APW Google Reader (v. 1.1.6) Разработано Dr. Appche |
A scrollable Google Reader home screen widget
Are you using the Google Reader android application?
Want a better widget than the simple news ticker that comes with it?
Try APW Google Reader!
✓ Designed for both smart phones and tablets
✓ Works on all devices and all launchers
✓ Similar functionality to the ICS Google Reader widget
☆☆☆ READ THIS PLEASE! ☆☆☆
■ You must install Google Reader before installing this widget. Link: http://market.android.com/details?id=com.google.android.apps.reader
■ Make sure 'Synchronize feeds' is enabled on your google reader's settings for automatic updates.
■ Use similar options for Sort Order and Unread Items Only/New Items in both Google Reader and the widget. Otherwise the widget may stop showing items!
■ The scroll button is only necessary on launchers that don't support scrollable widgets.
■ If you are using a task killer make sure to exclude this application from it.
■ For more widgets try Android Pro Widgets.
■ Buy the license key to support the development and enable themes support. You will also get access to all Android Pro Widgets features.
■ Be aware that Google can decide to block this application at any time. We hope it won't happen ;)

[2012-09-29] Foodstamp: Good app |
[2012-09-29] Keith: Good Widget If you add a menu button with a mark all read option, I will give it 5 stars! |
[2012-09-28] Slaxl77: Good but... Makes sense homescreens lag on ICS. Needs an update. |
[2012-09-25] stephen: Good |
[2012-09-23] Delia: Great widget I hope it is as great as the reviews that I read:) |
[2012-09-22] Kate: Not Bad, but Not bad, but I wish there was a better way to sort what was displayed. I would like to see an option to only put certain folders in the widget, you can only display one now. I would also like the reader to utilize my folders, but think that is on google's end. My favorite reader is feedly, but there widget is awful. |
[2012-09-02] manish: Manisnhmadhavan Thank u well |
[2012-09-02] hezrey: google reader good |
[2012-09-01] Jacky: Doesn't seem to work with MIUI launcher Does it require launcher which supports scrollable widget? |
[2012-08-24] FherraZ: It would be perfect If you add an option at the bottom of scrolling feeds to "see more" so more news get shown, like Go widgets do. |
[2012-08-16] CINDY: CYNTHIA M. |
[2012-08-12] Jason: Not bad but room for improvement I would expect consistency across the widgets where there are common features e g. Refresh. Also needs email widget to get five stars |
[2012-08-06] Islam: Application Others sdcard on download |
[2012-08-04] Prasanth: Incomplete feature set Ability to see summaries /marking an item as read by clicking the item on widget itself, instead of launching the reader app everytime would make using it more practical. |
[2012-07-29] Jim: Clean Love the widget don't like that it requires greader to work would prefer currents otherwise great |
[2012-07-25] Alex: Awesome Great app. |
[2012-07-14] Adam: Highly |
[2012-07-07] Stella: Great add-on for APW. |
[2012-07-07] Akhil: Great Widget Its a nice and beautiful widget. But two suggestions i want to give. Thumbnails should be bigger and the option to launch a custom app by clicking on widget. Just like the FB widget. I want it to open Pulse as a news App. Apart from this, everything is good. |
[2012-07-02] David: The best news widget I've seen |
[2012-07-02] Richard Manns: Refresh problems And 'Oldest First' ordering would be good. |
[2012-07-01] Jim: Useless for me Out of the thousands of headlines available in my Reader, this widget will only display 20. What's the point of being scrollable if you can only scroll one page? (Rooted Kindle Fire w/ CM7.2) |
[2012-07-01] @1Tamarcus: T |
[2012-06-27] Marco Brandizi: Depends on Google Reader Forces me to install Google Reader. I already have gReader. There's no. Need for that, use their API! |
[2012-06-26] sageb1: Great front end |
[2012-06-24] Johannes: Good widget, nice theme support. Gets five stars if I get the abilitg to choose another rss/google reader client, e.g. feedly or gReader. |
[2012-06-23] Mark: Inflexible and needs Google reader Was hoping it was a proper rss widget like scrollable news widget |
[2012-06-20] Hafizi: Nice! Tq! |
[2012-06-13] Andrew: Awesome, but buggy when used between 2+ devices I love APW, and the reader widget, it takes up a whole page on my home screen. It looks and functions great. I love its functionality and clean look (Especially full black themes) The only bad thing I can say about it is that when I use it on my kindle, galaxy s 2, and epic4g (work phone) I always have problems with it not loading the most recent material or syncing incorrectly. (2 devices on Cm9 and one on ICS 4.0.3) |
[2012-06-03] milk: Fantastic widget. Smooth loading scrollable widget. Love loads of font options but Please add large thumbnail options on the widget too. Ty :-) |
[2012-06-03] Rahul: Kya bimari h yea |
[2012-06-03] Tay: Galaxy Note Great App woud be better if widget could be resized to 5x5 to fill screen. |
[2012-05-28] Genki: Should be included in APW Works fine, but why is this a separate download in the market. This should be part of the main APW app. |
[2012-05-27] Martycurry24@Google.co: Marty Good app very pleased with it . |
[2012-05-27] Pete: Sup I'm old greg |
[2012-04-20] adeel: aaa |
[2012-04-20] Giannis: Very good widget |
[2012-04-12] Lucas e Katy: Otimo |
[2012-04-08] Desai: Good |
[2012-04-04] aspects of teaching secondary mathematics: Needs more posts. Pretty much useless due to how little information it shows. |
