The cherry blossom is the flower of Japan, but a single term cannot cover the wide variety of types that exist. Dark and pale, double petal and more. Some would wonder if bird cherry or inuzakura (literally "dog cherry") are cherry trees at all, but they are yet another marvelous member of the family.
