[2013-02-05] A Google User: Lists/ sub tasks Is lists/ subtasks a paid feat, it appears to be in the 1st screen shot? Having lists added to a task and a 4x1 widget would get me to buy the power pack. Other then that great app. |
[2013-02-05] A Google User: Awesome Absolutely love it |
[2013-02-04] A Google User: Me and Astrid I have done great things. Astrid was there to help. |
[2013-02-04] A Google User: Pretty terrible I've had this app (and Power Pack add on) for more than a year, maybe 2. It still syncs terribly with Google Tasks, causing multiple tasks to appear. I use it to jot down tasks from my phone and tablet but that's proved to be a disaster. I'm ending my relationship with it now as it's making me less productive having to clean it up. |
[2013-02-04] A Google User: Extremely efficient app |
[2013-02-04] A Google User: Duplicates galore Sync is unreliable & duplicates tasks at random. I've been an Astrid user since 2009, & I used to love it. Now it's been duplicating my tasks with every other update. I'm left with hundreds of duplicates, & I just don't have the time to manually go through them every time Astrid sync fails & decides to duplicate everything. What a headache. Loyal user; now uninstalled. |
[2013-02-04] A Google User: Spam Spam, spam, spam. Why so many emails? Uninstall! |
[2013-02-03] A Google User: What a Mess I've tried most of the Task Management apps on the market, and have yet to find one that does what it is supposed to do, and does easily and simply. I've come back to Astrid a couple times, and have left it a couple times. Each time, it has caused so much frustration that I will not come back to it again. - Reminders keep popping up daily when I have reminders turned off - Repeating tasks don't work - Constantly out of sync between the website, mobile app, widget, and Google Calendar (I sync every 15 mins). It takes to much time to clean up mis-placed/mis-dated apps. Never again. |
[2013-02-03] A Google User: Helpful Doesn't away work add i expect with contacts, but overall a pretty useful app |
[2013-02-02] A Google User: Awesome Helps me keep my tasks in order.. |
[2013-02-02] A Google User: Drains power Okay application but a few unnecessary notifications & seems to drain battery life. |
[2013-02-02] A Google User: Long Time User This widget has been on my home screen since I found it. Thanks for a great app! |
[2013-02-02] A Google User: New Tasks go to the bottom of the list This app is feature rich and I love the fact that it offers location based reminders with Locale. I absolutely hate the fact that all newly entered tasks go to the bottom of the page. I wish that someone would reply to my email or feedback posting regarding this issue. 5 stars and many word of mouth recommendations if this issue is addressed promptly. |
[2013-02-01] A Google User: Best App I Own This is by far the most important app I own. I love the ability to categorize each task into list, customize the look and most importantly the ability to manage it from my PC task bar. |
[2013-02-01] A Google User: Love app and use across platforms-Android SLOWEST! I love this app as a Google Chrome extension on PC and app on iPad and iPod Touch. However, given that this device, my Android phone, is with me the most often, I would LOVE if it didn't just refuse to open, repetitively take me to an edit task screen when I'm trying to view a list, take 30 seconds to load options, and generally look VERY clunky on Android. Why can't it be sleek like the iOS versions? And fast like them PLEASE update! |
[2013-02-01] A Google User: Simple and useful! A great app to maintain your tasks. |
[2013-02-01] A Google User: Great thus far but... What happened to the "hidden" feature? Like another user mentioned, I can't seem to hide tasks anymore. |
[2013-02-01] A Google User: Great Customer Service Have been in contact with support for the past 2 weeks about adding the ability to edit and create new gtasks. They informed me that they couldn't do at the moment but would consider it. Super fast and responsive customer support. |
[2013-02-01] A Google User: Excellent! I love this app! I use it daily for reminders! The only thing that would make it perfect was if during the quiet hours, all reminders would be disabled completely. |
[2013-02-01] A Google User: Great to-do app This app is very helpful to organize homework and tasks with. Suggestion: add a "currently completing" to the reminders, instead of having to choose either snooze or complete. This way, we can start tasks after the reminder, and perhaps have Astrid check up on us later. |
