Image and Video Shortcut (v. 9)

This app can be used in two different ways to achieve the same result:

Adding shortcuts on your homescreen to an image or video in your media gallery. Shortcut shows thumbnail and title.

First way to create shortcut: from your homescreen, select add then select shortcut.
Select Media Shortcut to pick an image or video to create shortcut to.

Second way to create shortcut: from your gallery app, select the share button.
Select Media Shortcut to create a shortcut to the image or video on your homescreen.

In both cases a dialog will appear allowing you to modify the title of the shortcut.
For images you can select the area (crop) that will be shown on the shortcut's icon. (the full image will be shown when launched)

When launching the short cut from your home screen you can select which app to view the picture or movie with.

Media Shortcut is only 15kb. It requires only the install-shortcut permission and has no background activities or advertisements.

Perfect First: you are NOT "forced" to write a review. There is no standard "app" here, so the app icon brings you to a popup dialog with INSTRUCTIONS for how to use the app. Just back out of it and make your shortcuts by long pressing on the home screen and choosing "shortcut". Review: Android needs to give users much more control over home screen shortcuts. Something this simple and fundamental should have been part of the OS to begin with. The app works well and is easy to use.

Nice Exactly what I needed. Allows me to create image shortcuts on the home screen. Handy when using a mobile boarding pass when flying. Just save the boarding pass as an image and put a shortcut on the home screen. Quick easy access!

Galaxy SII problem Previously I used it on HTC without any problem. But on my new SII after power on/off shortcuts are disapeared. What is the problem?
