Adblock Plus (v. 1.0.1) Разработано Adblock Plus |
Adblock Plus blocks all annoying ads on your Android device. NO ROOT REQUIRED!
It blocks all online advertising when browsing, and when using your favorite apps like Angry Birds. It is 100% free and makes your Android device much more enjoyable.
Adblock Plus blocks: mobile ads, video advertising, banners, push notifications, display advertising, HTML5 advertising, and much more.
PLEASE NOTE: Adblock Plus might have limited functionality, depending on the Android version on your device and whether your device has been rooted:
Rooted: Blocks ads over Wi-Fi and 3G
Non-rooted with Android 3.1 or later: Blocks ads over Wi-Fi
Non-rooted with Android 3.0 or earlier: Some manual configuration is required. Please visit our website to learn how to setup your own proxy: https://adblockplus.org/en/android-config#proxy
Also, Android does not allow ads to be blocked on SSL encrypted websites.
Annoyed by the icon? Please read this: https://adblockplus.org/en/android-faq#icon
Adblock Plus is an open-source, community driven project. Many volunteers are contributing to the development and maintenance of Adblock Plus. Currently, there are over forty continuously updating filter lists in over a dozen different languages, ensuring that all obtrusive ads remain blocked.
Please note that Adblock Plus will probably become the highest data-using application on your Android device. However, this is only because Adblock Plus needs to filter the data to ensure that the ads can be blocked. Adblock Plus is actually only using a fraction of the data shown on your device.
Adblock Plus is also available for Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Opera.
[2013-01-10] A Google User: It's great.... |
[2013-01-10] A Google User: It takes too much memory for the service 69MB is a way to much for such application. I rader see ads then having my phone crash with memory issues |
[2013-01-10] A Google User: Often crashes, interrupts data connectivity This would have been a great app to add to my arsenal, if it weren't for the fact that it crashed often and would interrupt/stop data connectivity from occurring. I could load maybe one website page when it starts but then all Internet data stops responding, even in other applications such as the Play store. I uninstalled ABP and everything returned to normal. |
[2013-01-09] A Google User: ABP Much better than any others I have tried, does exactly what I want |
[2013-01-09] A Google User: It just work Ik ben de ontwikkelaars van Adblock plus zo dankbaar! Al jaren gebruik ik de plugin binnen firefox en chrome op mijn browser. Nu ik een tablet heb zie ik pas hoeveel reclame op 't net staat. Gelukkig gaat Adblock plus gewoon met mij mee. |
[2013-01-09] A Google User: Useful but memory intensive It's great to be able to block ads on wifi even when you're not rooted, but this app is a memory hog. It uses 60-70 MB while enabled. |
[2013-01-09] A Google User: Nice Works great |
[2013-01-09] A Google User: WORK NICE |
[2013-01-09] A Google User: Trash Doesnt do what it says. Burns battery life. Waste of space and time |
[2013-01-08] A Google User: Memory leak It ran great for 2 days but the memory leak is horrible the program ended up taking 80+ Megs of memory...... uninstalled it went to adaway it works great |
[2013-01-08] A Google User: Crap |
[2013-01-08] A Google User: Crashing and connection disruption I was very excited to see this on android after using the browser version. It worked well initially, however, after a few weeks it started crashing. When it crashed my internet connection would be disrupted. I am running this on a rooted device and I believe the issue is with the transparent proxy adblock implements. I'm patiently awaiting an update to address this issue, but for now it's back to using the hosts file. |
[2013-01-08] A Google User: Makes other apps sloooow Conflicts with growlr, and scruff. Makes other apps run like a mofo turtle on jelly bean. |
[2013-01-08] A Google User: Doesn't block ads... But it does completely block access to any website except Google. CM10.1 Galaxy Nexus. |
[2013-01-08] A Google User: A semi-solid start On first install, Dolphin crashed until I rebooted. No problem afterwards. Ads inside apps don't disappear, but they're kind of toned down. The biggest drawback is it's easy for the process to get stopped, and then you can't browse anything. But I will say that when it works, it works great. (update) Shutting it off; it aborts itself too often. I'll try again when it's more developed. |
[2013-01-08] A Google User: Thought my phone was broken When this program was running I had no Internet connection except thru wifi. I hadn't really noticed it until I took a road trip over the holidays. It took me about three weeks to figure out the problem. Now that adblock is not running I again have Internet access. In all fairness it might not have been set up correctly because it never really worked. |
[2013-01-08] A Google User: Useful Good tool |
