[2012-09-26] Jared: Great Astrid is useless without this Imo. A 4x1 widget would be nice though |
[2012-09-22] Lianne: Row height I love the transparent widget. But what determines row height? Can't get it to show more than 6 tasks. Enlarging the widget stretches up the rows instead of making more tasks visible. |
[2012-09-20] Korovyov: Much Improved Astrid and this pack have continued to evolve. Great stuff. |
[2012-09-20] Christopher: Love this app. Bought the power pack to get the widget. Handy. |
[2012-09-18] Nissa: power pack is a little glitchy I love Astrid, and bought this partly to help support/thank the developer. I really like the larger widgets and being able to check things off right there, instead of opening Astrid to do it. (I like the widget appearance, as opposed to some reviewers). Unfortunately, after I check things off, the widget shows the wrong tasks checked off. Weirdly, it seems to be only a display issue, as when i open the app, only the correct tasks are checked off. The widget also seems to have slowed down the app some. |
[2012-09-16] Shaun: Waste of money Fail yo see the value of the power pack. |
[2012-09-14] chikosan: simple and work |
[2012-09-13] Michael: Buggy Sorry, but wasted money and intermittent functionality at best, no syncing with Google calendar, Sucks... |
[2012-09-12] Tristan: Updated! Fixed the spazzing and updated the UI! Great! |
[2012-09-10] Melissa: well worth the money I really liked the Astrid App and wanted to kick some money their way as well as get the updated features. Adding the premium allows you to customize your widget. You can choose which lists you want listed and could even theoretically have a couple widgets with different lists. It was nice to be able to separate out the lists right on the screen instead of having to click into them to see what I needed to do each day. You could say it kept the tasks right in my face so I couldn't forget to check to see what I needed to do. The color of the widget is also customizable if you are into that sort of thing. |
[2012-09-09] Kelly: Widgets don't work well for me Very good task manager. Not as intuitive as I was expecting so needed a little bit of time dedicating to learning. Was excited about widgets but they are too problematic to be useful - hence an average score. On Galaxy S3 the list keeps duplicating. Refreshing app fixes for a short while but widget won't link back to app after running for a while. |
[2012-09-08] Adam: Just awful Didn't want to be mean, but emailed developers to explain why their app is dreadful, and no response. This Power Pack has less power than a broken moped. |
[2012-09-06] rdc: Keeps crashing Constant crashes on ICS - not worth the time it takes to download... |
[2012-09-03] the 9/4/2012 : Problems with the widgets List gets visually compressed so that tasks are overlapping and unreadable. Bummer. |
[2012-08-31] Per: Disappointed Bought the power pack mainly for the widgets. But I was disappointed to see they are generally not working well. They flicker and act sluggish. Updated graphics is needed. I don't use voice input so I have nothing to say about that. If I buy an addition as expensive as this I expect better! |
[2012-08-31] Linus86: Keep up the good work guys Purchase this app because the main app is awesome. Also welcome the added functionality of this widget. Now i can view all my task on the main screen. |
[2012-08-31] Oliver: Update the Widgets The widgets need to be updated. |
[2012-08-28] trinathon: The Best to-do list The power pack doesn't add a ton of features, but I just wanted to support the devs of such an awesome product. Thank you so much! |
[2012-08-27] Matt: Difficult to use, not worth it. Very difficult to use. If you set items to be "hidden" until a certain time, there doesn't seem to be any way to access them if they have to be edited. Interface is unfriendly and confusing. A to-do list doesn't need this level of complexity. I'm chalking up the lost $4 to lessons learned, and am uninstalling. |
[2012-08-26] Kimberly: Love it but... I've been using this add-on for ages, and I love the flexibility it gives me. Lately the widgets have been acting strange, so I hope it's fixed soon. Task row heights on the widget are not consistent - sometimes really narrow, sometime super-wide. Resetting the widget fixes it temporarily, but not long. |
[2012-08-24] Pete: Widgets not working on SIII The widgets are not displaying tasks correctly, they are showing multiple lines of the same task and the formatting is all messed up. It will fix itself once I add a new task but shortly after revert back to being screwed up. I'm glad I paid 4 bucks for this. Might be switching to Trello soon. |
[2012-08-23] Y-lee: Use this all the time! This is by far the best task to do list. I use it all the time. I could do without the pink monster, but every time I try something new it let's me down. This is a very good addition to a great free app. |