[2013-02-01] A Google User: Modest interface and terrible friend management Pro: - task sharing with friends - structured tasks (tasks, subtasks, sub-subtasks and so on) - everything can be done from the website or the app and gets synchronized Cons: - bad graphic - friend management is terrible: you can't delete a friend (so if you invited a wrong address you will always have it pending), un-sharing a list has to be done from the app (if you try to do it from the website you will remove the friend and find him back the next time you open the list), - you can give a structure to the tasks (tasks, subtasks, etc..) only if you select the drag and drop sort, even if there is no reason not to allow it with other sorting options (basically every task is considered on its own, even if it is a subtask) - new tasks will be always inserted on the top of a list (this can be really a pin in the ***) |
[2013-01-31] A Google User: Great app! This is a fantastic App! However' 1.we need the ability to add "Mini" Tasks. For example A task for John MAIN TASK -Clean house: SUBTASKS- Living Room □ Bedroom□ Kitchen□ |
[2013-01-31] A Google User: Astrid is by far the best! Would like to see option to group tasks in notification instead of multiple notifications per task other than list view. Could expand settings within a task. For example individual custom notification sounds this could be useful for urgent tasks! Great app! |
[2013-01-31] A Google User: Helps me Have got my life back together by making use of this app. Now i can manage my time better and complete tasks on target. |
[2013-01-31] A Google User: Poor sync to google sync to google task is patchy |
[2013-01-31] A Google User: Nice |
[2013-01-31] A Google User: Essential. If you plan to get things done, especially with other people this app is required. |
[2013-01-31] A Google User: 39.9 $ for a year, haha hahaha!!! The app is good but the premium app asks 5$ a month or 39.99 $ per year. Ridiculous! |
[2013-01-31] A Google User: This app sucks I can't even figure out how to use this app. I have tried everything to just make list. I can't figure out how. There are no freakin directions anywhere. Deleting it! |
[2013-01-31] A Google User: Does not work I tried it on my GS2 it did not give me any notifications. I just got spam emails |
[2013-01-30] A Google User: Easy to use, but need improvement Nice app the features are good, but there is a bug. Repeat tasks doesn't work properly. it skips the months if set its monthly repeating tasks |
[2013-01-30] A Google User: Great if everything worked Forwarding email to turn into task featurw does not seem to work all the time. I think I'll go with a less complicated app then. |
[2013-01-30] A Google User: Slow to load I love the list and hidden task features, but it is slow to load. Everytime I open it, it will take 3 - 5s to load. |
[2013-01-30] A Google User: Excellent app for task management Its a very good application to manage your daily task. The most premium feature i liked is that we can access our task list from anywhere through mobiles and at office or home through computer/laptop/tablets. |
[2013-01-30] A Google User: Very unstable The functionality of the application is wonderful. Could have been a five start application is it didn't crash my phone everything I try to open it. |
[2013-01-30] A Google User: Locking up my phone. I have a galaxy 3, simply doesn't work. |
[2013-01-30] A Google User: Buena aplicaciòn Hasta ahora me ha funcionado muy bien, la acabo de bajar, por lo que necesito más tiempo para calificarla. |
[2013-01-29] A Google User: Great! A few little unpolished elements, but this is the start of a great app! |
[2013-01-29] A Google User: Vital Settings Item Not Showing Works pretty good! It's true its not intuitive.... I haven't experienced minor bugs but some have. For what I use it for its fine, although the free version does a lot, but u may not need to spend 40 bucks like me on the premium version. Or go for it if u like having all the options. |
[2013-01-29] A Google User: Clunky, over complicated user interface |
[2013-01-29] A Google User: Hidden Tasks! I really like this To-Do app more than others that I've tried, mostly because of the widget. The widget is simple, clean, and easy to use. I really like how it displays the date due. As a recent college graduate, the time has come to pay back my student loans. I have a quite a few which are due on different days, so I add them to my Astrid task list. It's convenient because once I've made a payment for the month, I can select the option to reset the task to the following month. Simple, easy, effortless. My only complaint right now is the fact that hidden tasks aren't exactly hidden. They are marked as [hidden] when you are directly in the application. However, the widget still displays all the tasks. I'd rather have my tasks off the list until closer to the due date. Otherwise, I don't notice the urgency of completing a task if it's there all the time. EDIT: Thanks for the super quick reply, Astrid Inc.! Every thing is now perfect! |