[2013-01-08] A Google User: Very useful! I have used ad block plus on other plarforms and frankly cannot use the web without it. Now that I have moved to Android, I am really happy that I can take advantage of it. I know it may hurt app economy for developers however I rarely click on ads so at least for me, it does not have that drawback. Thank you very much for the great work. The only feature that I really like to see is being able to add custom filters, like ones l have developed over years for myself. |
[2013-01-08] A Google User: Works well Have been using this for years on the PC. Glad to see it now for my droid. Nothing worse than those annoying ads. Thank you to the developers. Without people like you we would be constantly harassed by parasitic companies. Also stops bandwidth theft which is what ads. Basically are. |
[2013-01-07] A Google User: Does what it says App does what it says and works pretty well but what I've noticed is while using the app I get network errors while using apps like youtube. If you just keep refreshing they go away though. |
[2013-01-07] A Google User: Great app Thank you. |
[2013-01-07] A Google User: Hmm... Not work? |
[2013-01-07] A Google User: Doesn't work all of the time Some ads don't disappear in applications... Leaving the app useless |
[2013-01-07] A Google User: Cool Awsome app |
[2013-01-07] A Google User: Good app but Good app but poor results for my area - get Some up to date info for Canada guys! Uninstalled. Oh well. |
[2013-01-06] A Google User: How to remove notification If you have a jelly bean device, tap and hold on the notification, tap app info and then uncheck the show notifications option. |
[2013-01-06] A Google User: Nope! Doesnt work for me at all. Its just taking up space. Uninstalling.. |
[2013-01-06] A Google User: Great!...so long as it doesn't crash I love adblock plus on my pc, and wouldn't browse without it. However, it started crashing on my Nexus 4, resulting in pages not loading properly. Additionally, upon uninstalling, a complete reboot was required in order to use internet again. While I'll sadly have to see ads until I find something worth rooting for, at least I'll be able to browse the web. |
[2013-01-06] A Google User: Waiting some evolutions From time to time it "conflicts" with some google sites(maps, translate, gmail) |
[2013-01-06] A Google User: Really works on WiFi. Leaves blank space on screen but no ads. Took a few iterations of block list updates before it became really effective. Now blocks ads in all my apps Can't comment on performance in rooted devices. |
[2013-01-06] A Google User: Weak and annoying Weak because we can not add custom block rules. Annoying because it blocks your web access opmletly and you have to figure out how to enable it back : reboot ! |
[2013-01-06] A Google User: Works amazing The best app on the play store. |
[2013-01-06] A Google User: Often crashes, rendering phone unusable On a rooted Nexus 4, with over 1GB of free RAM, the app often crashes for a fraction of a second before restarting. However, it takes the phone up to 30 seconds before it is ready to use again, during which no data apps work. If you're rooted, this is not the app for you - go with Adfree which works, works well, and doesn't ruin your browsing experience with routine crashes. I'm also baffled by the icon requirement - other than to inform the user of the inevitable crash and unusability of the phone. |
[2013-01-06] A Google User: Hit and miss Works most of the time but has recently started complaining about the proxy server even though I'm on Android 4.1.2 |
[2013-01-06] A Google User: Good Great nice tools |
[2013-01-06] A Google User: Chews through my data plan I have a 2 gig data plan and turned off wifi overnight. This app used 1.9 gb of data overnight! I'm going to disable this app til it gets fixed. EDIT I got hit with $13 in overage charges for ONE NIGHT (i.e. 8 hrs) because of this app. Beware folks if you don't have an unlimited data plan. |
[2013-01-06] A Google User: Some random crashes. App closes randomly causing proxy errors on ICS 4.0.3. When it stays open, it works great. |
[2013-01-05] A Google User: Doesn't work on Nexus S Doesn't block anything as far as I can see. |
[2013-01-05] A Google User: Removes ads BUT. It hogs data like anything. 3GB data used in three weeks :| |
[2013-01-05] A Google User: Slows my tablet down ! I was still bombarded by ads, and it consumed copious amounts of memory, significantly affecting the performance. Not impressed at all. |
[2013-01-05] A Google User: Needs work This app needs the ability to use multiple filter subscriptions. More importantly, my phone is telling me that it used 2.2 GB of background data, though... I didn't even stream that much on Netflix, so this is unacceptable. |
[2013-01-05] A Google User: WiFi issues Was doing the job fine just like the PC version however I often found my WiFi being slow to pick up and was often presented with a "network error" or "couldn't detect WiFi" message. Uninstalled for now. Might try it again in future. |
[2013-01-05] A Google User: Rubbish Doesn't block any ads! Waste of time. |
