[2013-01-05] A Google User: Really good It is the best Reddit app I have used but I don't like that I can't open links (to read later in pocket it or such) in the comments in my browser, if I select open in browser it just force closes. |
[2013-01-04] A Google User: Horrible Ads are in the premium version. |
[2013-01-03] A Google User: Almost perfect Great app but crashes from time to time. A patch is needed. |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: Brilliant on nexus 7 My favorite reddit app. The interface is simple and intuitive. Ad free premium version is worth the small price. |
[2013-01-01] A Google User: Fix it. when you try to go into the web to view a pic, it force closes. Can you fix this A.S.A.P? This is starting to annoy me. I'm about to switch to an alternative. |
[2013-01-01] A Google User: No Data Everytime I get on it says no data, yet Reddit is working Just fine. Please fix. |
[2013-01-01] A Google User: Recent update is completely broken |
[2012-12-31] A Google User: The only choice when it comes time to reddit apps! You just can't go wrong with this app! |
[2012-12-30] A Google User: Great App This is the best reddit app. Love it. |
[2012-12-30] A Google User: Dark theme is light gray Developer insists on making lights out theme light gray instead of pure black like other apps. Grey doesn't save battery like black does, they're missing the point |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Great Needs ability to save comments... not just posts |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Great app, sans "readability" integration This remains the best app for browsing reddit, but the most recent update integrated "readability," which I find finicky and a burden to the experience. I am unable to read certain links due to readability, and the program will crash when I try to back out of said links. I much preferred it without readability integration. |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: buggy Whenever I click open in browser the whole app crashes, and to save any pics you have to open the image in the browser. The built in browser also doesn't work for a lot of web pages and articles. |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Love tablet ui! Please add sync functionality. I prefer bacon reader to reddit sync, but have to use the latter on the subway. |
[2012-12-27] A Google User: Can't Fault It Intuitive, clean interface. Easy to navigate between articles, images. No noticeable lag or force closing issues. Definitely worth the money and a great way to browse Reddit! |
[2012-12-23] A Google User: Good App With Recurring Issues One star. Added ads to premium app, screw that. The old issue of pages loading and going to a white screen while opening in app is back with a vengeance. Also tons of forcecloses Uninstall |
[2012-12-20] A Google User: Excellent app. Aside from alien blue, which is not even available for Android, this is the best mobile reddit app available. Newest update has some issues with readability, when trying to menu > open in browser, this crashes the app every time on my GS3. I am sure it is a teething issue coming from adding the readability functionality. Which is awesome btw. |
[2012-12-19] A Google User: Crashing Lately If I'm viewing a link inside of the internal browser then try to go external, the whole app locks up. |
[2012-12-19] A Google User: Very buggy Updates will break features and cause crashes. No other app I have force closes. |
[2012-12-19] A Google User: Tablet layout The v2.5 tablet layout is fuckin nice. |
[2012-12-19] A Google User: Newest update breaks feature. You can no longer select "Open in Browser", without the app crashing. |
[2012-12-19] A Google User: Yep Its nice |
[2012-12-19] A Google User: Gets the job done. |
[2012-12-18] A Google User: Readability? More like unusable. With the recent readability update my bacon has stopped frying that is to say that readability has made it worse. I cannot see images on links and force closes on Web browser. I would love to use bacon again, and I know there is an option to turn it off but I don't know why it would be standard to have it on. |
[2012-12-17] A Google User: Do I have to say it? ADS! There are few things I detest more than having the privileges I paid for gone without explanation nor prompt restitution. Update: OneLouder has replied to my complaint, and I accept the apology included in said reply. Accordingly, I'm modifying my rating from 1 to 4 stars, because the apology was firm, and without lame excuses. I am re-installing, and will re-evaluate and rate again soon. Thanks. |
