This app can measure the exposure without influence of the reflectivity of subject.
The accuracy of measurements depends on the sensor of your phone.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This app can also calculate f-stop or shutter speed by using manually inputted illuminance or EV.

[2013-08-11] A Google User: Reports bogus virus messages As soon as this runs it "detects viruses" and wants to link to an antivirus site. |
[2013-07-30] A Google User: So-so Not very accurate due to the sensor built into the phone not being accurate, especially sucks in low light and also some very basic f numbers simply non-existant like f1.8 |
[2013-07-29] A Google User: not yet for the s4 doesnt seem to work for my s4. sad as it looks like a good app. |
[2013-07-28] A Google User: Great app I am not sure, honestly, how much I am going to use it, but it is a great app! |
[2013-07-16] A Google User: Needs more Apertures Half the people using this app are going to be using 1.8 lenses. Please add it. Its silly not to. |
[2013-07-12] A Google User: Excellent Works really well. Noticed it takes the reading from my screen facing camera not the main one. Once I worked this out it's great. |
[2013-06-12] A Google User: Works great on Galaxy S3 My old film camera lacks a light meter. This does a good job of getting me a decent exposure. |
[2013-06-12] A Google User: Decent, but not for cinema work. Not useful more movies because doesn't have applicable shutter speeds or shutter angle setting. Pity. |
[2013-06-09] A Google User: Nexus 4 support needes Nexus 4 needs support. Galaxy Nexus works well. |
[2013-06-07] A Google User: Useful app Fantastic app when installed on a phone with a decent light meter. I'm using it with a samsung galaxy note. The settings it gives are pretty much spot on. Very useful app, thank you. Any photographer must give it a try. After all it is free! |
[2013-06-04] A Google User: Compared with Sekonic l-308s For sgs2 set gain value to 1.0 compared it to my sekonic and it's accurate |
[2013-06-01] A Google User: ads |
[2013-05-30] A Google User: Sort of works but why bother? Makes use of the ambient light sensor, which is designed to adjust screen brightness. Accuracy, repeatability and working range are not required for this function which severely limits the utility of this and similar apps. You would be much better downloading a set of exposure tables. |
[2013-05-22] A Google User: Google Tankyou |
[2013-05-16] A Google User: Didn't work for me Didn't work at all |
[2013-05-14] A Google User: Seams ok So set my shutter speed and my iso and not matter what I do it just keeps saying f0.5 even though my cameras meter is saying f22 |
[2013-04-28] A Google User: totaly useless i had my fingers on both the cameras and the lux nr and other data wasn't stationary it kept going up and down. is like the app is responding to the inbuilt accelerometer not the actal image senzor. in a total dark room it said it's plenty of light |
[2013-04-20] A Google User: Useful Useful |
[2013-04-20] A Google User: Amazing Its so cool app I can't believe this |
[2013-04-18] A Google User: Looks like this app uses the front light detector which is used to adjust the screen brightness, not the camera. Other than wishing this feature to be documented more clearly, grart app. May be not extremely precise, but it always depends on metering mode. |
[2013-04-14] A Google User: Great Almost same as measurement tools Using G note |
[2013-04-02] A Google User: Basic calcs are way off regardless of the the light meter, i compared the manual exposure numbers it provides to other sources and they are way off. |
[2013-03-29] A Google User: Sunny 16 with no math. Set film speed and ambient lux -- get aperture and shutter speed sanity checks. Wait -- digital? You have an exposure meter built in... |
[2013-03-27] A Google User: useless? completely inaccurate. I forgot my light meter today and I downloaded this. it gives a difference about 4 sto ps. eye meter is way more trusty ;P |
[2013-03-15] A Google User: Disappointed Very poor accuracy on my Galaxy Nexus, even when attempting to tweak the sensor settings. |
[2013-03-09] A Google User: Totally inaccurate Compared it to a real lux meter and this all is just making numbers up. |
[2013-03-05] A Google User: Great App! I used this app during an 8 hour photo shoot last weekend and it worked flawlessly! |
[2013-02-25] A Google User: Excellent app Very usable app. |
[2013-02-08] A Google User: So cool |
[2013-01-31] A Google User: It sucks |
[2013-01-19] A Google User: Galaxy S3 = YES Works on my Samsung galaxy s3 |
[2013-01-18] A Google User: Excellent save Saves me having to buy an expensive professional light meter, instead i can use this to calculate from lux |
[2013-01-06] A Google User: Do not like it It seems to be working most of times, but not easy to use because of small fonts and choice of front sensor. |