[2012-08-21] lztwin: Dont work A lot of problem. Dont work theme selected. Resize widget automatic. |
[2012-08-21] Brad: Cannot add filters to widget |
[2012-08-20] Daniel: Time for an update The widgets look awful on my tablet, it's the only thing spoiling the whole app! |
[2012-08-17] isecore: Totally worth it for me I bought this to support the developers. I don't really use the features, but I like Astrid and use it for reminders all the time. |
[2012-08-17] arn: very good (probably the best) Now, since latest update, I just can even get rid of the (admittedly cute) encouragement messages and have more screen for actual notes in the 4x4 widget. |
[2012-08-15] Suneer: OK, but poor UI and no scroll withing widget Widgets are all a little rough looking and are still not scrollable. This is a major annoyance. Otherwise a great app. |
[2012-08-15] Tony: Cool |
[2012-08-12] Rob: Awesome App Awful Widges I love Astrid! But these widgets are abysmal. They don't resize, they aren't very responsive, and they don't work at all on my tablet. I don't really mind paying for the app since I've used Astrid forever but don't expect quality if you drop money on this. |
[2012-08-11] bookwormat: boring premium package for a very exciting app. widgets are ugly and not resizable. there are few cases where voice is reliable. It's a good way to support the astrid devs for a great todo app. But it is not a very useful package. |
[2012-08-10] Adam: Widget isn't sorted the same The widget lists are not sorted the same as the list in the main app. This is very frustrating. |
[2012-08-05] David: Widgets are inconsistent! Why? Like this so much I bought the premium pack. Was disappointed that I could not make the premium widget transparent as the free one. |
[2012-08-02] Karan: Getting worse Overall, it's ok, and mostly does what I need it to do. However, I have given it 3 stars because, the power pack is very glitchy, and 70% of the when I tap the widget, it does not start up... A little annoying, because I rely on this app quite a lot, and now it's started to not display tasks on the widget, when they are due, it's become a bit pointless me paying for this app, the free version was better! And it seems to be getting worse the longer I've had it. |
[2012-08-01] Laura: Ok for a list app If i could colour code my lists and tasks that would be much more useful. |
[2012-07-29] Sims: Good add on This is a good add on, so far have had no issues. Would like to have more widget sizes (such as 3x3) or be able to resize them myself, but apart from that, great work! |
[2012-07-28] Lester: Fantastic App, bought this to show support The main Astrid app is great, I bought this extension to show support to the devs. The home screen widgets are working perfectly on my HTC One X. Great work |
[2012-07-26] Michelle: LOVE THIS APP! This app is the best task/to-do program I've ever used--by far. It is so incredibly user friendly and covers all aspects of any task you list, from deadlines & reminders to filters and assignment of responsibilty. Runs seamlessly on my EVO 4g.Love it, love it, love it!! |
[2012-07-25] Pets: Bigger widgets would be great... Upgraded to support the great job done with free version. Keep up the great work. |
[2012-07-24] Adam: Old Widgets These widgets are old and feel outdated. Upgrade them so that they scroll up and down. |
[2012-07-23] Erik: Wastes a lot of space This widget wastes at least 40 percent of its space. It just displayed blank space in the lower half, but I have 3 pages to scroll through. Not convenient. And not enough customization. Gtask for example is way better regarding it's widget. On top themes are not working. Uninstall. |
[2012-07-21] thumble-spuzz: Worthless The features sound great, but it slows down the app to the point that it can't be used at all, even the free features. Droid X. |
[2012-07-20] Laura: A Bit Disappointing I'm pretty upset I paid for this power pack. I was under the impression you could create sublists/tasks, but I haven't quite figured out how. Also, it would be nice to be able to select multiple lists to display on the widget. Maybe if those two things are fixed/added I'll go back. For new, I'll stick to evernote. |
[2012-07-19] Bradley: Great Downloading now to see the widgets. Happy to pay regardless. Free app is more than worth it already. |
[2012-07-18] Wes: Almost good I just bought a Nexus 7, I would freaking love a 6x6 widget! Until then, 3 stars. |
