Readingo for Instapaper (DEV) (v. 0.0.17) Разработано Martin Adamek |
Development version of yet another Instapaper client for Android, but this time using official Instapaper API.
This app requires Instapaper $1/month subscription (for anything other than adding new bookmark). It is forced by official Instapaper API. Read more at http://blog.instapaper.com/post/3208433429
NOTE: this is unstable snapshot of my development work. Install only if you are able to accept problems here and there, accept frequent updates and if you will to provide some feedback.

Features:
- using official Instapaper API (that means no cheating on Marco (Instapaper author) and that's also reason why you need an Instapaper subscription)
- XAuth for authentication
- Send to Instapaper from any app on your phone
- Integration with Android system's Accounts & sync (allows background sync)
- Listing/syncing all folders
- Like/Unlike, Archive/Unarchive, Delete, Share, View in browser actions
- Move to SD card support
- Dark theme option
- Missing something? Let me know, I am prioritizing tasks by user feedback.
Limitations:
* image cache is not yet available
* only HDPI screens are really supported for now (on smaller some graphics might look fuzzy)
Every build will expire one month after it was published in the Market. Then it has to be replaced by following build, eventually by paid version once things will become stable. Active users providing feedback will get it for free, of course.

[2011-09-12] Carl: Build expired and no replacement. Not cool. |
|
[2011-08-17] todd.: Good & getting better. My biggest missing feature is position sync. But very well done so far. Love that it uses the API. |
|
[2011-08-14] SLi: Doesn't sync |
|
[2011-07-24] jimrin: Doesn't sync. x10 mini Android 2.1 |

[2011-07-16] Bruno: To hell with instapaper, you have to pay to use, moved to Readitlater. This app seems fine. |
|
[2011-07-09] Alan: This is the best Instapaper app for android, no doubt. The interface is clean and closely approximates the iOS version, and it uses the official API. |
|
[2011-07-05] Lichi: Best Instapaper client Make no mistake, this is hands down the best Instapaper client available. I've tried them all including the paid ones. The second best is InstaFetch but it's slow a HECK if you have a large collection of entries. I'd be gladly pay for this app should it start picking up development speed. Hell, I'd pay for it now as it is. |
|
[2011-05-14] the 6/19/2011 Simple, clean UI. This is definitely my favorite Android Instapaper client. |
|
[2011-05-09] Калоян Доганов: The most promising Instapaper client out there. Obviously not finished yet, but may reach perfection if the author continues to love it. |
|
[2011-05-04] Natasha: Needs subscription which is $1 a month! Thee are other free apps which works fine. |
|
[2011-05-04] Martin Adamek: @natasha It requires subscription because it uses official Instapaper API. There is no other legal way to do it. |
|
[2011-04-23] Rufo: Server Error: Subscription Account Required. Can login but can't view any of my bookmarks. myTouch 4G |
|
[2011-04-22] McKenzie: Works great for an early version. Needs night mode, sharing, appstosd, etc. Add text to speech and you'll really have a winner. Nexus one |
|
[2011-04-21] jhughes: Simple, clean, nice design I've tried many other Android Instapaper clients, but many of them have been slow, crashy, and poorly designed. While this one doesn't have that many features yet, it has an appealingly simple design, and synced properly and quickly. |
|
[2011-03-23] LuckMan212: Didn't do anything on my HTC Thunderbolt. How do I use this thing? |