[2013-01-05] A Google User: Uninstalled Didn't work for my other apps ads were unchanged |
[2013-01-04] A Google User: Works but Is too aggressive. App keeps blocking non ad content. it sometimes even goes as far as to block Google play. |
[2013-01-04] A Google User: No Full of issues |
[2013-01-04] A Google User: Doesn't work on HTC One S Doesn't work on HTC One S, ads are still shown. |
[2013-01-04] A Google User: Uses 60 mb of ram Runs on 60 mb of ram... I wants say that show some mercy on my littlede device.. |
[2013-01-03] A Google User: Ghj |
[2013-01-03] A Google User: really good a really good application to stop all those non-sense ads! |
[2013-01-03] A Google User: Amazing how well this extension doesn't work. |
[2013-01-03] A Google User: Very good This app works great, but can be too aggressive sometimes like with websites being blocked. But this app really gets rid of the annoying ads. |
[2013-01-03] A Google User: Not nearly as useful as its desktop counterpart Also a massive background data hog. |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: Works well but... Crashes constantly and disables all connections until it restarts. Otherwise does exactly as advertised. |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: Works, but at a cost App does block ads, but also causes my data connections to flake out on a regular basis, requiring a restart of my devices. |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: Needs fixes The memory usage is a bit high: this consumes around 80 MB on my S3. |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: YouTube Makes youtube videos very laggy and some pages doesn't show. takes alot of RAM |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: Does what it says Finally an app that works. It actually deserves 5 stars :) |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: Greatest App No root required.AWESOME. |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: Exactly what I wanted!! I play lots of games on my S3 and it flipping annoys me when those gosh darn popup adverts come into the corner of the screen or you just accidently click the ad when it pops up!! and then your game closes or stalls when you clicked the ad!! FFFFUUUU!!!!- So happy i installed adblock+ ^_^ no more ads!! thanks guys this is exactly what i should have gotten from the beginning!! |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: Poor Only works on wifi, huge, disgraceful status bar icon, which cannot be disabled. I was looking for the chrome extension, but this is really crap... |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: Kills data connection Constantly causes wifi data drops on the Nexus 10. Uninstalled and have not seen the problem since. |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: Spot on Brilliant all ads gone |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: Galaxy note It was messing with my pic messages if your having trouble with message you have to disable it |
[2013-01-01] A Google User: Great The best addon now comes to android.......the only problem I have encountered is that it runs in the background killing all ads but used way to much memory. |
[2013-01-01] A Google User: Bit useless for most if us ie pre android 3 & or non rooted |
[2013-01-01] A Google User: Exit out .. possible? Okay, I know Developer did the best in un-rooted phone which is good job. I know there is a big gap to show when hiding the icon as well. I don't mind the icon; however, I will use it only when I use some apps may show ads. For example, watching live TV shows. I can just turn it on. However, I can't exit out the app!! Can developer make an Exit code so I can exit out all together instead of leaving in the memory!? I know this app requires some memory to run. But unchecking filter is not really exiting out the app. I had to kill it by other task killing app. If that can be updated, that may be possible a 5 stars. By the way, care to explain those lists.. We have no idea what they are! |
[2013-01-01] A Google User: Tapatalk Can't access tapatalk app content when using ABP. Plz fix it |
[2013-01-01] A Google User: NOT WorK samsung note 2 not work |
[2013-01-01] A Google User: "Battery Minus" After installing this app my battery began draining out 2 to 3 times a day and my phone began acting erratically. Until this problem is addressed I would steer clear of it. |
[2013-01-01] A Google User: High expectations... Bad app. Save yourself some time and just install AdFree. I downloaded ABP as soon as it was available, even though I already had an ad blocking app that was working great, because of my experience with the desktop add-on. As soon as I installed ABP, I started getting intermittent disconnections from both cell and wireless networks. I put up with it thinking it would be updated and fixed. It was not. Un-installed. Rooted Samsung Galaxy Nexus. CM10. |
[2013-01-01] A Google User: Wont work Proxy and port set but no blocking |
[2013-01-01] A Google User: Doesn't work It doesn't block any of my apps, uninstalling. |