[2012-12-17] A Google User: Crash issues Crashes when you open a link in external browser. Using Dolphin Hd. |
[2012-12-17] A Google User: Love it but... I keep getting this Readability app crap every time I use the in app browser. Nexus 10 |
[2012-12-16] A Google User: Crashes Every Time Whenever you go to open the browser to view anything. Other than that, it's a capable Reddit viewer. |
[2012-12-16] A Google User: Latest update questionable When opening some pages it directs through a "Power by readability" Page, If the link has a video it is not the video site. Will be switching to an alternative until this is fixed. |
[2012-12-15] A Google User: Great, but... Can you please remove the submitter from the front page of the postings. It's not that I don't care about the submitter, but it makes the layout really cluttered and hard to read. It's also hard to see the subreddit the it's submitted in to. |
[2012-12-14] A Google User: Best reddit reader! Especially the new tablet mode is a very nice addition |
[2012-12-13] A Google User: Not good enough App crashes when trying to open in browser. Quickly beginning to regret buying this app. |
[2012-12-13] A Google User: Great Reddit I haven't found a found another app that makes surfing Reddit so easily. |
[2012-12-13] A Google User: Great! Definitely beats the mobile site! This app has everything that I need to make my Reddit browsing experience what I want it to be! The only addition that I would ask for is that instead of a loading wheels for when you load images, please bring back the progress bar. Thanks devs for making this app what it is today! |
[2012-12-13] A Google User: Tablet ui Last upgrade is great, but I wish you used the "sliding panel" ui element for subreddit column. |
[2012-12-13] A Google User: Great Nice and easy to use. |
[2012-12-12] A Google User: New look is fricken awesome! |
[2012-12-12] A Google User: Great |
[2012-12-12] A Google User: Paid app has ads now?! I paid for this app and now I'm having to deal with ads that you get with the free app?! Why even buy this garbage then?! |
[2012-12-12] A Google User: Great app but The new update is great but adding the usernames makes it look too cluttered to me. Please add an option to take away the usernames from the posts. |
[2012-12-12] A Google User: Still love this app, but have a peeve about the newest update. Can we get rid of the usernames under the titles on the frontpage? It's not that I don't care who the poster is (though, I don't), but what I want to see is the subreddit and website. The op's username isn't very important and adding It just gives a cluttered look. At least move it for the sake of aesthetics. |
[2012-12-11] A Google User: Crash Error submitting a link after entering in Captcha |
[2012-12-08] A Google User: Uninstalled I was one of the first beta users of baconreader and hugely recommended it/supported it/donated and bought it immediately. Since then the design has changed, the app size has increased and the responsiveness has drastically been reduced. As sad as I am to say it, this is no longer the app I initially loved, so I've uninstalled it. Devs: take a look at Reddit Sync; that guy is doing an amazing job of delivering a proper app. |
[2012-12-06] A Google User: Good but flawed Used to be good, now I'm seeing posts double and I'm not able to scroll down without jumping to the top. |
[2012-12-06] A Google User: Best way to access Reddit on the phone. The best way I could find to access Reddit on my phone and tablet. Not a fan of the on screen arrow keys and I have not found a way to disable them. Sometimes when it attempts to load a bunch more of items after a long browsing session it will slow down a bit but noting too bad. Kind of buggy on my fire but I'll live. |
[2012-12-05] A Google User: Almost there, just one more issue to fix The update was much appreciated, but the issue of imgur links not loadig correctly until I tilt my phone to landscape mode or vice versa still presists. Get that fixed and you'll have my undying gratitude (along with five stars). |
[2012-12-05] A Google User: Much better since the update... Thanks guys! |
[2012-12-05] A Google User: Best! Best reddit app hands down. Very intuitive and functional. |
[2012-12-04] A Google User: Really awesome update guys. Just about everything is faster and more fluid. Load times have been dramatically decreased, and I don't hardly have to wait to get back from my links. Very attentive with your updates. The easiest way to reddit on android! |
[2012-12-04] A Google User: Made a good app great. Ads in premium version? Would like this taken off, please. |
[2012-12-04] A Google User: Best option Easy to use & responsive |