[2012-07-17] ldd: a means to support Astrid Inc, but little else Summary: In and of itself this pack is not worth its price. It is worth buying only as a means to support Astrid Inc. Details: In some respects this pack is actually a *step backwards* relative to the functionality that already comes with Astrid. At least from Gingerbread onwards, using voice recognition to fill in fields is already available on all data fields. So I could use voice to record tasks in Astrid even without this power pack. I knew the power pack would add nothing in this respect but it does *remove* something. The default Android voice input gives lists about 5 candidates of what it thinks you said. So you have the opportunity to correct its guess. With this powerpack Astrid now takes voice input without displaying a list of candidates. It takes its best guess and if that's not good enough, erase your field and try again. The widgets are nice but do not make up for this significant loss of functionality. |
[2012-07-15] jonathan: Great app Thanks |
[2012-07-14] Mircetic: I love Astrid Have stayed with it since its inception and only love it more. Glad to support. |
[2012-07-14] Jason: Great widgets These widgets ate worth the price. Makes the Astrid system even better. |
[2012-07-13] Sunil: perfect |
[2012-07-12] chloe: Buy it! Omg! Amazing! |
[2012-07-12] whiteyjason: Astrid Theme You can choose the theme for the Astrid task that comes for the free version of Astrid, but there are no themes for the widgets you get from this paid update? |
[2012-07-11] Chaz: Worse than the inbuilt widget I was running 4 of the inbuilt 2x2 widgets to show 4 lists. As far as I can remember the powerpack widgets display tasks from all lists. The new controls show fewer tasks per screen area (4 instead of 5 in a 2x2 area). A 4x4 widget still only shows a single column. This feels like a missed opportunity. |
[2012-07-11] Sean: Very handy With the widget on the home screen it makes it hard to procrastinate |
[2012-07-11] Kieron: Still the best option for me I don't really have use for this power pack, but I bought it to support the devs. Astrid continues to be the top choice of task manager for me, and the support team has responded promptly to my queries in the past. |
[2012-07-11] James: Not updated, poor for paid I was expecting better support and more frequent updates. I have had no reply from 3 support requests and the widgets offered by this app aren't in the modern android style (that even the standard free widget supports). |
[2012-07-10] Emiliano: Bought for Google task sync, useless Bought this because I wanted to reward the devs for a stellar gtasks app, sync with gtasks *still* totally broken no matter what the devs say. Impossible to create new gtasks, problem structurally ignored by devs. |
[2012-07-09] slack_justyb: Astird has best support Astrid the app is pretty much on par with other to-dos, however their support team is top notch. Keep up the great work everybody, here's bones your way! |
[2012-07-09] Kirill: Premium widgets crashes 2 times a day!!! I don't know why but widgets permanently disappears from my screen several times a day!! |
[2012-07-09] Jerry: Style Does Not Match The Free App This power pack needs a major update or at least flag it all together. The style doesn't match that of the free app, and why should I have to pay for new widget sizes when the free app's widget should be re-sizeable on ICS. |
[2012-07-03] Philip: Quite good Quite good, seems nothing can replace |
[2012-07-03] Ian: "Problem loading gadget" 2 stars because I'm happy to pay to support development, but like some others, I haven't been able to load any of the larger widgets provided in the Power Pack on my phone. I get a "Problem loading gadget" message on my phone screen. I've un- and re-installed both Astrid and the Power Pack, but it still doesn't work. HTC Magic running 2.1 |
[2012-07-03] Connor: Works well. The widget works as advertised. It requires more customization options such as removal of the title and bottom search bar. Text colour and formatting would also be a plus. |
[2012-07-02] Charles: Voice output nice, input terrible. You can add reminders via voice, but the "due tomorrow" stays in the title! |
[2012-07-02] Justin: Powerpack subpar The widgets remove the option to organize subtasks. It might be better improved to also allow widget scrolling and the ability to hide subtasks in both the widgets and the app |
[2012-07-01] Joshua D. Rinas: Nice, but... Expensive for these features. |
[2012-06-28] Mark: Best to-do app |
[2012-06-21] Steven: Wish I would have known I had 15 min for refund Waste of space and money. App is not bad although there should be some more options for customization but 3.99 for a useless widget? I prefer using the app shortcut. |
[2012-06-21] Andy: Improving |
[2012-06-21] the 6/24/2012 Great For those jaded to see it, when you add the widget, click the box that reads "Hide encouragements" like magic the squid goes away! Ohh Wow! Somebody's got a happy face! |
[2012-06-19] Brad: Okay widget. Doesn't stay refreshed like I'd like. Provides a good outlook of my tasks though. |
[2012-06-15] Mauricio: Works great I installed the power pack on an asus transformer and I have no complaints. The widgets are sleek and very useful. Purchasing this add on is money well spent if it can help the developers of this superb little app. |
