Light Meter Tools - Trial/Free (v. 3.6.1) Разработано WBPhoto |
Email me if you have any issues regarding changing values, etc.
A complete Incident + Reflected Light Meter, measured to be as accurate as hand-held devices, packaged with other essential photography tools.
Light Meter Tool is is an application for photographers to measure reflected and ambient light using their Android cell phones, developed by a photographer with too much equipment to carry around. It uses two different methods to measure light: the light sensor and the phone’s camera. It will work on practically any Android phone!
Because of this dual feature, either one or the other should work on almost every phone on the market. On the first launch, it tests both methods and lets the user know which methods are available on their particular phone.
The app was developed for all camera types, and includes iso, f-stop, and shutter settings for anything from pinhole to video camera use. The app, however, is (D)SLR-centric, with most of the features focused on that market. Developed with the user in mind, the app was completely rewritten for speed and accessibility and can be used in both portrait and landscape modes.
In addition to the two meters, the app includes a Sunny Sixteen calculator, a Depth of Field calculator, and an EXIF Reader with more tools in the works.
A big thanks to Double-J Design for the beautiful icons.

[2013-06-23] A Google User: Love this app! Some have said it was confusing but I found it to be the simplest app! This was one of 4 apps I tried, I will be purchasing this for my husbands phone and mine. |
[2013-06-22] A Google User: perfect just downloaded and compared to my canon g11. used in landscape orientation the frame is square. allowing for the differences in frame shape and zoom, the agreement was perfect. |
[2013-06-06] A Google User: Looked interesting but... ... despite feedback from the developer on the many defects with this app, I have lost confidence in it. Uninstalled. |
[2013-06-05] A Google User: Good but.... I made an in application purchase of the full version and later on i accidentally uninstalled it but now it doesn't appear in the market as if i bought the full version....i have to pay for it...please advise |

[2013-05-16] A Google User: Sensor metering works, camera metering doesn't The sensor metering works well, but the camera metering isn't supported on my RAZR hd. Hope the next update will fix this. Will definitely buy the app if fixed! |
[2013-05-14] A Google User: Difficult n confusing Really difficult to use, adjust menu will always show -+9/5 range , even for ISO and shutter , not clear what it means |
[2013-05-12] A Google User: Having problems using the app I'm having some problems with using this app. It looks like just what I am looking for, if it works with my phone, but I am not sure I am using it correctly. Are there instructions anywhere I can read? It says the camera meter function will not work with my phone, a Huawei M920. The sensor meter consistently meters an EV15 scene (bright sunny with visible shadows) as EV11. Am I using this correctly and is there a way to adjust for this? |
[2013-05-10] A Google User: Widget Should have a widget to go directly to the specific metering we want to use instead of opeNing the app first then choose, otherwise quite accurate. |
[2013-05-04] A Google User: Dhlee Doesnt work at Htc sens at all. The msgs says device not work properly. Fix it! Thanks. |
[2013-04-25] A Google User: Reflected accurate but sunny 16 is wrong Reflected readings show good to within 1/3 stop on my Nexus 4 but the Sunny 16 is broken: it confuses the t=1/ISO@f/16 (EV14.7) rule for sunny-bright with EV16. You'll get 1.3 stops underexposure by following this app. |
[2013-03-29] A Google User: Not compatible Costs about as much as a roll of 35mm c41. Too bad it works on neither my pantech burst nor my pan tech pocket. Pity -- lost sale! |
[2013-03-28] A Google User: Great app Very useful. |
[2013-02-28] A Google User: Crash Wanted this to work. But unfortunately it kept stating that the camera was already in use even after clearing ram and closing apps. Disappointed. |
[2013-01-20] A Google User: Who Ha Works great |
[2013-01-18] A Google User: Best meter Cool thanks for this! I will buy:) HTC One x + |

[2013-01-06] A Google User: Crashed SGS1/2.3.6: Crashed Phone?? Only nice as Exif viewer. Uninstalled. |
[2012-12-19] A Google User: Little satisfaction from this App. Has not worked well since i got it. Crashes lots, even after many updates. :-( |
[2012-12-16] A Google User: Bad app. It actually told me that it was defective and to return it. |
[2012-12-03] A Google User: An excellent light meter To an extent, it replaces the need for a lightmeter, even if a spot option might be beneficial. I'd love if there were sliders for iso, shutter and aperture so to tweak slightly from the meter interface, without opening the full list of values. It would save a few seconds when you need to take the image fast. |
[2012-11-22] A Google User: Bad.. Bad.. |
[2012-11-05] A Google User: Bad app Sucked |
[2012-10-26] A Google User: Not consistent from light to light when compared with a real dome meter. Accurate in some cases and off by two stops in others. Could be I don't know how to use a phone type meter well |
[2012-10-19] A Google User: Very Slow This app runs so slow that it takes 5 mins to load. Not worth it. |
[2012-10-11] A Google User: Excellent meter software |
[2012-10-08] A Google User: Doesn't work. Freezes. No good. |

