Getting better.... Appears to be working again on my HTC Desire HD. I'll give it a few days to see if the fix is permanent. When it works it is a very handy app - when it works.

Terrible! Really should be reading the negative comments and fixing the app. So frustrating it just freezes constantly. I use sky news and another app for my info now. You could also do with updating your website more often. Always yesterday news when everyone else is current

More like a downgrade I have recently upgraded the rte news app for android and the auto hide of the top and bottom menu bars makes it really annoying to read. Also when you now go back to the main page you have to scroll back down from the top. The upgrades seem to me to have ruined what was a great news app and taken it a step backwards.

Menus and jumping Not a great upgrade. Menus are a pain the way they always return to the top after reading a story The way stories load is also frustrating - jumping around the screen while pics etc load. Please fix.

Fair Recent update means that it freezes if you touch the screen too soon after going to a new article. Also, I have never seen so many spelling mistakes and typos, and I taught English in Japan.

Please roll back this update! I hate the way it resizes the article & the way it goes back to the first article on the list of news articles. It fails to open on 3G signal about 8/10 of the time, Wifi is better, but it can still fail to open on Wifi too, it just ficks the RTE NEWS NOW logo across the screen. Only way to stop it is to kill it in task manager. I find to clear the data from the app in task manager fixes it for a while again. Using Samsung Galxay S

Used to be great, until recent update Needs a force close within a few minutes after opening. If there was a way to uninstall recent updates I would, but now my only option is to uninstall entire App. Disappointing as was a great app before the update.

Great app but... This app is fantastic for quickly glancing over the news. However when you go back out of a news story you're sent to the top of the pile, which gets very annoying. 5 stars if this gets fixed.

Problems with this update I use this app daily. I'd like to repeat what other reviews are saying. After reading a story and returning to the story list, the scroll position is lost. After opening a story the top and bottom bar disappear (good) and the position of the article moves up slightly (bad). Apart from these two points, good app.

Irritating As described by other reviewers the position of text in articles moves as controls scroll out of view. This is distracting when reading. Also, after reading an article the readers position in the list of articles is lost as the list reverts to the top on return. Are pictures really needed for every article?

Poor update, stay with older version Old version was waaaayyyy better. The app navigation is now broken, it doesn't remember your position when you return to the story list. The disappearing header and footer cause the text to be moved, making it annoying to have to find the start of the story again. Good intentions, but very poorly implemented and tested :( will be reverting

Update is backdated Your update is terrible. I wish I didn't accept it. When you go into an article and start reading it, the page moves a bit once the advertising goes off the screen-so annoying and throws you off what your reading. Then when you come out of the article instead of being brought back to where you were it brings you back to the top and you have to scroll through everything again. Come on guys get it fixed!!
