when I need it to. I went to an apartment complex the other day that I had never been to. My phone saw many WiFi signals that I couldn't log into and this program kept the WiFi on the whole time and my battery went from 100% to 0% in under four hours. |
[2012-12-15] A Google User: Works flawlessly Been using this app on razr max x for quite a while now. Has not let me down even once. Great app. Set it and forget it. |
[2012-11-29] A Google User: Have no idea if it works. I haven't the slightest idea what the dev intends for the config. First time I've had language get in the way of figuring out an app. |
[2012-11-24] A Google User: Awesome Must have app, works as advertised and helps me keep control over my wifi and battery. UPDATE, the latest version has been causing my phone to reboot when it checks for wifi. Two stars off until it's fixed! |
[2012-11-16] A Google User: It just works! Does exactly what it should - turns on when wi-fi detected, turns off when it's not. It switches wi-fi on at home and goes off when I leave, it switches on again at work and goes off when I leave. Simples! |
[2012-11-12] A Google User: Wifi never on It turns off wifi all right. But it will never turn it back on. |
[2012-10-31] A Google User: great app |
[2012-10-23] A Google User: Set once and done! App does exactly what I hoped it would. I leave the house, WiFi off. I come home, WiFi on. I go to sleep, so does WiFi, etc... |
[2012-10-17] A Google User: : / This doesn't work been home for an hour and still hasn't detected my wifi uninstall! |
[2012-09-28] A Google User: Not working with DROID4 /ICS Does not work since ICS updates. |
[2012-09-26] A Google User: Battery Saver Extremely helpful in saving my S3 battery life |
[2012-09-26] A Google User: Great app! Great thinking behind it |
[2012-09-20] A Google User: Not as automatic as I thought... I was thinking this app turned on WiFi due to your location, such as home, or within a certain radius from home. Instead, you have to select times of the day it turns on and off regardless where you are. |
[2012-09-18] A Google User: Pointless Perhaps it works somehow, but is rather pointless considering the fact that it only takes a second to switch wireless off.To unreliable too. |
[2012-08-19] A Google User: Works very well Love it |
[2012-08-13] A Google User: Friendly Developer Great concept. Developer responded quickly to my issue and resized his app to fit my phone's high resolution screen. Thank you. |
[2012-08-09] A Google User: Locks on to open hotspots |
[2012-08-09] A Google User: Works great! Have Droid Razr Maxx- works great. As advertised. |
[2012-08-08] A Google User: Works perfectly: switch on and forget about it *UPDATE: Just upgraded to paid version to reward developer for an excellent app.* The instructions are easy to understand. Switch it on, and it's done. I never have to think about wifi. To those having auto connect issues with public wifi... You have to disable auto connect in you're phone's settings under wifi. Brilliant app. Should be baked into the operating system. |
[2012-08-08] A Google User: Excellent Most useful app on my phone, Thanks for the jelly bean update! |
[2012-08-04] A Google User: Auto disable mobile network sharing I disable my WiFi hotspot during WiFi network check in the defined interval |
[2012-07-30] A Google User: Works great. This saves my battery by cutting off WiFi. Unless I need WiFi as soon as I get home, I never notice this app. It brings my WiFi back up in a matter of minutes. |
[2012-07-28] A Google User: Great app! I was looking for an app that would automatically turn my WiFi on and off, depending on the presence of a network, and this does exactly that. |
[2012-07-17] A Google User: Too much juice Was promising but the app runs continuously in background and uses simply too much juice. Significantly shortens battery life. Uninstalled. |
[2012-07-16] A Google User: It is so nice, not turn the WiFi off & on Now, please add the same feature, for Bluetooth. Make me want to pay for this app. Thank you, in advance. |
[2012-07-12] A Google User: Bad Slowed down my phone. HTC inspire |
[2012-07-11] A Google User: Only worked the first time for me The auto-off function (which I needed) seemed to work perfectly after install, but after a couple of reboots, it stopped switching off my wifi, even after resetting and restarting the app. After fiddling around with it for 10 min or so, I gave up and uninstalled. |
[2012-07-04] A Google User: Not on my Moto Droid! Stalled on a screen w/ on/off buttons and a 'don't kill' warning. My wireless usually set exactly wrong. How to uninst all? Finally had to do it through Playstore! Ads intrusive. |
[2012-06-30] A Google User: Great AND Also AUTO CONNECTS TO STRONGEST HOME AP I was looking for an app that would auto connect to the strongest signal AP in my home as I move from room to room (I currently have 2 + a guest one). I couldn't find one so I chose this app so I could easily switch networks/APs quickly. I've only had it for a day and it works perfectly! As an added BONUS it appears to actually switch to the strongest wifi signal network automatically!!! It really is exactly what I needed. Excellent. Thank you. |