[2013-01-04] A Google User: Accurate Accurate, i use this |
[2012-12-25] A Google User: Great for digital Just tried this on my Galaxy Note 2 and it works great. Will be calibrating it on my Panny G2 and GH3. ps I've always click on a few interesting ads as this ap is free so it helps the developer. |
[2012-12-21] A Google User: Simple and useful Seems to work quite well on the Motorola Atrix 2 :). Very useful app for photographers! |
[2012-12-12] A Google User: Doesn't work for me I get what look like accurate readings for a few seconds, but then the readings stop updating. |
[2012-12-05] A Google User: Not working On HTC Desire S it does not work. It cannot read anything. |
[2012-11-26] A Google User: Works great Haven't compared it to meters on my cameras yet, but it looks pretty accurate by my estimation. Is there ANY way you could update it to include flash metering? That would be amazing. I would pay big for that. |
[2012-11-16] A Google User: Lux never changes No lux |
[2012-11-10] A Google User: Works fine Near perfect readings on the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, as long as it's positioned into the light source. Agrees mostly with my old analog Gossen Lunasix 3, except the Gossen has a wider angle of measurement. I'll give 5 stars for a higher-contrast display thaf does not try to mimic a lower-quality LCD plus landscape mode. |
[2012-11-09] A Google User: WOrked a few times on my galaxy X. But then completely borked itself. |
[2012-11-08] A Google User: Not sure Don't think this works properly on xperia s |
[2012-11-08] A Google User: Missing my fstop and shutter speed I shoot on a t2i with a 50mm fixed lens so I can't use this app because, as my title reads, it doesn't have options for 1/25 or f1.2 :( very sad |
[2012-11-03] A Google User: Inaccurate!!! I tested the app against 2 Minolta Flash Meters (III & V) and a Sekonic L-508 meter. The app was off by 1.3 to 1.7 stops... This discrepancy is way too much for digital and positive film. Not suitable for professional work but okay if you need a light meter that takes rough readings. |
[2012-10-31] A Google User: Mixed feelings Haven't developed single film yet but this app has already crashed. Doesn't feel too secure. However I very much like the features of the app. Wish I could develop c41 with it. Another bothering thing is my phone's screen turning off when timer is running. Minor fixes would make this app great. |
[2012-10-01] A Google User: Hebaaaat Luarrrrrrrt biasaaaaaaaa |
[2012-09-30] A Google User: MyTouch Q Seems to work pretty well on my phone. |
[2012-09-29] A Google User: Wow I didn't think that would work but it did This app is awesome so much fun and defiantly handy |
[2012-09-29] A Google User: Disapprove |
[2012-09-28] A Google User: work, but for couple of seconds Metering works only for 2-3 seconds, then it stops. i have to exit and start app again in order to get new reading. incompatible with my phone? |
[2012-09-25] A Google User: Measures light using light senson on the LCD screen But it only measures 2 values.... 10 LUX (total dark) & 100 LUX (when there is any sort of light)... Nothing in between. |
[2012-09-21] A Google User: Flawless I installed this app yesterday and didn't expect too much in terms of accuracy. Boy was I wrong; I tested it an hour under various light conditions with my DSLR on a grey card and the results were totally accurate. I will be using this app a lot in the future. Many thanks to the author for providing this amazing piece of software. ありがとう |
[2012-09-20] A Google User: Perfect Works like a charm, does everything I needed it to. The outcome is amazing for a free app. How do I donate? |
[2012-09-13] A Google User: really great app to try n learn! works fine on my Galaxy Note N7000. I never have used the light meter, this app allowed me to learn about light meter and to exploit more from my Dslr! Thanks! |
[2012-09-08] A Google User: Benu Smart idea... |
[2012-09-07] A Google User: I am not sure how to use it. It failed almost everytime in low light conditions. At ISO 1600, it gives an exposure of 8" in brightly lit areas. Can someone help me in calibrating it? |
[2012-09-01] A Google User: Good app Works well on Galexy Note! Nice job! Would be better if the aperture value can be further down to the pinhole photography range (i.e. f/128, f/180 etc.) |
[2012-08-31] A Google User: Not working on Huawei u8800-51 |
[2012-08-29] A Google User: Doesn't work This doesn't on the Acer Iconia Tab A500. Get no result. |
[2012-08-24] A Google User: Inaccurate on moto razr |
[2012-08-17] A Google User: Ok Readings are ok-ish. Battery log says it consumes ridiculous (sometimes more than 95%) amounts of battery life, though |