[2013-01-28] A Google User: Very bad confusion ... Whoever is writing that it's a great task list App can't be using it but must have looked at all of the features and thought it was brilliant. In practice this is a bewilderingly confusing App. And things don't work. Even the Lite version within the App hasn't change this. For example when I am creating a task it asks if I want to repeat it. I say yes, every 5 minutes. It alerts me once to it and doesn't repeat the task reminder every 5 minutes even though it says it will remind me.. Even the wording is wrong. The word 'reminder' is thrown around the App for different things. And some of the words look greyed out giving you the indication that they can't be clicked on, when they can. This App should be simple and not confusing. It needs re-writing from the ground up. And would benefit from some help videos. |
[2013-01-28] A Google User: So far so good I've only used this app a few times over the past couple of weeks. I am used to using Any.do which seemed easier to use (having less features) for everyday stuff, but because I'm still learning to use this I might give 5 stars once I become more familiar and efficient using this app. Also, I'd like to see an option to sync Evernote tasks and clips. If Any.do offers such a feature in the future, then I might delete Astrid. As for now, it's a tie between the two apps, for me. |
[2013-01-27] A Google User: Awesome 5 stars |
[2013-01-27] A Google User: No! It crashed within the first 5 minutes!!! Super frustrating :( |
[2013-01-27] A Google User: Favorite task master Would love reverse task sync. Love there it is multi platform and always synced. Definitely the best app for my needs. I use it along with Ziplist. |
[2013-01-27] A Google User: 1x1 widget name disappears Move from 5 to 4 stars. it's annoying that every time I upgrade, the 1x1 widget name disappears in the home screen. Won't appear until I delete and reinstall the widget. Phone: Galaxy Note 2 |
[2013-01-27] A Google User: Great app I like this app a great deal, but was hoping that when you put in a task to call somebody that you could just click the link, say of the person's name, assuming their name is already in your phone's address book, and it would then link to make that call right then and there. Also wish it would do the same for emails and texts...then this app would be a 5+. |
[2013-01-27] A Google User: Highly Recommended I've been using Astrid regularly for years and have loved it. Works well with my Google tasks and keeps getting better with updates. |
[2013-01-26] A Google User: doesn't like my LG Optimus G for some reason it causes weird interface issues. |
[2013-01-26] A Google User: Good to use |
[2013-01-25] A Google User: Fantastic This app is the best to-do list on the play store. I just love the little widget you can put on your home screen! It is so handy and easily accessible! This app literally motivates me to do my work. I just love it! |
[2013-01-25] A Google User: Does what it says. In the worst way possible. 1. Tried updating it. Took 2 hours. This takes up so much memory and it runs very slowly 2 sends you emails. It already pops up as a notification, why email me? |
[2013-01-25] A Google User: A bit useless now. Was really excited about this app like six months ago. But not I just annoys me reminding me of tasks I just bloody ticked off. Please fix I'm a loyal customer as I've continued to use even though its doing these pointless things. |
[2013-01-24] A Google User: Notifications. Use ro love this app. But i atarted to receive notifications when i had them shut off so i thought ok it most be the new update. Go to settings shut off any new notification settings and i still get crap from this in my notification bar. Only reason i was using this app was for the widget add ons since no other dev can get the widgets right on their task list apps. |
[2013-01-24] A Google User: Sync Issue Been using Astrid for a while and it's great but now that I have 2 devices (Nexus 4&7) I notice that most times they don't sync before they remind you. I am syncing w/Astrid.com. If I complete a task on my phone at 1pm that is due at 2pm, then later on turn on my tablet at 3pm sure enough it will put the past due reminder on the tablet's notification bar. I wish there was an option to sync at device startup THEN check for past-due tasks. |
[2013-01-24] A Google User: Awesome Simply superb |
[2013-01-24] A Google User: Great app. Simple. Complex. Complete. Great job Excellent organisational app. Has it all. Keep up the good work guys ;-) Any update or upgrade coming soon? |
[2013-01-24] A Google User: Uh oh :( I loved this app until the app started duplicating all of my tasks 2, 3, 4, even 5 of the same task and bringing back tasks, months old. Other than that, which makes it almost useless, I loved this app. It was perfect for the forgetful type, like me!! |
