Why HDR
------------

Real life scenes often have a wide range of light intensity, which cannot be captured by a camera. In a photo of such a scene the bright areas look washed out and everything in shadows is pictured as a black spot with no details. The HDR technique allows you to capture details in bright and dark areas and have them merged in a single photo.

HDR photography is widely adopted by professional photographers. Wouldn't it be nice to have an HDR in mobile phones?

The problem is that HDR requires taking several differently exposed images in series, which must be precisely aligned and then fused. In order to be usable for real life scenes, the HDR feature should include moving object detection and hand shake compensation to avoid or minimize the ghosting in the final image. That requires a lot of computational resources and makes a challenge even for professional desktop HDR software.

Almalence has brought its expertise in professional HDR software to mobile phones. Our HDR fusion algorithms compensate hand shaking and detect moving objects in the scene, suppressing ghosting artifacts. At the same time, the algorithms are quick enough to provide comfortable processing time on mobile devices.

All you want is to take a picture and immediately deliver it to your friends on Facebook? Or Picasa?

This is your programa. Whenever you take a picture, the app will geotag it and upload to the services that you configured (if the service support geotags the picture will be put in the correct place in map).

There are several configurations for each service, as an album where the photo should be placed, if it should be private or visible to all, tags, and more.

So far, these services are supported:
- Dropbox
- Facebook
- Flickr
- Picasa

But more are coming!

IMPORTANT: this is NOT a client! It will not create accounts in the online services, and not will access your pictures in there. The only purpose is to upload the pictures without press or select anything.

This is the free version that has some settings locked.

This application has several camera / photography calculators useful to photographers. It has Angular Field of View (FoV), Dimensional Field of View (FoV), Parallax Error in Panoramas, and Mosaic Panorama calculators. These calculators help photographers not only in taking perfect measurement for a spectacular photograph, but it also helps them in determining and packing the right lenses and gears for a light photo-shooting trip. For instance, the Dimensional Field of View calculator helps you determine what lenses a photographer pack by doing some pre-calculation before starting the trip. Photographers (with help of Google Map or other map services) can estimate distance of the subject and its size from their shooting position, and realize how much field of view will be afforded with a selected lens. Smaller FoV will help them pack a wider lens instead of having to stitch pictures and sort through parallax error in the panoramic photos.
