The free version of ActionComplete (this application) will be converted to a fully functional time-limited trial version on or soon after September 30, 2011.

For fully functional non-expiring version please check ActionComplete Pro (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.actioncomplete.android.pro).

ActionComplete is a family of productivity applications based on David Allen's Getting Things Done (GTD) methodology.

At the core of ActionComplete is management of four types of tasks: Actions (next actions in GTD parlance), Waits (Waiting for), Projects, and Ideas (Someday/Maybe).

The tasks can be assigned three types of metadata: tags, people, and places. Together the metadata form a context that can be easily filtered upon.

People are Google Contacts and the contact record linked to a task can be readily accessed right from ActionComplete.

Places in ActionComplete allow you to attach location context to the tasks. Vicinity view shows the tasks that can be done nearby and suggests geographical features with names similar to ActionComplete place names. E.g. if there are tasks linked to places "WalMart" and "Starbucks" the Vicinity view will show you all nearby WalMarts and Starbucks. From there you can view the Google map of a particular location and use a wide array of functions provided by Google Maps such as GPS-based navigation and user reviews.

Convenience features of ActionComplete Pro include assorted shortcuts, Due Today live folder, and integration with the system-wide search.

ActionComplete can be used on its own or seamlessly synchronize with ActionComplete Pro for Web (http://actioncomplete.appspot.com) or ActionComplete for Web (https://actioncomplete-pro.appspot.com, to be retired on September 30, 2011).

If you have an issue you are encouraged to do a quick search in AC Google group (groups.google.com/group/actioncomplete) before shooting an email to support. Do email support if the issue is not addressed in the group.

[2011-06-04] Steven:
Don't bother with the free app, just go to pro to start with. There's no way to export stuff you put in the free app into the pro version.
[2011-05-31] Jeff:
Tried to use it on 2 different android devices, Samsung galaxy s and Acer iconiatab. Sync failed on both of them. I never could get it to work.
[2011-05-23] Lendrik:
Great. Desire 2.2
[2011-05-11] Shantanu:
Cannot display task by due date, e.g., today, tomorrow, etc.
[2011-04-09] ocube:
Nice app, tedious user interface
[2011-04-05] Claire:
Disappointed the free versions are being discontinued.
[2011-03-28] Roland:
Can't sort by context.
[2011-03-15] Mike:
Excellent app for organizing the endless To-Do list in the IT Industry
[2011-03-11] WanderMan:
Sophisticated & complex app, for GTD user. If you never read" Getting Things Done" by David Allen, you may not fully understand this ap. Very good!
[2011-03-11] Chris Ridgeway:
like it so far (and clearly not malware) (note: one comment calls this malware, which doesn't seem to be true... I've installed and used... this app has a whole online community, etc) Just getting things rolling, but the simple 4-column design is killer: the best I've seen for my brain to wrap around. Less than a week using this, so I'll get back. Downside: some operations--like looking at task details--on the Android app seem pretty slow to load (and I've got an HTC Evo)
