[2012-01-01] Evan: Why isn't there a version for Toshiba Thrive? |
[2011-12-31] Richard: The ONLY PAY - FREE APP. DO NOT download. CRAP APP. You need to pay to read a few stupid articles. But the app is free... reading cost money. SAY GOODBYE!!! |
[2011-12-31] Chris: Constantly "Loading" The articles never appear. Better off using the wsj website. |
[2011-12-30] Kenny: Will not load Logged in and out se several times over the past week while on holiday. Only load headlines. Better to use web browser. |
[2011-12-28] Kevin: Needs to subscribe Even. |
[2011-12-28] Qaysar: Headlines Only!!! U can read the headlines only for free!!! User Interface is also not friendly for mobile phones. |
[2011-12-27] Miriam: Same as what you get on iPad If you are a subscriber to WSJ then you have full access to the app. You just have to log in. |
[2011-12-27] davriv79: No interest in paying For a one sided news report |
[2011-12-27] Gleb: Still shows ads to subscribers I did not pay for the advertisements to eat up 10% of my screen in landscape mode. Other than that, "share via twitter" freezes the app for several seconds. |
[2011-12-27] bgronek: WTF |
[2011-12-27] Lovell: Rip Off When we have other options for a more balanced news approach, including US and foreign english speaking media, it makes no sense to subscribe or pay for a poor media presentation like the WSJ mobile edition. We regularly watch your sister media FNC which we choose over CNN and other news sources: sadly, the regular WSJ presenter there also has poor presentation--stop the grovelling! |
[2011-12-25] Paul: Online subscriber, but doesn't grant me full access |
[2011-12-24] goober: 99% of stories are locked; no money, no get to read. never seems to remember one's log in; constantly begging one to subscribe. a royal PITA. |
[2011-12-23] wyz: Unacceptable font I am a subscribe and I don't mind paying. But the font is not acceptable, even if it is free |
[2011-12-22] Russell: I should have read the comments before installing, because the negative ones are spot on. Why would I get an online subscription for WSJ when I can get several other major papers on my phone for free? |
[2011-12-22] Julia: Slowwww Incredibly slow - takes far too long to scroll through articles and open a selected story. Seems like its faster to do online. |
[2011-12-22] HO: Hate... How come this informative app requires me to pay for subscription without telling me anything in the market? I think I should delete this useless app as soon as possible..... |
[2011-12-21] Abraham: Free?? Eh Why write free when it actually costs money?! |
[2011-12-19] jessica: Lame Don't bother, they want you to pay. Why offer the free app if you don't plan on letting it be usable? Shady! |
[2011-12-19] Matt: Ice Cream Sandwich support Needs support for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus running Android 4.0. |

[2011-12-14] Jorge: Working great. Yeap...I have my WSJ subscription. Everything working great on Samsung Captivate with Froyo. |

[2011-12-11] joe: I do not understand the problem. I am a. WSJ subscriber w/online subscription. I used my online login and it worked perfectly. |
[2011-12-08] Martin: What is all the complaining about? I logged right in with my normal WSJ online ID. The app is far more user friendly than the New York Times' app. |
[2011-12-07] Erik: Have to pay, even with subscription The meter will not continue reading if you go to another app, so you can't have it read to you while you're doing something else on your phone. |
[2011-12-07] Krisztian: It is so bad, I am cancelling my online subscription |
[2011-12-07] Tim: Why does it auto load even though I don't have a user name yet? You know who else auto loads, spyware. Uninstalling. |

[2011-11-22] Darnell: Great Easy to use, excellent articles. Subscription required. |
[2011-11-22] David: Another subscription is required! My WSJ online subscription is not good enough to use with the app! I have to pay for yet another subscription! Talk about gouging your customers. |
[2011-11-21] Joseph: Useless Digital subscriber, can't access articles. |
[2011-11-20] Jim: Additional fee for existing subscribers?! Ripoff. I am already online subscriber, paying a pretty penny for the info, and Dow Jones wants me to pay even more for access via app? Uninstalled. |
[2011-11-20] Josh: Expensive As a digital subscriber I will not pay again via app. Uninstalled. |

[2011-11-14] Andrew: . You only get the partial article until you pay for a membership |
[2011-11-14] Jovica: Not able to read whole article even after I logged in. Should I pay another $103 annually, don't think so. |
[2011-11-08] Ron: No effort put in this app It is very clear that the wsj only put time into the I pad app their android app blows save your money and skip this app |

[2011-10-30] J: ADs even if you are a paid subscriber Why does it still have advertisements even though I am a paid subscriber? Poorly thought out. Works good enough. Negative reviews make little sense. |
[2011-10-28] wanderer: Ver 1.1.1 Works fine. Access screen has 2 buttons: subscribe &login. Used my online loginok No additional subscription was required. |
[2011-10-27] Justin: Good app I like the widget to get headlines then can go right to full story, nice on the go |

[2011-10-25] Sandro: Excellent. |
[2011-10-25] Dallas: Only works on old android OS After many phone calls, downloads and much tinkering, I finally figured out that WSJ simply does not have this app ready for the latest android OS. (Some of their telephone support people actually know this. Not all of them.) That's why all these complaints. It would be much appreciated if they would have just said that up front and saved us all the trouble. Its not too late for them to do so and also to notify us when it is ready for the latest android OS. |
[2011-10-23] Don: Works great My WSJ password worked fine. Columns loaded fast. Maybe it's my Bionic. |
[2011-10-20] the 10/20/2011 Crashes daily Loading the news details is slow, and crashes often. Pity, the excellent content would deserve a robust app. |
[2011-10-20] Justin: Expensive 5 stars to 2 stars because they made the app a separate subscription. |
[2011-10-18] Dan: Sucks I subscribe to online version. Cheapasses won't give access to mobile version. Very disappointing. |
[2011-10-18] the 10/19/2011 Not free Use your browser instead of paying them for this app |
[2011-10-17] the 10/17/2011 Lame Doesn't load articles fully. Asked for a separate subscription even though I'm already an online subscriber. |
[2011-10-17] Nick: Horrible. I was told when subscribing to the Journal that I would be getting print, online, and mobile access. The app won't give me access. |
[2011-10-15] Paul: Paul Trashy, due to obnoxious ads. Accessing the WSJ site on a browser provides better layout, more functionality, and, can block ads. |
[2011-10-13] Stefan: Awful Requires login to read free articles. When tapping search button it just shows "search" in a pop-up. No actual search function. |

[2011-10-12] Vickie: It takes forever to load photos even with WiFi. But just discovered that app has added voice reader! Cool option for trying to read on a bus |
[2011-10-07] fu: Still need to subscribe twice Still need to subscribe twice. Not sure why people are saying they don't have to suscribe twice to view content. I've had n online subscription for ye |
[2011-10-07] John: Ads! really?!? I had no problem accessing content with my subscription as some people have. But I expected ads to disappear. if I already pay, no ads! |

[2011-10-05] JB: Still need extra subscription Still need extra subscription to use droid phone app. I have a digital sub and can use that for web and iPad access but WSJ wants an extra $52 / year. |
[2011-10-04] pseudodude: Why do I need two subscriptions? I have an online account to WSJ already but after logging in they still want me to buy a $52 dollar extra subscription. 1 account and a browser. |

[2011-10-02] David: Nice App. but why am I paying again? I already pay for the online WSJ, and I am expected to pay to use this app. I'll create a shortcut to the online version and use a web browser. |

[2011-09-27] the 9/29/2011 Dumb people are ruining this market Complaining about this app not being free is like rating a restaurant poorly because your meal wasn't free. WSJ is a subscription based membership. |
