GoodNews is a news reader (RSS/Atom) and audio podcast player which fully synchronizes with the famous Google Reader. GoodNews has a modern user interface which provides a lot of professional and unique news reader features including offline support (incl. images), the automatic push of local changes, read list, subscription grouping in the article list, mark read on scroll over, automatically closing views, volume button navigation and a lot more. Fantastic Reader! This is amazing! A beautiful combination of a text reader and podcast player in one that works with Google Reader. I can finally listen to NPR podcasts, read the local paper, and get any other feed all in one place. Extremely customizable. Only thing that I can't find is how to actually add/remove subscriptions to Google Reader from within the app, but still easily gets 5 stars. Best one I've seen. Will be testing a little more and then probably buying the pro version. Thanks dev!

Great Reader App This app gets it. I was looking for an app that would play the podcasts I subscribe to in Reader in the background. This does that and so much more. You can even put them in a play list and read other articles while listening. Runs great and renders the stuff that needs rendering better than Reader. Highly recommended, and if you have the money pay for it to support the devs.

If you use Google Reader, you need this app A review on the Pro License actually said it best, "It has features you didn't know you needed." I thought I was happy with the official Reader app and tolerated Listen when it was around, but this app exceeds handily both of those and looks good doing it. It's the best (audio) podcast app available in my view, and makes using Reader a joy instead of the pain it used to be. I didn't need the pro features and bought them anyway, worth it for such a well-done project. I came back just to edit this review to mention that I'm still in love with the app after months of use.

Great offline reader I download the feeds in the morning and used it on the subway (pre sandy). Great app, but could use a few improvements: I get issues with white boxes appearing over the content on long posts, there are zooming problems and centering issues. This doesn't effect all blogs, but enough to be annoying.

Must have app for podcast listeners Work is advertise and is pretty slick to boot. Has the features you need and none of the fluff. Keep everything organized and in the correct play order. The only thing keeping this from getting 5 stars is the offline download only seems to work if you add the feeds to the playlist. Would love the option to choose which folders to download for offline listening. Other than that, a great app. Well worth upgrading to the pro license, but completely functional as is.

Bafflingly complex It was easy enough to get it to download my list of podcast subscriptions from Google Reader. But I could never figure out how to get it to download the actual podcasts, so that I could listen later while offline.

Great app Smooth and good looking dark theme. Only thing I can't do is unsubscribe from feeds from within app (minor nitpick). Only other improvement is making syncing faster, it isn't slow but it's slower than Google Reader (which probably does it incrementally, to give the illusion of being faster, rather than all at once)

Like it so far Love its use of Readability. :) Suggestions: 1. Display favicons for feeds 2. Allow REALLY compact list mode so that more headlines can be viewed in a page without scrolling. Too much scroll-down now for me. 3. Allow prioritisation of sync for certain feeds so that all their unreads are downloaded first, before other feeds.

Great app, needs a lot of work on offline mode though Downloading offline content is really slow (even if there are 10 unread items, not to mention of queue of hundreds). There is no way to control this process or prioritize it. For me (since my tablet doesnt't have 3g and I like to read on the go) that's really important.

Favorite App for Syncing w/ Google Reader I've used several apps before findng this one and nearly all had overdone or unnatractively simple designs. The navigation is simple and being able to listen to audio podcasts is a plus. My only hope is that podcasts with video become supported too, for a complete package.

No full article/pics download! Does a honest job at retrieving RSS feeds, nice interface, but doesn't download more than the standard summary. I need my reader to download the full article with pictures so I don't have to click and wait, provided I'm not offline... Swapped for EasyRSS which does all this and more.