[2013-01-01] A Google User: Crashes too often... making the internet intermittent. Hopefully an update will keep the app running much longer. |
[2013-01-01] A Google User: Good but. The application works well but has flaws. Causes Google Chrome to display a can't connect to proxy error. You can't select more then one list at a time. Ads can slip thru the block. |
[2012-12-31] A Google User: Do not install with root. Will permanently damage If the app misbehaves with root (Which it will), you cannot uninstall it - It permanently changes setting and prevents connection to the internet when uninstalled. I also found that I could not reboot my phone successfully after the uninstall - It crashes immediately. this app should be removed from the market. |
[2012-12-31] A Google User: Battery killer Works but kills battery with background processes. 12% avg battery life lost. |
[2012-12-31] A Google User: Fajar ***** |
[2012-12-31] A Google User: Not working Doesn't block any ads on my n4 running 4.2.1. |
[2012-12-31] A Google User: Working perfectly now No issues yet. Working just fine. It's living up to its reputation. Great job. But I have a small suggestion here. Add an option for auto on and off when WiFi is turned on/off. Because it will be great if ad block is only enabled when there's internet connectivity so the notification won't show up unnecessarily. Update - suddenly crash too often |
[2012-12-31] A Google User: Great Great app. Must have for android! |
[2012-12-31] A Google User: Works good but... It interferes with my wifi connection. I have to turn off my wifi and then turn it back on, this works for a little while then I have to do it again. This one problem makes it unusable. |
[2012-12-31] A Google User: Only one subscription!?! Need suport for many subscriptions at once!!! |
[2012-12-31] A Google User: Has improved my overall android experience a 100 fold! Does exactly what it say it does! No more ads when browsing and any android user will tell you about the gayness of trying to avoid clicking ads when browsing with their phone. If you dont have this app I highly suggest you get it! |
[2012-12-31] A Google User: Could you please add the ability to disable for certain sites? |
[2012-12-30] A Google User: Poor Very bad application made my gs3 have connection issues on all apps as soon as I disabled adblock everything was back to normal |
[2012-12-30] A Google User: Great I get you need the permanent icon in the notification bar, and but can't I get to choose the color..... like black... :-) |
[2012-12-30] A Google User: Nope Not working on my galaxy tab. |
[2012-12-30] A Google User: Ben Drains battery like crazy! Also makes some game content fail to load. |
[2012-12-30] A Google User: Ehh So far does not block ads on letter by letter or wordfeud on Wi-Fi non rooted galaxy s3 |
[2012-12-30] A Google User: Removes ads! Saves data What more can I say? Ads are hidden from apps and from web browsing, saving you a little bit of data every month. Only things keeping it from being a 5-star app are YouTube ads and the ability to white-list certain websites. |
[2012-12-29] A Google User: Good It was working good on initial release but after updating, it is not working. It consumes high amount of ram, please do something for it.. |
[2012-12-29] A Google User: Needs work Rooted gnexus on cm10 YouTube app still shows ads. Thanks for the effort, I'll reinstall when it works. |
[2012-12-29] A Google User: Droid razor maxx Works fine with my device. |
[2012-12-29] A Google User: Buggy... But really promising. I really love the idea, but I can't use this app on a daily basis because of the bugs! Sometimes, YouTube videos won't load. Also, most of the webcomics I follow are blocked so I can't see their strips. I'll keep it and try it again whenever it gets updated (: |
[2012-12-29] A Google User: Just average, need improvements It did block the ads but meanwhile it made my internet slooooooooooooow |
[2012-12-29] A Google User: Good app This is brilliant on my netbook so I have just got to have it on my tablet :-) |
[2012-12-29] A Google User: Works but blocks S Voice This app works, sort of. Initially it took some time to recognize ads, especially on YouTube. Eventually it did a pretty good job blocking majority of the ads I was encountering. Unfortunately I finally realized that it was blocking the use of S Voice, on my S3. I would get "network errors" constantly. Once I disabled AdBlock the S Voice worked fine. If not using S Voice isn't major.... the app does what it'supposed to. |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Works well, persistent notification is irritating I wish the persistent notification would go away... This could be resolved by using a remote rather than local server as the proxy or by simply using a hosts file hack in the event of successful root. Aside from that though, it's good. Hence, 4 stars. |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Great when it works, which is almost never App refuses to stay active even when notifications are enabled. I can literally activate filtering and have the app shut off in the time it takes me to load Chrome. |
