[ Chinese Style ]

Ren Wei Chang, a famous Chinese painter, had drawn a series of block prints named "Thirty Three Knight-errant ".  There are totally thirty three characters, and each of them has their own modeling and distinguishing feature.
You will find the theme itself pretty special and traditional here.

[ 12th Knight-errant ]

This story was talk about a private general named Wang Jing Hong.  One day, a precious pilot made by jade was missing.  The emperor was very angry and asked every soldier must to find out who did it.  One day Wang and his co-worker hold a ceremony; his has a slave who had talent and quick.  Wang doubt that the slave was the one who stole the jade pilot.  And the slave said that he knew who did it and will bring him to the emperor tomorrow.  Then, he brought the thief and the thief also admitted to still the jade pilot.  The emperor was very happy and wanted to give reward to the slave but the slave was already going back to his hometown.  So the emperor gave the reward to Wang.

[ 14th Knight-errant ]

This story was talked about a person – Syu Ji from Sichuan.  When he was young he moved to Zhejiang province to learn the book of changes (or I-Ching Theory).  One day, there was a couple came and bring a bottle of wine ask for one night to stay.  Syu Ji asked them where they came from; they said they came from Yan County today.  “Yan County has a huge distance from here, how could you come here by a day?”  The couple didn’t answer and Syu Ji felt very strange.  And the couple was both very young, the woman was extremely beautiful but look seriously are rarely talk.  One night, the couple took out the bottle of wine and share to Syu Ji.  The man pulled out one piece of wood whick had a lot of nail on it.  The man used it as an instrument and sang.  The lyric was all about the skill of sword.  After a while, he pulled out two things from his sleeve – two swords and made it fly and twist on Syu Ji’s head.  Syu Ji was freaked out.  Later, the man collected the swords back, drank up and goes to sleep.  And the couple disappeared the next morning.

The story was talking about a scholar named Ding who was lived in a temple.  Ding has nothing special compare to others.  One big storm night, Ding and other Taoists stayed together and chat.  “That would be wonderful if we have wine to drink and delicious lamb to eat.” One of the Taoist said.  “That’s not a difficult thing.” Ding said.  Everybody thought that Ding was joking.  Then, Ding go straight out and came back in the midnight with bottle of wine and delicious lamb.  Everyone was surprised by Ding.  Suddenly, Ding pulled out a long sword and jump, then disappeared.

[ 10th Knight-errant ]

This story is from the Tang Dynasty. There’s a widow who was very rich named Shin San Niang, she met a man named Jhao Jhong Li and felt in love with him immediately.  Jhao Jhong Li treat his friend very kind, and spent a lot of money from Shin San Niang, but she didn’t care because she loved him.  And Jhao Jhong Li had a friend named Lee who felt in loved with a prostitute.  But the prostitute’s parents were very greedy, so took her to a rich and powerful man.  Since Lee cannot fight against the rich man, so begged for Shin San Niang’s help and Shin San Niang agreed.  Shin San Niang Told him to wait at a place, and when she came to meet Lee, she also brought a big linen bag and opened it.  The prostitute jump out of the bag, and there’re two heads in the bag which belong to the prostitute’s parents.
