[2011-10-23] Shobhit: Works fine ... Not sure what other bozos are cribbing about. D7000 / Epic 4g synced perfectly each time. Only complaint - took me 10 mins to set it up. |
[2011-10-18] Aaron: Needs a resize option Not much use I'd you're stuck uploading big (dslr) jpegs over 3g or whatever. If I had a fast wifi connection I wouldn't be using this app, would I? |
[2011-10-09] Reggie: Works well with my tablet A little confusing to setup. But works well. Taking pics with Canon Rebel. Uploads to Xoom. |
[2011-10-09] challgren: App constantly crashes, waste of 1.77mb |
[2011-10-08] Rich: Way too confusing Can't figure out what it is doing...settings make no sense |
[2011-09-30] Claude: Privacy Why suddenly the need for my location? There's no reason this app needs that. And if it did, coarse would be plenty, definitely doesn't need GPS! |
[2011-09-29] Andrew: Bit fiddly to set up, but once done it worked ok, only issue was it uploaded in batches so put them in different folders on me phone. |
[2011-09-28] Carlos Santiso: Cannot move to SD card. May need to unistall |
[2011-09-28] Andy: Set up direct mode - went shooting all day. Nothing happened. Canon D5000. Uninstalled |
[2011-09-20] Johann: Didn't work for me, and took too much memory. |
[2011-09-15] jivko: Good, but still needs some more settings and GUI rework. |
[2011-09-13] Duke: Direct mode setup is tough but works like magic after that. Eye-Fi is a must have. HTC EVO 3D. |
[2011-09-12] Jordan: Will only upload pictures on one device whether it be a computer, ios device, our Android device.you cannot have your pics uploaded to all sources |
[2011-08-28] Adam: Can't send pics to both Android and computer? I installed this app hoping I could tell the card to send pictures to both my android tablet and to my computer, but it appears I can only pick one or the other? It looks like maybe it's possible to use the app to send the pics from Android to the computer, but that seems like too many steps to wait for the files to be sent. Will need to check into this more... |
[2011-08-28] David: The negative first; tricky to set up, and a lack of options That aside, the memory card and app does what it says quickly, recommended nexus s |
[2011-08-27] d: Privacy Concerns Can't upload to phone without contacting their servers, application runs in bg even if u uncheck auto connect AND even if you are logged out. |
[2011-08-14] Eric: This must be a joke in that its such a pain in the a$$ to setup. Worked for one picture... Then nothing after that. |
[2011-08-12] the 8/14/2011 Why can't you just make an intuitive app that works? I paid a lot for my eye fi cards. |
[2011-08-06] Sudheer: Where is the account registration screen |
[2011-08-06] victor: So does not work. The app works when it wants to. There are no instructions on new how to work the app. There is no way to force start the transfer process. |
[2011-08-01] YH: Cannot save images to ExternalSD, must use internal memory. |
[2011-07-30] radu: Gotten better |
[2011-07-30] Phillip: Works great |
[2011-07-28] BigB: Very, very clever device and software. How did I live without it? Works great with my Canon sx-410. |
[2011-07-23] Superlink X: Amazing! Using it with my card from when Google had the buy storage and get a free eyefi card last year. Works great. |
[2011-07-23] denix: FC on HTC Sensation after login Worked well on NookColor and Galaxy Tab. Strangely, force closes on HTC Sensation after login... Please fix. |
[2011-07-23] Sam: Nice work |
[2011-07-23] aLb3Rt: Works great on my Thunderbolt and Nikon D5100 Works great on my Thunderbolt and Nikon D5100. Set it up to upload to facebook album and my desktop at home. Infinite storage!!! |
[2011-07-21] Taylor: Great App but more features would be better Direct sync functionality is very cool for both my phone, DroidX1, and tablet, Galaxy 10.1, with my camera's but i wish it had a some more setting and controls. I would like to the settings interface to be smoother and more clear as to what settings i am actually changing. Being able to select individual pictures instead of the whole card would be great too. Also i don't want the app to find everything that might be a picture on my device and put it in the apps photo collection page, please add setting |
[2011-07-12] mrbob: Works as advertised. Pretty happy with it so far. It should be blindingly obvious that you need wifi running in order to transfer photos over wifi. |
[2011-07-05] D!: Obtuse I've figured out what's going on...I think. The menus are circular and confusing only because they are too simple, with no description. Key seems to be that you can transfer to one device (phone or pc) at a time, not some files here and some files there. Which is dumb. AND the camera must be connected to the internet or the card must be plugged into your computer to make the switch. |
