Automated Time Clock allows you to keep track of how long you spend at work, without having to remember to actually use the app.  It is the perfect timeclock for salaried users who don’t want to deal with the hassle of remembering to punch a clock, yet still want a close approximation of how many hours they spend at work.  Once the one-click setup is completed (done at your work location), the app uses your phone’s GPS to figure out when you are there.  It records this information as punches on a virtual time card, which can then be viewed at your convenience.

Note:  Due to the limitations of battery technology, it is impractical to allow the app to monitor your phone’s location in real time.  Doing so would drain your battery in a few hours.  Instead, there is a user adjustable timer that sets how often the device checks its location.  The default and fastest time offered is 5 minutes, which offers a good balance between accuracy and battery life.  In light of this compromise, the times recorded will not be exact, and thus, the calculated hours that your phone is at work will not agree with the hours your company pays you for.  Disclaimer:  This app is not intended to be used for the recording of billable hours.  

Instructions:
1.  At work, press the set work location button.
2.  Once your work is located, press start monitoring.
3.  The app will take care of the rest, but there are options and settings to play with if you choose.

FAQ

What about privacy?
The only location this app stores is your work location.  All the other data is just what would appear on a time card:  date, time, in/out.  Your movements are never recorded.
Also, if you look at the permissions, there is nothing there that would allow the app to contact the outside world so you know your data is staying on your phone.

Why is there not a free version?
Free usually means ads, and ads require the internet permission (see above).  In order to ensure privacy, the app cannot have the internet permission, so the app is ad free, but costs money.

What time card options are available?
Right now, only weekly and  bi-weekly are supported.
Bi-monthly and monthly are in beta testing and should be released in an update soon.

I hate apps that start at boot.  Can it be turned off?
First, the app does not run all of the time.  It only turns itself on at the pre-determined interval.  Once it figures out if you are at work or not, it turns itself off.  Second, there is an option in the menu to disable the app, and this will turn off the start at boot.  However, this completely disables the app and it will not do anything until it is re-enabled.

Memory Personal Archive can easily store what is kept and where it is made by dividing the entries into categories. A list allows instant viewing of entries, or with the search function, you can: Find What has been preserved by including only part of the name Enter the storage location by entering only part of the site.