[2012-04-03] saltorio: Wonderful. Just needs some tweaks. A great addition to APW (which this widget should be included as part of). Good customization options, beautiful themes, and a widget that resizes as you'd expect it should. Does need (an option) to display more articles though, as you hit the bottom of the list pretty quickly. Would be nice if it tied into other Google Reader clients, rather than absolutely requiring Google's app. |
[2012-04-02] hackerpure: God Good |
[2012-03-29] Pryvitanka: Awesome My favourite ap |
[2012-03-24] Mitch: Poor compared to alternatives. No auto-refresh/fetch. Doesn't display many items. Only a handful of articles, maybe. |
[2012-03-24] tridious: how about possible to have more sizes made available?..would love to have a 4x2 one so that i can have different panels for different feeds and not mix them up... |
[2012-03-21] Edd: Great Amazing but needs to load more items. Thanks! |
[2012-03-18] Χαράλαμπος: That's it! After trying more than 20 widgets for my motorola razr, I chose that. The best complement for google reader. |
[2012-03-18] SetiroN // Hypnotoad: The only grudge i have with this Is that it should be integrated into APW. It shouldn't have to run on a different process. |
[2012-03-18] roee88: Dev notes *** SetiroN - It can't be part of APW because of the Android permissions system *** Regarding more posts: it is not possible with the current Google Reader app implementation. You can see the same behavior in Google's ICS widget. |
[2012-03-18] Sean: Very nice. Would be more functional to have refresh and configure on top bar rather than hidden behind a menu key. It doesn't load more items once you hit the bottom but hopefully Google will add an API to support this feature. Overall great looking and a massive improvement on the standard reader widget. |
[2012-03-14] michele: Happy :-) Great app |
[2012-03-14] samantha: FANTASTIC Completely perfect. Well, for me at least. I've had hours of fun on it. |
[2012-03-13] vly: Nice Great app. Wish it would automatically load more when you get to the bottom of the page. May be there's no API to do that? |
[2012-03-05] MOHAMED: Excellent Great app |
[2012-02-29] John: Not enough posts Doesn't show enough posts and doesn't let you load more. |
[2012-02-14] Bryan: Great app |
[2012-01-31] Rob: Almost perfect This widget nearly completes the domination of Android Pro Widgets on my home screens. I use it to show only unread items, so there are times when it is empty. This may be a theme issue, but using Modern ICS Dark, the "empty" background is nearly white and doesn't obey the transparency setting. Doesn't look very good vs. using the same dark background that the items would have (including transparency). Also, it would be great to be able to mark an item or all as read without having to open it in Google Reader. Sometimes I know I don't want to read it just by the headline. Otherwise, I love the addition of my Reader feeds on my home screen. |
[2012-01-15] Yousaf: Doesn't show enough posts It's nice but its kinda pointless if you have too many unread posts. It doesn't show many posts and doesn't load more posts once you've reached the bottom like the sense widget does. So I wind up just going into the google reader app anyway |
[2012-01-11] Anthony: Useful It does what I want it to do, and it does it well. |
[2012-01-09] Jonathan: gReader Support? I use the pro version of your apps and would love to be able to use this widget with other rss apps. I know that it would.probably be too hard to program it for a bunch but gReader is basically the stock Google reader (open source) with more options added. |
[2012-01-01] G: THE BEST!!! Google Reader team could buy it. Congratulations for respect the privacy of your users. Thanks for make Android stronger! |
[2011-12-20] none: Doesn't work |
[2011-12-10] Shane: Great widget Works pretty well. Like that it shows a small picture for each item. Unread only option doesn't work though. Shows nothing. |
[2011-12-08] Blahzae: WinDroidz awesome, an absolute must have for tablet my transformer loves you, and my Htc hD2 will too when launcher pro is obsolete on ICS just need the gmail and email widget back and a new Google+ stream widget |
[2011-12-01] John: Love it! 10x better than the ticker widget, and it does everything I want it to. |
[2011-11-17] StNick: Almost perfect! Would like to see ability to "Mark previous as read" on the widget so I don't have to re-read the headlines when I use Reader. |
[2011-11-02] J: Works great for what it is but can we get it to support other readers like gReader Pro? Or at the very least can the widget itself get a mark all as read button? |
[2011-10-25] Ian: Great addition Replaced one of my few non-APW widgets with this. Looks great and works perfect. |
[2011-10-23] bunder: Okay, but... I wish there was a 4x1 widget. |
[2011-10-16] JOnO: Greader pro support? Any chance of adding support for greader pro? |
[2011-09-30] Karl: used to work well with a "show only unread" option, now that doesn't work it means the widget just shows the same stuff all the time |
[2011-09-22] Manny: Good, but it needs more options, like changing font color. Also, better synching with google reader. |
[2011-09-20] Owen: Just what I've been looking for. Always wanted a proper feed widget for Google reader ans now I have it. Great that I can make it match my other APW Widgets. |
[2011-09-16] Asad: Great interface,best i hv used |
[2011-09-16] TheDave1022: Google reader sync needed Needs to sync from google reader app. |
[2011-09-05] John: Great widget! I like this widget very much. A great addition to the APW family. Feed images on a future release will be amazing. |
[2011-09-05] Swordfish: Feed images please. |