[2012-06-13] dieseldon: DOES NOT WORK WITH BIONIC! If you have a Bionic, don't waste your money. The only additional feature is voice input for new tasks, and with the latest release, it doesn't work on Bionic. I will update further as a new release comes out. Then, it might get 3 stars. |
[2012-06-09] Gabriel: Love the app. Not the widgets These widgets need the same visual refresh that you gave the app. Even if they were like the default widget with different sizes and scrolling that would be awesome. Thanks |
[2012-06-07] Vickie: WIDGET NEED TO BE 5x5! The widget is WAYYY too small.. Astrid needs to make a bigger one like 5x5 |
[2012-06-07] Isaac: Please update to new layout Widget functionality is nice, but the layout really needs to be updated to the new, cleaner look of the standard widget |
[2012-06-05] GreatBigDog: Not very useful. I purchased the power pack to support the developer, glad I wasn't expecting too much because there isn't much here. Widgets are basic at best and when you open up Astrid by touching the widget, your sub tasks are not displayed correctly. Think I'll just stick with the widget included with Astrid. |
[2012-06-01] Jason: Not much here Feature development is very slow not just the power pack but with astrid in general |
[2012-05-21] Basuki: Good application |
[2012-05-19] Amanda: Da Best!! |
[2012-05-14] JimLewis: Should Have Voice Input Choice Correction List Works Well Enough With Astrid. But a option to correct or choose from a list of choices as to what it thought you said would help improve accuracy. |
[2012-05-14] the 5/14/2012 Buy to support developer The widgets themselves need a major facelift to new UI. |
[2012-05-14] Christopher: Not bad. Widget theme controls don't work. Otherwise good. |
[2012-05-09] Yoni: Second rate work Seems like this was a bit of an afterthought... Widgets are bigger but don't follow the app's style at all (widget themes don't work for power pack themes at all), even though the stock widget works fine in that regard... |
[2012-05-07] the 5/9/2012 Steep price, but worth it The widgets themselves are great! Now necessarily $4 great, but I dont mind helping out a great developer. |
[2012-04-25] Izzy: Not that powerful a powerpack Bought mostly to support the dev as the free app is great and I use it a lot. Would like to see a scrolling option for the premium widgets added |
[2012-04-24] Chuck: Power Packed Although the astrid app itself is 5 star all the way, the power pack lacks in... well, power. I'm hoping for more customization options in the near future. BUT, it works 100%, just a cosmetic issue really |
[2012-04-22] Bharadwaj: Awesome Awesome |
[2012-04-22] JoAnne M: I support Astrid development!! |
[2012-04-19] x0lani: Needs some work I felt compelled to buy this mostly because I've found the standard free app so incredibly useful. However, the Power Pack really needs some enhancements to make it worth paying for. The primary benefit to the power pack is the addition of larger widgets. However, the widgets don't have the ability to scroll up and down, instead relying on pressing forward/backwards buttons. Also, clicking on a task takes you to the whole task list, instead of the specific task which you clicked on. Improve the UI and add some additional premium features and I'll gladly change my review. |
[2012-04-15] Captain Packrat: Needs better widgets. The 4x2 widget wastes so much space. It only displays 3 tasks but has room for 5, instead it has huge black borders. I'd also like to see a 3x2 widget. |
[2012-04-15] Dasmin: Awesome |
[2012-04-04] Digenie: Quick, simple and fun I hear what people are saying about the Power Pack, but for me, for a whole £2.51, it works great for me. I find the full screen widget perfectly OK, but agree it could do with re-working, but as this is an ongoing development I'm sure there'll be more updates/options soon. Love the way it syncs with Google Tasks so I can keep things synced. Great work |
[2012-03-30] ewok: buggy... a app like a bad joke since last astrid update the whole thing badly bugs arround. crashes all the time. also the whole phone crashes once a day when i open astrid....... bad bad bad!!! |
[2012-03-28] John: Life helper This is best app I can find to help with organizing all the different things I have to do. |
[2012-03-25] Josh: More than frustrating for a paid app. voice recognition on par with apps from 2009. All useful apps have integrated a quick selection list after voice input of the top 10 best matches, raising accuracy to near 100%. Astrid is well behind the FREE competition in this area. |
[2011-05-30] g: Bought to encourage dev to fix astrid bugs... Only worth for largest widget. Expected more really. |
[2011-05-28] Daniel: thanks for fixing! |
[2011-05-28] Daniel: Getting betterwith updates |
[2011-05-28] Mike: 4x3 widget now updates. Some tasks fail to load. Widget not scrollable in Launcher Pro. Not worth $5 as is. |