[2013-01-24] A Google User: Excellent across all my devices I use this on PC (Chrome), Nexus 7 tablet and Samsung Galaxy W phone, all works smoothly so far. I'm generally useless with todo lists but this does give me the best chance of keeping an eye on what I have to do and finding various lists quickly. Much better than Google tasks which is clumsy and hard to navigate. In particular I like the widgets, including the scrollable widget on my Nexus 7, which shows all my tasks in a "smart" priority order at a glance with a click through to the main app. |
[2013-01-24] A Google User: Difficult to unsubscribe Downloaded to check it out. Uninstalled. I kept getting emails from Astrid, and I kept trying to unsubscribe. It took 3 tries and a bad review to get unsubscribed (as far as I know...). The app didn't look bad - it just wasn't for me. The difficulty unsubscribing sealed the deal that I won't be trying this app again though. |
[2013-01-24] A Google User: Not so suitable for me... I really prefer LifeReminders :) |
[2013-01-24] A Google User: Great app! I honestly didn't realize how much I procrastinate til I was hitting snooze on 3 to do items at the same time for a week! Simple, yet complete. Notifications and being able to set due dates and priority make Astrid a life saver with getting sh*t done! |
[2013-01-24] A Google User: Not the stellar app everyone says This is a very confusing app that lacks straightforward, intuitive navigation and ideal categorization. Upon launch, the "My Tasks" Category is always the first thing you see, which contains ALL items from ALL lists. If there is a way to hide this horrendous conglomeration or attenuate it, it has not been indicated to me by now. Making a new list is equally frustrating showing no indicators of how to navigate, save, or delve deeper into the app features. It's almost as if the makers EXPECT you to know how t |
[2013-01-24] A Google User: Can't delete lists from the android app once created. How do you forget something like that? Totally retarded and a dealbreaker. Plus I already spent a lot of time and a little money for the extra widgets. Can I have my life back please? There evidently was a way to do this at one time but this functionality no longer exists. The web app can accomplish this but the android app still shows missing lists. Is this a way to hold people hostage until they subscribe? Does that restore the required functionality? I really liked it up to this point but will probably have to switch back to RTM as their stuff seems to actually work and will be worth the $20 a year to save the headaches. |
[2013-01-23] A Google User: Good functionality, but UI issues App has the functionality I am looking for especially syncing with my google tasks, but the interface is a often buggy, lags often, and the menus are note particularly intuitive. [edit] Uninstalled as the lag was too great and interface had too many glitches. This is a good beta, but it's not to be depended upon. |
[2013-01-23] A Google User: Htc Desire: Supernova This is the best alternative to htcs way of task lists, just what i needed :) |
[2013-01-23] A Google User: Excellent Does everything I need and it's free! |
[2013-01-21] A Google User: So annoying! They keep sending me emails about nothing in particular and even notifications on my phone about nothing, just saying "a nice day to get some work done don't you think?" It blinks my LED to tell me that?! What a waste of my time! If you want a real app for working, try DGT GTD. |
[2013-01-21] A Google User: I use it everyday. |
[2013-01-21] A Google User: Was good now buggy Problems with Google sync, uninstalling |
[2013-01-21] A Google User: Best task list, but not great This is probably the best and most feature rich task app out there, but it is horribly buggy and unintuitive. Constant corrupted database errors, laggy gui, and confusing layout keep this app from being great. Alerts and emails are extremely annoying and difficult to disable. This program keeps getting worse instead of better. |
[2013-01-21] A Google User: Astride Nice |
[2013-01-21] A Google User: Perfect I'd truly be lost without this app. It's updated with new features on a regular basis |
[2013-01-20] A Google User: Awful Ads. Stupid reminders. |
[2013-01-20] A Google User: Laggy, but not bad Lags badly when adding and re-ordering tasks. Integration with Google tasks weak. Force-closes when using Current Caller ID. |
[2013-01-19] A Google User: Worked great until latest update Crashes after 10 seconds of use. I have to force close every time. This did not occur before the latest update. |
[2013-01-19] A Google User: Gotta love Astrid! I used Astrid back in the G1 days. It was decent, nothing too special. Stopped using it for a few years though. Jump ahead to a few weeks ago: I read about how far Astrid has come: we now have an iOS app, web app (which is fantastic!), 1st-party cloud sync, developer API, and of course a beautiful android app that adheres to goog's android ui guidelines. I went all in: both add ons and a year of premium. Holy! We have come so far, the devs have been busy and it shows. This is one of the best apps on play. |
