International Herald Tribune (v. 1.5.0) Разработано International Herald Tribune |
From Paris, Hong Kong and New York, the International Herald Tribune app for Android provides a fresh and original take on the world’s daily news. Drawing on its global newsgathering operation with The New York Times, the IHT selects the international news, business, culture, style, sports and opinion articles that tell you what is happening around the world and what it means.
• World news articles are fully refreshed for the Europe and Asia mornings, and the app includes a Latest News section from global.nytimes.com to keep you updated on the breaking stories that matter throughout the day.
• The comprehensive Business with Reuters section provides market and company news and analysis, and helps you connect the dots in global finance and economics.
• Heavy-hitting columnists like Roger Cohen, Thomas L. Friedman and Nobel prize-winner Paul Krugman appear alongside a revolving cast of influential and provocative global thinkers in the must-read Views section.
• Culture & Style takes you to fascinating corners of the international art, film, theater, design, music and literature worlds, and Suzy Menkes offers unrivaled coverage of fashion, from the catwalks of Europe to the shopping malls of Brazil.
•Soccer, golf, tennis, Formula One racing, rugby, cricket, baseball, football and athletics are all there in the world Sports section, along with the passionate and insightful journalism of Rob Hughes and Christopher Clarey.
•The Day in Pictures slideshow beautifully captures the human angle to the day’s events with photography from around the world, and the Video section includes the best international videos from global.nytimes.com
The app is free to download and our Front Page, Videos and Day In Pictures sections are free to browse. To get full access to this app, try an IHT digital subscription. For just $15 per month you'll get unlimited access to the IHT's range of smartphone apps plus full access to NYTimes.com from any device. Order now and get your first 2 weeks for free!

[2013-09-01] A Google User: Can't even login Best way to lose a customer is this - not allowing paying customer to login! |
[2013-06-29] A Google User: Fail ENDLESS prompts to log in with my NYTimes account....over and over and... |
[2013-05-21] A Google User: Portal to locked NY times stories No real content |
[2013-05-18] A Google User: article update taking ages Article update is hopeless. You want to immediately uninstall it. I have never been able to update the article by trying once. You need to do it repeatedly for 3-4 times. That is upsetting. However articles are good. I would happily give 5 stars despite update issues if the exact replica of newspaper were provided.I wonder why can they not make it at least equal to the app store version of it. |
[2013-04-28] A Google User: Primitive I see that I'm not the only one who was confused. Once I figured out that a subscription to IHT is not the same as a subscription to NYT, I got the correct app installed. The publisher confuses the issue by accepting your login on both apps, but only revealing the content on the one you subscribed to. Once I figured how to log in to IHT (not intuitive), the app works, but its a fairly primitive app for a world class newspaper. Not impressive - I much prefer the web site which is included in the subscription. I wouldn't pay for a subscription just for the mobile app. |
[2013-04-23] A Google User: Subscriptions are frustrating I have a subscription to the nyt and iht, and I keep logging in to this app, but it never registers that I'm logged in. I have logged in 3 times now, but it still locks many articles. I'm not sure what the problem is, because I can log in just fine in the nyt app. |
[2013-04-18] A Google User: Can't log in! After I touch a locked article, I'm taken to a login page. After entering email and password, I go back to the Lissy of article, where another touch takes me to the login page. Ad infinitum. |
[2013-04-09] A Google User: Disappointed The articles look Ok which is the main thing but the front page has tiny fonts which are quite hard to read. Doesn't look like the app of a commercially serious company. A lot of free official apps are better. But this is my favourite daily so hopefully it'll be soon improved. In the meantime, cancelled subscription and un installing. |
[2013-03-29] A Google User: Crapware As noter by others, totally useless and misleading! |
[2013-02-18] A Google User: Fairly primitive interface, clearly aimed solely at phones Compares poorly to other apps with tablet functionality. |
[2012-12-22] A Google User: Moneygrubbing rag. Uninstall. |
[2012-12-16] A Google User: Not impressed I have a subscription but why should I have to constantly log on to read each article. The software needs to be greatly improved. ÌHT should aim to provide customer satisfaction - it falls short of that presently. |
[2012-12-16] A Google User: Can't get any articles "There was an error getting articles" is all that happens when I try to refresh. |
[2012-12-15] A Google User: Confusing and underwhelming Bought a trial subscription for the IHT, thinking it would give me access to the NYT app as well (it gives you access to NYT on the web). Apparently not. Downloaded this app instead, and let me say, this app for the IHT looks like it hasn't been updated in a hundred years, the font size isn't adjustable and the graphics look outdated. Hardly worth $10 a month, cancelled my subscription immediately. Get your act together. |
[2012-12-12] A Google User: Little content I see only three articles. Most of the rest are locked unless you pay -- even their blog. Give me a break! |
[2012-11-03] A Google User: Un-unlockable, even for subscribers Can't unlock, keeps returning to login screen. NYT app does work, providing same content |
[2012-10-28] A Google User: Most locked Don't bother, most articles locked. Download BBC instead. |
[2012-10-06] A Google User: New version does not install on my HTC wildfire. Older version much better. This app is a disgrace for the IHT |
[2012-09-29] A Google User: Crapware Shows many articles, but need to "subscribe" to see most of them. Nasty misleadware. |
[2012-09-01] A Google User: Serious problem with v1.5.0 The articles no longer update on my phone. It was fine before the update. The update dialogue just pops up, downloads to 20%, then no more. And after cancelling, it freezes. Fix it. |
[2012-08-18] A Google User: Not compatible with tablets Subscription available from Web site only works on android phones. Incompatible with tablets. Customer service at NY Times confirmed and don't have a date for tablet compatible subscriptions. Seems more than foolish to me. |
[2012-07-21] A Google User: Does not work I can log in to the bad NYT app with no problem. When i attempt to open a locked article here it says it is unlocking but does not. Using 10 inch Samsung tab. |
[2012-06-26] A Google User: Great app Great journalism, now with mobile access. |
[2012-05-06] A Google User: Avoid! This app, as many others have pointed out, is badly broken. Currently, all the articles are 2 weeks old and there are no pictures. |
