Worthless since it won't open! Whoever is responsible for the Oregonian's apps should perform due diligence testing prior to offering apps to the public. This app and the Oregon Ducks app offered by the Oregonian do not work on many types of phones. Why offer untested apps that only frustrate folks? I thought the Oregonian was better than this.

Uses to much battery I would love to keep this app but it consistently uses 6-8% of battery whereas other news apps use around 1%. That is using it twice a day! UI and provided info is good, I just can't deal with the drain. I will try again after an update. On an HTC One X.

What a pain in the @ss Annoying pop up asking for zipcode EVERY time it opens. And you can see that the articles have already loaded behind it but you cannot read them. And the stupid app cannot remember the zip code. Dumb design and why the extra effort? It's the oregonian not a real news site so really not worth the extra step.

Very intuitive and everything's there Newspaper just can't be delivered in my neck of Oregon's woods before 6:30am when I want to read it. Reluctantly, I may have to cancel the subscription and was worried I'd miss out on the news from Portland. This android app was a very pleasant surprise. I expected an abridged version of the paper with things like the obituaries, classifieds, etc. left out. But everything seems to be included. I am very pleased with the UI. It's intuitive, easy to scan an article or read deeper, easy to skip from section to section. Ads at the bottom of the screen are not intrusive. Missing ads inserts and coupons? Because I live three hours from Portland, most of the these are recycled anyway. And the price for the subscription is right; home delivery of the dead tree addition is around $80 a month!
