If you ever run out of ideas, get stuck in creativity or simply need some guidance when photographing people, you can use Posing App as a "posing cheat sheet". Many pro photographers use such a technique when preparing for and during the photo shoot. During a photo shoot don’t hesitate to discuss with your subjects which pose is or isn’t working in any particular situation. It’s very productive and you will feel more confident in what you are doing.
Merged in the practical mobile app format, all of the included poses in Posing App come with easy to understand descriptions and expressive hand drawn illustrations. In contrast to using real photos as samples, illustrations are only body outlines, so it's very simple for a model to understand and recreate the pose. Illustrations aren't in any way restrictive either, the model can be creative and come up with different variants on her own. Initial pose works simply as guidance for something to start with.
A variety of posing categories are available in Posing App: Children, Couples, Portraits, Women, Men, Groups and Weddings. A total 244 poses are included offering a wide choice in any modeling scenario. As an additional purchase Glamour section is available including additional 56 carefully selected glamour poses for female models. While browsing the poses, use the "Add to favorites" feature for fast access during a photo shoot.
In addition, a collection of tips & tricks about people photography is compiled for easy reference. Topics include: "Basics of People Photography", "Face Expressions", "Head, Hand and Leg Positioning", "Accentuating Different Body Parts", "Composition and Equipment Advice for Photographers".

[2012-12-13] A Google User: Has potential Great cheat sheet. Too bad it doesn't really work. The poses are a great guide but you can't save favorites. Crashes everytime I try. Could be a little more useful if the thumbnails were viewable on my device. They look as if they are 1sq mm I have to click on them to view and my clicking is random because I don't know which pose I hit because the preview is far too small. I don't mind the Glamour shots being an extra $2 I knew about it through reading the reviews though, not from the app description. |

[2012-11-08] A Google User: Good But 2 Issues Fairly good app, but two issues: 1. no landscape (horizontal) image formating. 2. Once selecting a pose, you have to enlarge the image to get to a full screen view. As a photographer I don't want to be touching the phone so much to present a pose to my subject. It needs to be a "fast-select" that I can show the subject. And of course, I agree with others - shouldn't have to pay extra for the "glamour" poses. These are drawings, not photos - not even close to adult content. |

[2012-10-24] A Google User: Fix it! Come on man, fix the app! Im using the nexus 7 and like so many others the have complained, the text description that is accompanied with the pics are cut out, you cannot even resize the pic to display the text. Fix this asap please! |

I think its pretty pathetic that everyone is complaining about the extra fee for more poses. This person took the time to compile these poses. And then took more time to add more. As photographers YOU all should know that time is valuable. Kudos to the author for making more available, shame on everyone else for not valuing the time and effort to make this available. </rant> |