[2012-06-28] A Google User: Great utility to have on phone Using it for two days and already can see a benefit coming out of it. Convenient and battery saver. Exactly does what its supposed to do |
[2012-06-26] A Google User: Great app I have actually used it for a while with several of my phones, doesn't seem to be working on my photon 4G however |
[2012-06-06] A Google User: Didn't work un-Installed |
[2012-06-02] A Google User: Auto Wi-Fi Toggle This application aim to decrease your Wi-Fi operation |
[2012-05-30] A Google User: Works as advertised, never had any issue with its working |
[2012-05-23] A Google User: Excellent Little Helper This program really helps a lot with battery saving and serves as a reminder too about you being in the vicinity of your usual Wi-Fi. |
[2012-05-15] A Google User: Great App |
[2012-05-07] A Google User: Set it and forget it This app just flat out does what you want it to: no wifi? Shut it down. Wifi available? Turn it back on. beautiful. Instructions and icons are a bit confusing, it's true. Once you have it down, though you never have to worry about it again. Love it. Obvious battery gains. |
[2012-04-16] A Google User: Short 1 star for no widget switch Works great! I would like to be able to enable/disable with one touch so my WIFI can tether to my ipad. Would be great if the WIFI Tether app (non market version) which works great could toggle this app! Or combine the two. I have to stop the auto wifi to start the tether or it well turn the radio off. I'd pay $5 or more. |
[2012-04-16] A Google User: It works really well ... on S2. And to the moron who wants it so that Americans can understand - he didn't have any crayons.......moron..... |
[2012-04-09] A Google User: Love it A God send |
[2012-03-30] A Google User: Survives reboot! I am a person who uses WiFi a lot in airplane mode and needed an app or widget to automatically turn WiFi back on after a random reboot event. With this the WiFi is reconnected within 5 minutes of reboot completely unattended, with the appropriate options set. Thank you Hideki, I no longer have to worry that I will miss a call or alert because my Droid decided to reboot in my pocket or while sleeping. |
[2012-03-27] A Google User: Didn't work for me :( Terrible. Won't open correctly all I get is a black screen I've tried reinstalling and restarting |
[2012-03-22] A Google User: Confusing to use All I wanted to do was have WiFi turn off during work hours. Too confusing to use. Uninstalled |
[2012-03-20] A Google User: Needs to be updated... UI needs to be updated. Other than that, works great! |
[2012-03-10] A Google User: No weekend settings without paying Weekend settings should be a basic function. Duh. Uninstalling. |
[2012-03-09] A Google User: Battery saver It saves the battery so well and you never have to think about turning off the WiFi. |
[2012-03-07] A Google User: Excellent My only issue is that it automatically connects me to hotspots which need manual sign in through a browser so then I actually lose connectivity - can you make it so certain SSIDs do not connect automatically? |
[2012-03-05] A Google User: Block The gsm blocks after activating |
[2012-02-21] A Google User: Works, but not as well as simply disabling/enabling wifi yourself Works, but not as well as simply disabling/enabling wifi yourself. Added about 25% more battery life when compared to leaving wifi on. But reduced battery life by 25% when turning it on/off manually. |
[2012-02-15] A Google User: No thanks Screen size stinks. I've got 4.5 inches of screen and this only uses half |
[2012-02-12] A Google User: Yay! Perfect! |
[2012-02-11] A Google User: Great battery saver Use this with smart actions on my razr. Works better than other expensive apps! |
[2012-01-29] A Google User: Couldn't live without thus app! Never have to turn on my wifi to see if anything is available. If there's wifi than I can count on this app to know it! |
[2012-01-28] A Google User: Percent Works just how I want it. Notably saves power by disabling when there is no wifi connection available. Only the icon accidently remains in the bar when using off-by-clock feature. |
[2012-01-17] A Google User: Works well. But I cannot understand many of the Basic and Advanced the menu options. Went to the website, all I can see is kindergarten graphics. |
[2012-01-05] A Google User: Could be better Found that the tool worked but would intermittently switch off wifi even when there's a strong signal. I'm now using another app called 'auto wifi on/off' instead, much simpler and more stable. |
[2012-01-04] A Google User: Solid App Works great on my DroidX. Turn off notifications and it's pretty much transparent. Thanks for offering for free! |