[2011-07-05] jfmole: Not good. Using MoPhotos instead. Uninstalled this app. I couldn't tolerate its inconsistent performance. Switched to MoPhotos and have been getting better performance and great dev support. I won't be looking back! |
[2011-07-02] Frédéric: Mostly ok I miss a high resolution 100% instant zoom to check the focus accuracy, and a clean way to delete a picture. Double tap for zooming in the picture is blurry. Picture transmission works as expected. |
[2011-07-01] the 7/1/2011 : Constant force closes from the getgo on a stock HTC Sensation on T.Mobile. Using the x2 pro |
[2011-06-25] Andrew: App is pretty fast, though |
[2011-06-18] S: Setup awkward on verizon ally android, pro-X2 & olympus 810. App xfers same photos over & over. Cant delete xfer'd photos on phone for more photos. |
[2011-06-15] Nathan: Great app. A little odd to setup, but after that it is fantastic. |
[2011-06-14] Kirk: need option to disable RAW transfer to phone using an EyeFi Pro card, and selective transfer mode, when the image set to protected, both RAW and JPEG got transfered (even RAW transfer was disable in eyefi manager on the profile.) would be nice if it doesn't transfer the 24MB file from the 5DM2 to the android phone on the go. |
[2011-06-04] Jonas: Works - but to those people with force close issue To those people with force close issues, try deleting the jpgs on your device in the music folders, and in other areas (if you're comfortable doing that). And to the developer - maybe make the auto load files in other folders setting unchecked as the default. Your image viewer is nothing special and I am not using it to look at my music folder images. Will update once I get more experience. |
[2011-06-03] James: Great app. Flawless upload to PC and Picassa. Needs app to install to SD card to get 5 stars from me though. HTC Desire |
[2011-05-29] Cintra: I agree with Joe. My biggest issue was being unable to quit the app. This refers to the 4GB Geo |
[2011-05-24] Joe: Poor layout and sometimes spotty transfers. The concept is simple and it's a good idea. In the execution they managed to muck it up. |
[2011-05-21] Dennis: Had trouble updating the firmware, but support bailed me out and it does what I bought it for. High -Rez photos to my Galaxy Tab and transfer anywhere |
[2011-05-19] John: Have to force close every time. A nuisance app. uninstalled |
[2011-05-14] benjaminwt: No easy way to disable the service, uses battery when not necessary, I can disable the sd card on my camera, but not here with out terminating process |
[2011-05-11] Nooners: Love the new media filter! Works great! Wish it had app to SD capability. |
[2011-05-08] Michael: Edit.. getting better |
[2011-05-08] Andrew: Used to let me view transfers from my camera, but doesn't anymore. |
[2011-05-07] tmb: Potentially nice functionality, but pairing and setting up transfers is confusing. |
[2011-05-04] Hugo: getting the occasional bad transfer but even so it is almost magical |
[2011-05-04] Jon: It would be perfect if I could have it set so it only shows photos from session instead of showing every picture I have. |
[2011-05-03] ygurvitz: Turned my Android into a magical and revolutionary device. Reporting from the field has never been easier. |
[2011-05-02] Bill: Poor attempt at trying to make something that is advertised as making transfers of pictures easy. Use a cable, much quicker less frustrating |
[2011-05-01] tygrr: It's great I can automatically send pictures to my computer like the card does. Makes my phone soft restart while uploading. HTC thunderbolt . |
[2011-05-01] jmchez: I'm an experienced computer users and can't get the direct mode to work. Sees the card transmitting but does nothing. |
[2011-04-30] Perttu: Excellent concept but setup is very confusing! |
[2011-04-29] Antony: Flaky, non-intuitive rubbish. its a nice idea, but like the rest of the eyefi stable poorly implemented. It's just not worth the effort |
[2011-04-27] simon.the.photo: can't see the filter setting After the latest update, can't see the filter setting. Very useful, works, but take time to understand and set it up. |
[2011-04-27] utp: Plz use the default share func, NOT HIJACK icon which upload to Eyefi server, better thumbnails, and a Quit options to allow closing service is needed |
[2011-04-26] Ed Catlett: How about some instructions? It would be nice if there was some kind of help or indication why nothing is happening when I try to login with my user name and password. When I click Login I get a popup that says Login that popup goes away then NOTHING happens. I can't tell if it is logged in. No help, no incompatibility message NOTHING. I have tried this on both an Evo and a Galaxy Tab and exactly the same bad experience. |