[2012-12-04] A Google User: Fast fixes! Thanks for the quick update I'm happy again but please screen updates a little better so I don't have to stop using your app for a week again. |
[2012-12-04] A Google User: Fixed Much better now. Thanks. |
[2012-12-04] A Google User: Great! Performance issues fixed by the latest update. Thanks to the devs for being so responsive! Still needs a "my liked posts" page, though. |
[2012-12-04] A Google User: Perfect app This app makes browsing Reddit so much easier on my phone. Love it! |
[2012-12-04] A Google User: My favorite reddit app Everything works great and I love the interface. The only problem is I always get errors when trying to post or comment. Will rate 5 stars when fixed |
[2012-12-03] A Google User: Used to be better Ever since the new interface update a while back, baconreader has not been as responsive or quick. There are still a few force close issues. Please tune it up. Thank you |
[2012-12-03] A Google User: Fixed New update works great! |
[2012-12-03] A Google User: Back to 5 stars Thanks for getting a fix out so quickly for the issues in the last update. Performance is top notch now and the app runs like a dream again. Nice one. |
[2012-12-02] A Google User: Crashes allot App is crashing every time I try to add a custom subreddit |
[2012-12-02] A Google User: Very Slow |
[2012-11-30] A Google User: Nexus 7 Working annoyingly slow now, takes forever to go back for some reason. |
[2012-11-29] A Google User: Great app only one small issue Would be nearly perfect if it would quit trying to open every pic I save in an external viewer needs option just to download and not open |
[2012-11-28] A Google User: Needs better updating I liked this app enough to buy the premium version, yet it seems that every update makes it slower and more prone to crashes. Won't be using it as my daily Reddit reader anymore, but will be checking back and hoping it returns to its former glory. |
[2012-11-27] A Google User: Disappointed Did the last update support Jelly Bean and screw everyone else? Everything is extremely slow to load especially coming from a post or link back to a list. Please fix and make this app worth the money! |
[2012-11-27] A Google User: Abysmal performance Latest update has killed performance. Once you load more than one page it gets slower and slower. |
[2012-11-27] A Google User: Very niiiiiiice. Very niiiiiiice Only problem is that inbox icon lights up randomly |
[2012-11-27] A Google User: Bad update. Do not download. Last update causes phone to lock up constantly and notifications never work. Use Reddit Is Fun instead. |
[2012-11-27] A Google User: Decent but meh Its not as visually appealing as reddit sync or reddit news app. However u can search subreddits and load comments better in this app. |
[2012-11-27] A Google User: Very responsive development team The developers of this app are always very quick to respond to valid issues. Having said that, I've noticed in the latest release that returning to the app from a linked site (imgur, in particular) seems to get very slow over time. The screen blacks-out, and then (4+ seconds), the app returns to the list of articles. Previous review: An annoying pair of bugs slipped into the previous release, prompting a slew of poor reviews. The development team fixed it within hours and it is working perfectly again. I'm impressed with the responsiveness of the development team. |
[2012-11-26] A Google User: Slow Since the update it got noticeably slower. Backing out of the comments and going to the main page takes longer now |
[2012-11-26] A Google User: Newest update Newest update sucks |
[2012-11-26] A Google User: Fantastic, but Tablet mode has a black bar down the bottom when reading a story. |
[2012-11-25] A Google User: November update killed it Used to love browsing reddit with this app. After the last November update, it's slow a hell. Once they fix that, it will be great again. |
[2012-11-25] A Google User: Ads in premium? Not acceptable!!! Latest version is trying to show ads. Since I have an ad-blocker, I'm left with a black empty bar. I paid!!! |
[2012-11-25] A Google User: Really need to fix the crashing problem. Loads really slow and when it finally does it crashes. |
[2012-11-24] A Google User: Bad update. I'd enjoyed this app for several months. The one bug that always got me was that imgur links failed to load half of the time, I would just get the loading screen until I backed up and tried again. That was annoying. Now they updated the app and not only does my imgur problem remain, it now takes 5-30 seconds to load a list. Not sure why they let this update out of the door. |