[2013-01-19] A Google User: Wonderful app! But Since new update, I have not been able to hide tasks. It just puts the word hidden by the tasks, but they don't dissappear. Would be great if this could be fixed as I use this feature alot to minimize task clutter. Other than this issue, the app keeps getting better! |
[2013-01-19] A Google User: Astrid Causes Call Dropping on GS3 After I installed Astrid, all of my calls started dropping on my Samsung Galaxy S3. After I removed the App, the calls stopped dropping. I love the app, but found it incompatible with Galaxy S3. NOT recommended for Galaxy S3 owners. |
[2013-01-19] A Google User: Buggy Astrid |
[2013-01-19] A Google User: Best reminder app!!!! Best best best |
[2013-01-19] A Google User: Real buggy Samsung note 2 closes by itself. Doesn't show a list of people that I already have in my people list so I can't collaborate like I want. |
[2013-01-18] A Google User: Great app Syncs with Google tasks and has a clean interface. |
[2013-01-18] A Google User: Please let me set list padding Love the app.. dumped wunderlist for you. only minor thing is that there's too much vertical padding in the list rows for my taste. You could add that as a preference next to font size. Also consider removing the dividing lines for a cleaner look. |
[2013-01-18] A Google User: Mostly good This app is a pretty good tool. It gives you the ability to add a lot of detail to tasks. The only downside is that the app is "needy." There are too many reminders that just pop up to update or say "there is still stuff on your list...come on...check something off..." Overall a helpful tool. |
[2013-01-18] A Google User: Use it to give me pep talks Astrid is my counselor and Morale booster! I load it with quotes and reminders set to remind randomly daily or weekly. It keeps my mindset in check and my priorities in balance! This has truly made a difference in difficult times. |
[2013-01-18] A Google User: Astrid Love this app |
[2013-01-18] A Google User: Great, reliable, super helpful must-have! Never forget to complete a task or even return a call again! Astrid is a wonderful app that syncs with Google calendar to offer task and event reminders in a very customizable and intelligent way. It can even help you to remember to return phone calls. You have many options when creating you're tasks such as due date, priority, attachments, notes, and more. Then you check it off when you're done and Astrid offers cute inspirational congratulations! Definitely a must-have for all Android users! |
[2013-01-18] A Google User: Clean simple ui Active bug fixes |
[2013-01-18] A Google User: Not reliable. Sync and notifications are not to be relied upon. Used to work better. |
[2013-01-18] A Google User: Great! A great tasks/to do list app. Love the ability to share lists with other users. |
[2013-01-18] A Google User: Excellent I'd like to see a calendar integrated into the app |
[2013-01-18] A Google User: spam'ed my coworkers tried using this for a while. a few times it popped up a meeting reminder and asked if i wanted to create an action item list. one time i finally thought, ok i'll try it. then it proceeded to ask to send invites. huh? i just want to make a list. FOR MYSELF. i entered ONLY MY NAME and the stupid app proceeds to send emails to a bunch of my co-workers, i guess which it got from the original outlook meeting invitation. unacceptable! my boss was asking me, what is astrid? uninstalled due to i don't want to lose my job. |
[2013-01-18] A Google User: Helpful! LOVE this app, personal lists are easier to complete, sharing lists with rommates for errands or reminders and designating lists to others when planning get togethers is so helpful! |
[2013-01-18] A Google User: Weird I tried creating tasks, and they would disappear a few seconds later. |
[2013-01-18] A Google User: Very helpful I enjoy this app because it's like a planner that reminds me to look at it. Very easy to use; doesn't always alert me of tasks though..faulty in some ways but still great to download |
[2013-01-18] A Google User: Awesome I use this to keep up with when my bills are due and people's birthdays. It works phenomenally! |
[2013-01-18] A Google User: Good tool. I am happy with this app. Does what I need. Premium is too expensive. I'd support at $10/ year but not $40. Update: The tasks doesn't clear easily on GN2, so have reduced rating from 4 to 2. Update2 this is now working again. 3 stars. |
[2013-01-18] A Google User: Great Syncs across all devices. Web platform is wonderful. I see the tasks come through on my gmail. I wish the tasks could be sorted by priority then date instead of one level sort. I use desktop and laptop running windows 8, acer a500 tablet, verizon xoom tablet, and galaxy s3 phone. |