[2012-08-10] A Google User: works fine on Desire Z Works fine on Desire Z, thanks, I've been looking for this kind of app, for some time. |
[2012-08-10] A Google User: Not working on Galaxy S3 Unfortunately this app give's me completely wrong values on Samsung Galaxy s3. |
[2012-08-05] A Google User: Works great I used this app to measure the efficiency of my room darkening blinds, and it worked as it should have, measuring a difference of eleven lux. |
[2012-07-29] A Google User: Gee Needs some ui tweaks. |
[2012-07-20] A Google User: Not working Doesn't work on lg2x |
[2012-07-18] A Google User: Not enough options For ISO and shutter speeds. My camera is rated around a 500 ISO and I shoot 24p frame rate so my shutter is usually 1/48. Too bad. |
[2012-07-15] A Google User: Works with Sensation 4G |
[2012-07-12] A Google User: Xperia s Doesn't work with xperia s |
[2012-07-08] A Google User: HTC desire 4 f stops out on my desire compared results with my Canon dslr. No good on this phone. |
[2012-07-02] A Google User: .cc Ffffg |
[2012-06-13] A Google User: Excellent Used with my new early 60's Flexaret Automat TLR with a 35 mm adapter, every photo came out brilliant and perfectly exposed. Great application. <3 |
[2012-06-08] A Google User: Hello For what are the little dots in the front of the samsung admire |
[2012-05-30] A Google User: Finally one that works finally... the only one that works Nothing else seemed to work on my phone...this one does, and it works well. |
[2012-05-20] A Google User: Works well. Seems to give reliable exposures on galaxy s2. Great app! |
[2012-05-19] A Google User: Adware Since this is adware, the ads should be shown in the screenshots in the Android Market. This would have saved me the trouble of installing it as I do not allow adware on my phone. |
[2012-05-17] A Google User: Nice app. Works as advertised. |
[2012-05-05] A Google User: works for a few seconds then freezes just installed and now uninstalling. may try it again later. |
[2012-04-23] A Google User: Suck. Samsung Tab 7+. Uninstall. |
[2012-04-11] A Google User: Accurate Spot -on accuracy. But sometimes gets stuck and requires a force stop to run again. Less of an issue since upgrading to Cyanogen. Would like a spot metering option and a zone scale. |
[2012-04-05] A Google User: Works as you'd expect. Would like a reflected meter mode (rear camera) though. |
[2012-04-03] A Google User: Excellent app Works well on HTC Amaze 4G. Its reliable and fairly accurate. Would be nice to have the ability to choose the button name i.e. f/stop or shutter priority. |
[2012-04-02] A Google User: Good for what it is Easy 2 use, clean interface. I wish it worked 4 my phone. |
[2012-03-31] A Google User: cap |
[2012-03-30] A Google User: Doesn't work well at all Does not work well at all |
[2012-03-26] A Google User: Way off Waste of time. Figures are way off. Some readings should be ten times higher than what is shown. It's the fault of the sensor as all apps I have tried show the same reading. |
[2012-03-25] A Google User: Arsi Nice |
[2012-03-18] A Google User: No preview It would be nice to have a (simulated) preview during metering. |
[2012-03-17] A Google User: An app with promise Doesn't always Work ,not accurate, needs improvement |
[2012-03-07] A Google User: Nice After calibrating with my sekonic works fine! close enough! Just go to setting and play with sensor value number until values mach the your light meter! HTC G2 |
[2012-03-07] A Google User: good Does exactly what it says. Thanks to the developer. |
[2012-03-05] A Google User: Good for reference |
[2012-02-28] A Google User: Good app Works with htc EVO design 4g |
[2012-02-24] A Google User: Works well Works well as an incident light meter on a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet. Accuracy good ... no need to apply correction factor to sensor. Also tried on Samsung Galaxy Mini cell phone. There is no light sensor in this phone so had the option of inputting either EV or LUX values. The LUX table was easiest as it is annotated (street light, sunrise, ... ). Impressive |
[2012-02-24] A Google User: Brilliant Awesome. Actually works! HTC desire HD. Used it for a number of films on my lubitel now. Great to have incident light meter reading negates requirements of a spot meter. Sam |
[2012-02-22] A Google User: Accurate for digital and film Just know that this measure incident light and you'll be fine. Works on my ZTE Orange Cali/ Blade like a charm and on my meter less vintage camera. |
[2012-02-21] A Google User: ' Tested this and several other apps against a light meter. Inaccuracy is a function of the sensor, not the app. Don't trust your phone's light sensor for critical readings. Get a real meter. |
[2012-02-20] A Google User: Confusing Hard to use, keep having to force close |
[2012-01-25] A Google User: Wow, extremely good! Work like charm, I love this application. |
