Looks like it was designed by my 90 year old grandpa Wow. The Seattle Times app SUCKS. They are the newspaper that managed to stay open in Seattle, but the P.I. (which is now like 6 employees in a shack by the railroad tracks) has an app that is about 150 times better, easier to use and more pleasing to look at (not great, but still much, much better). Geez, check out the Google News app (to see one that exemplifies an intuitive user interface), and then maybe hire someone who actually has a smart phone to redesign your app.

Not impressed, also, your app sucks This is like one of those apps that is the exact same as a website but as a app. There is absolutely no indication of when a page is loading and evrything is just links. No buttons, just links. Please improve this app or at least hire a company to do it for you. I am not impressed with this app and it hardly makes reading the seattle times more accesiable. Or easier. I would rather just carry around the actual paper then use your app. -An honest review

Interaction design 101 The app delivers articles, so at least it works. That said, it violates even the most basic rules of interaction design. First, there is no feedback when you touch a link to an article. Is it frozen? It it loading? Who knows. Second, it is styled like a web page, not a native app. Links instead of buttons. Ignores decide font styles... Finally, it does no precaching or caching so every user action means a round trip to the server, which is none too fast.

Pretty Underwhelming Stories take too long to load, and too long to return to the section you're reading. Just like the actual paper ... pretty underwhelmimg.

Rooted and clean I'm rooted using AdFree so i don't really have any issues w/ adverts. Nice coverage. I like the minimalistic design; clean and sleek. Bonus star for emphasizing the article over the photos! I still like the Times on World Newspapers and will go back if ads start showing up like the others have mentioned; 'til then!

Flashing, intrusive ads Was ok until they added flashing, intrusive ads. Uninstalled.

Just OK Good selection of news and features. Slow to react to commands. Frequently does nothing when you select an article or section. Go back button takes forever. Needs work, but the Times is on the right track.