[2012-09-22] A Google User: Love it! |
[2012-09-22] A Google User: Easy to use Works well and very simple to use. |
[2012-09-17] A Google User: Not that good Samsung Galaxy S2 user here.. I'll throw in a few cents and say just buy a real light meter.. This application features two modes: a camera meter (which is worse than evaluative mode on a DSLR), and a sensor meter (which is very bad, and horribly underexposes light). Sensor meters on phones aren't designed to measure light with 99% accuracy.. It's a mere guesstimate as to whether it has direct sunlight shining into it or if it's pitch black. Roughly, it's about 65% accurate. Likewise, the Exiff data the camera meter pulls are all estimations made by the camera, which is A: not that good, B: just an average of the scene, not an actual measurement of light. Want to be a pro? Get a real light meter. This is a joke. I'm giving it two stars because it actually works and does something (albeit not so well).. |
[2012-09-17] A Google User: Amazingly done app Galaxy s2. Runs perfect and has the camera and sensor mode plus the charts. |
[2012-09-12] A Google User: Great app Best light metering app out there. |
[2012-09-09] A Google User: Wow. as accurate as my Sekonic L-358 |
[2012-08-27] A Google User: Ok It is ok but way too expensive make that .99 and more people going to buy so you going to make more money. I can aforde it but wont allow the trend with exp apps. |
[2012-08-12] A Google User: Light Application like this iS little use |
[2012-08-11] A Google User: Problems The "Light Meter" froze my phone. |
[2012-08-07] A Google User: HTC vivid Light sensor isn't compatible. I'd love to purchase the app but only if it works properly. |
[2012-07-30] A Google User: Great for old film cameras I've got a 50 year old range finder camera without a built in light meter. This saves me carrying around a separate light meter. It also has the cleanest and most simple interface of the Android light meter apps i tried. |
[2012-07-21] A Google User: Perfect Tool For Vintage Camera Users I have several old film cameras that I shoot routinely. This is the perfect tool for backing up those 40 year old meters or using meterless cameras. |
[2012-07-17] A Google User: Ok only Not very accurate. Exif reader is not working. |
[2012-07-10] A Google User: Accurate, quick and useful Good app, works well but then bricked my device! Had to pull battery and reboot |

[2012-03-20] A Google User: Not for galaxy ace Doesn't work on samsung galaxy ace. I sent an email to the developer and he told me to wait a new release but after the fourth release the problem is still there |
[2012-03-19] A Google User: Great App! Great app, I don't know how anybody could rate this low unless it is their phone that can't run it. It works way better than I thought it would! Keep it up and I will purchase the pro version. Thank you. |
[2012-03-16] A Google User: Meh Hard to tell if paused or working. Tools not well integrated. Nice trial time. |
[2012-03-11] A Google User: Sucks It doea not change aperture shutter sp' eed. Or iso. Tried for long and nothing happens so annoying |
[2012-03-08] A Google User: Great but needs bug fixes... Would give five stars but on Samsung vibrant light sensor hangs app. |
[2012-03-06] A Google User: After update crashes while starting |
[2012-02-28] A Google User: Using on HTC wildfire, won't let me change ISO and crashed/rebooted the phone when I tried using camera metering. Would recommend beeCam lightmeter |

[2012-02-07] A Google User: Now useless Update destroyed app |
[2012-02-06] A Google User: HTC Needs to be compatible with HTC hd desire other than that great app |
[2012-01-31] A Google User: Works really well & has a lot of options. I wouldn't mind spending to get the upgrade/full version. |
[2012-01-16] A Google User: Needs moved to SD. Would be better if it was moved to SD. |
[2011-10-04] A Google User: extremely useful app, my other cameras come out more now that I don't need extra gear for a reading. |
[2011-07-05] A Google User: Just what my Rolleiflex needs |
[2011-07-05] Jon: Just what my Rolleiflex needs |

[2011-05-14] A Google User: Simple and easy to use. It doesn't get much simpler than this. A must for any photographer, who like me, has a little trouble remembering all the rules of Sunny 16. |