[2011-04-26] Glenn: Cannot login. Have tripple checked my user name and password. No indication that anything is wrong except will not go beyond login screen. |
[2011-04-26] Patrick: Works great! Setup not obvious. Direct mode works great, espcially on Android. Way better than the iPad. I would give this 4 or5 stars but the setup is not obvious. TURN ON YOUR WIFI before trying to login or else you won't get anywhere. Anybody who has run into trouble with this... not your fault. I hope they update the gallery to make it more useful. I can see this being an awesome experience, especially after I upgrade to a phone with a larger screen later on. |
[2011-04-25] ersouza: Only useful for Direct Mode Eye Fi's hardware continues to be let down by rough, barebones software. The Eye-Fi Android software is only useful to facilitate direct mode transfers for the new X2 cards. As gallery software, it is poor, not offering full resolution, full fidelity previews of image files. It handles larger JPEGs poorly and only displays RAW images based on the embedded thumbnail. Also doesn't have any kind of two-way communication, to allow deleting images on the card from the Android device. |
[2011-04-24] Chuck: works great on my droid x a little tricky to setup great app |
[2011-04-24] Richard: Why the f'n hell is this app trying to reference every last picture on my phone?! |
[2011-04-23] Steve: Takes some setting up but works great now! |
[2011-04-23] cruxstew: Can't log on. Very frustrating. Waste of money and time. We'll see how good customer service is. Can't wait to go through more troubleshooting. Evo. |
[2011-04-22] pole: Magic. Using this with my D7000 in direct mode. Makes the camera in my camera phone obsolete! Needs some additional settings tho. |
[2011-04-21] Stephanie: Crashes on my Evo. |
[2011-04-21] Konrad: You have to be on wifi before logging in |
[2011-04-21] flibbertigibbet007: Can't clear database of now everything on my SD card. Uninstalled and cleared app data. Entire SD content is still there... ugh. |
[2011-04-21] Ken: Works well enough...wish it only showed download pics in its gallery. |
[2011-04-21] ESNeifeld: Works great on my G2. |
[2011-04-20] Dinesh: Can't get past login screen |
[2011-04-20] Andreaccs: Not very easy to set up |
[2011-04-20] Nate: Can't Login? Read this! You cannot login until you have Wi-Fi turned on. I was having the same problems as everyone else until I turned Wi-Fi on. Then I thought about it, duh can't talk to the Eye-fi card unless the Wi-Fi is on. |
[2011-04-19] Spencer: Works great with my Prox-2 and my canon camera. |
[2011-04-19] Phil: Works fine with my Pro x2 All functions seem to work well. Download from card seems as fast as with the computer. Uploads from android to computer slow though. probably due to device limitations. I agree with other comments that more functionality needs to be added to the picture browser. I have 16000 photos on my phone and without sorting and subdivision. its a no hoper. Also, with uploading speeds in mind could do with the ability to mark for retransfer to pc when pc is available eg after a trip. |
[2011-04-19] E.O.: Works... kinda Direct mode only works well when away from other networks; it would be nice if the app could force a connection to a card more consistently. Agree that photo browser should only show Eye-Fi photos. Support for RAW files is flaky; you can't view them (which is fine), but you also can't get them from the phone to a remote computer that I can tell. |
[2011-04-18] Sugibuchi: Cannot "share" photos. Why? Yes, this app provides a "share" button with the well-known icon. But in fact this button is for uploading photos to Eye-fi View, not for sharing photos with other apps. Use the standard terminology for android apps!! Please change the name of this button to "upload" and add a new button for the standard "share" functionality. |
[2011-04-18] Richard: Doesnt work with eye fi X2 cards This app wont connect to my cameras eye fi card, the eye fi cards software says that the card needs a firmware update to enable the direct mode thats required for this app to work, but the firmware update fails as its not been made available. |
[2011-04-17] Jon: Finally! Almost too simple to get going, and there are some goofy issues getting the firmware to show up for existing users, but I'm sure that will all get ironed out. It works well, transfers are speedy, and the interface is straight forward. Hopefully they will add options for what folders to look at for images as its showing some images from apps on my SD card, but the gallery does the same thing so can't fault eye-fi. |
[2011-04-17] Chris: About Time! Honestly it was great on the iPhone and now that it comes to Android it's even better. I hope they release the card update soon so I can try Direct Mode. |