[2012-11-24] A Google User: Downgrade Insanely slow after the last update. Revert or fix the issue! |
[2012-11-24] A Google User: Slow The slowness of this app is unbearable since the last update. Please offer previous version while you get this solved. You are messing with Reddit addicts here. |
[2012-11-24] A Google User: Great App but Latest Update Stinks This has been the best reddit app for a long time. It has always worked great but a recent update has caused it to be almost unusable. Pictures seem to take 20-30 seconds to load now, it crashes frequently, and imgur albums sometimes dont even load at all. Please fix this and its back to a five star app! |
[2012-11-23] A Google User: Slow Absurdly slow after update. |
[2012-11-23] A Google User: Loved the app, then the latest update happened. Laggy, lots of force closing, 15 to 25 second delay going from a post back to main subreddit or front page. C'mon guys. The break and Facebook apps aren't even this bad. Once issue is fixed, I will re-rate. |
[2012-11-23] A Google User: After the update... It has been much slower. Freezes for around 10 seconds every time I load a new page of posts. Was much faster before the update. Droid 4. |
[2012-11-23] A Google User: Crashes every time I post setting |
[2012-11-23] A Google User: I don't know anymore Use to really love this app, but seems like every other update now days is just a catastrophe. Think I'm gonna go with a different app for a while. Maybe I'll come back, and give it another shot in a few months. |
[2012-11-22] A Google User: Has gotten really slow Been using baconreader without issues on my razrmaxx until this latest build. Very slow to load images and open threads. Excruciatingly slow to go back to front when clicking back (its always been slow by 2-3 sec but now its nearly ten... Im sure dev team will fix it though.. I hope they do. Keep up the good work, |
[2012-11-22] A Google User: Reddit made easy. This is an amazing app when it's in proper form. Since update I'm unable to add custom subreddits (crashes). and load times are a bit longer than normal. Please correct for a 5 Devs. |
[2012-11-22] A Google User: Ads in premium I'm getting ads on the premium version since the last update. Please fix. |
[2012-11-21] A Google User: New version super slow Updated and now it's super slow. EVO 4G lte |
[2012-11-21] A Google User: SLOW! The latest version is much slower than previous versions. |
[2012-11-21] A Google User: Slow Update made it very slow. |
[2012-11-21] A Google User: Great Makes browsing reddit far easier than using a Web browser. No crashes or problems for me. |
[2012-11-21] A Google User: Connectivity and usability. The developers manage to introduce new annoyances with each release, very frustrating for a paid app. Still wish reddit is fun was around, it'd still be using it. Some gripes, no full loading on mobile data, and random force close. |
[2012-11-21] A Google User: Slowness I've been having the same issues with the extreme slowness since the update. I love the app, so would love it if it was fixed so I could use it again! |
[2012-11-21] A Google User: best reddit mobile client been using baconreader since alpha downloaded from /r/baconreader. simply the best client out there for any redditors. I don't comment and post all that much so i can't comment on those. Browsing reddit using this app is a great experience. Accessing a particular subreddit is confusing at first, but once you figured it out, it's not bad. (go to manage subreddit, then hit the search icon on top). One suggestion: I really like the full screen feature, but the toggle button is always there and kinda distracting. Would it be possible to add gesture like double tap to come in/out of full screen mode. Running without a problem using nexus galaxy, jelly bean |
[2012-11-21] A Google User: New update broke it. This new update force closes every time I try and open it. It locks my phone up. |
[2012-11-21] A Google User: .. This is a fantastic app. Super user friendly.. BUT since the last update it's started going insanely slow..frustrating! |
[2012-11-20] A Google User: Great update! Also a suggestion The addition of full screen is really great! but it would be nice if you could run the app in full screen, where you couldn't see the notification bar but everything else would be in normal mode, like dolphin browser for example :) |
[2012-11-20] A Google User: Don't like latest version. I miss the ability to have the posts list on the left while viewing individual posts on the right. |
[2012-11-20] A Google User: Slower since update |