[2011-12-24] A Google User: Lifesaver Battery life about doubled in my normal routine |
[2011-12-18] A Google User: Great idea It still connects when the signal is very low. Loading speed is very slow (very annoying) It should not connect to the WiFi if lower than 2 bars. |
[2011-12-16] A Google User: Language barrier. Write the instructions so Americans can understand. Product may work but no speak translated Japanese. So sorry. Sayonara. |
[2011-12-09] A Google User: Excellent Does what it says. |
[2011-12-01] A Google User: Works better than juice defender I want WiFi only on at night while charging to download podcast to SD card |
[2011-11-26] A Google User: !? Never know when it is running or not. It is a bit strange: when you have a blue "!" + in the system info (the up screen you can scroll down), I think it's supposed to be running, but you can click on "start wifi" !? When it's red, you can click on "stop". I was expecting the opposite. And I never knows when it's working. + that "!" icon is uggly ! Uninstalled! |
[2011-11-23] A Google User: Hm Not so sure about that. It seemed to work but then I was unable to turn on WiFi at all. Needs to accept manual override or settings need to be clearer. Saves a lot of battery though. |
[2011-11-16] A Google User: Might be ok Instructions are poorly written. Confusing UI. Makes me questionthe the quality of the code. |
[2011-11-15] A Google User: This WORKS This does & fixes exactly what my problem usually is...forgetting to turn off wifi....which in turn saves some battery...turns it on when in range |
[2011-11-14] A Google User: Good ole standby |
[2011-11-14] A Google User: Works well Occasionally turns off WiFi when you're trying to connect manually but other than that does exactly what it says on the tin. Nice. |
[2011-11-09] A Google User: My latest. Review looks weird. Great app |
[2011-10-31] A Google User: Does what it should do. I love this app, great idea for time schedule and everything is adjustable in settings. Very complete, well written app. Minor complaint 4 UI. Droid 3 |
[2011-10-24] A Google User: Good Nice.been searching this apps so can save battery in wifi area not to depends on network data |
[2011-10-15] A Google User: Great app - one more suggestion This is a great app. If you have installed the Android Asssistant 17 Features, you will see just how much battery power is used running wifi even when not needed. One extra feature I would like to see in Auto WiFi Toggle: when there is a wifi connection that you are not actively using (as measured by either lack of screen keystrokes/actions, or a blanked out screen) and have not done so for a chosen period of time, then you could opt to have the wifi connection dropped automatically. |
[2011-10-13] A Google User: Didn't seem to work. Adopt a shelter pet. |
[2011-09-28] A Google User: Works well Good stuff |
[2011-09-28] A Google User: Excellent app This is what I was looking for. It automatically turns on and off Wi-Fi. It also helped to fix my Galaxy Ace phone's Screen Of Death (SOD) problem. |
[2011-09-22] A Google User: Good Comment please..after use this app. |
[2011-09-12] A Google User: Great! Turns my wifi off when I leave my house. |
[2011-09-11] A Google User: Battery Saver Helps save battery by turning wifi on/off as needed. Works as advertised. Great application. Highly recommend downloading this! |
[2011-09-08] A Google User: Great! A must have app! |
[2011-08-30] A Google User: Ok |
[2011-08-23] A Google User: Works great. Works great. Samsung Captivate. 2.2. Nostalgia 1.5. Rom. |

[2011-08-15] A Google User: Good little tweak Don't give the dev a hard time because you don't understand. Default wifi sleep policy = screen on wifi on, screen off wifi off |
[2011-08-14] A Google User: When will you guys solve out this simple problem !!! ALL WE WANT IS WIFI TO GET ENABLED WHEN SCREEN IS ON AND DISABLED WHEN SCREEN GETS OFF !! Deepak |
[2011-08-06] A Google User: Works great! Love love love it |
[2011-07-27] A Google User: Can't remove the annoying icon from status bar... decided to uninstall immediately |
[2011-07-24] A Google User: Used to like 4* but doesnt seem to work well on non rooted Samsung Galaxy S2 2.3.3. Auto wifi off not consistant on display off. Plus UI needs work. |
[2011-07-13] A Google User: Not so good after Gingerbread update It was working great with 2.2. But with 2.3 not so great. I think with 2.3 the OS has a difficult time picking up wifi networks which causes Auto WiFi Toggle to just turn on and off every 15 minutes. |
[2011-07-07] A Google User: Working great on rooted, stock Rom thunderbolt. |
[2011-07-02] A Google User: Works flawlessly on LG Revolution. |
[2011-06-29] A Google User: I suspect most problems are due to wrong settings. A little confusing at first but not rocket science. Great on EVO w/ gingerbread. |
[2011-06-26] A Google User: Loads of hassle to set this thing up, useless instructions, missleading icons and fails to function most of the time! |
