[2012-03-22] Sergey: Great app!!! I like the interface. Like that it syncs the feeds but not the posts with google reader!! Google is great but don't want them to know which articles I am reading.... I have searched the android market up and down and tried a number of free and paid apps, and like this one best. |
[2012-03-20] Chris: Looking again... I guess the app is not being updated anymore. Still big problem with it constantly reporting new posts when there are none or the wrong number of new posts when there are. |
[2012-03-20] Michal: No longer supported? Was great on GB but issues on ICS SG S2 ... |
[2012-03-19] saffad: Decent Hasn't been updated in a year...r |
[2012-03-19] michael: Ads in a paid app Why are there ads just above the close button on every article you expand? This is a paid app after all. It seems like the app has been abandoned. Good app but 3 stars because of no support. |
[2012-03-17] Aaron: Abandoned? I love this reader (using it for over two years now) but it hasn't been updated in some time. Wouldn't be a problem except it needs better ICS support. I may move elsewhere soon. |
[2012-03-12] Art Vandelay: Really needs some updates and fixes. It's very difficult to scroll vertically in fullscreen reading mode. It's been almost a year without a single minor update. Is it abandoned? |
[2012-03-04] kotsergy: Time for some updates perhaps When opening a new feed, it crashes and goes back to main feeds list. |
[2012-03-02] Anthony: Nice but wasteful You make a lovely elegant reader (movable to SD) app then store its vast data in app memory, really? Paid version is nice otherwise. |
[2012-02-23] bornagainpenguin: Still the best! Unlike Pulse FeedR does true offline reading, downloads and displays images and text completely offline on airplane mode. I love this app so much I purchased it twice--once in the AndApp Store for my Pandigital Novel and again from the market for my phone. It's that good! I just wish it would do on-the-fly black and white switching for those feeds which only show up in the light theme. Or maybe an option to define themes individually to the feeds for this type of thing. Then it'd be perfect. |
[2012-02-16] JP: Ok |
[2012-02-05] peek82454201: No support. Pulse News is much better, free, & has all the features I've requested from the devopers. 3 stars for simplicity. |
[2012-02-02] P: Mediocre and Too Little Although it's great to be able to search and add many feeds, it's unacceptable that the feeds are only a headline. I need feeds that download the whole story, for use offline. I already have a good one (newsrob) but was looking for a good RSS reader - I don't mind paying for useful software but this was a waste. |
[2012-01-30] Jay: Abandoned? Not so great anymore. No new updates in a long time and hitting the back arrow in ics sometimes gets this app acting crazy |
[2012-01-28] Ron K: Best rss feed reader The widget is awesome and indispensable. A must have for the Android. |
[2012-01-20] d0x: Excellent RSS app! Updates or not its excellent. Doesn't really need updates as everything works, doesn't need to become bloated. Simple to use, lots of features and its easy on the battery. Love it! Been using it for 2 years. |
[2012-01-16] Tudor: Update plz. Could still be the best with more updates, despite competition. Widget needs overhaul. |
[2012-01-15] Sergey Khorev: Not so cool anymore Used to be the best, appears to be not maintained anymore |
[2012-01-12] Neil: Force closes On ICS |
[2012-01-07] Yuryv: My most used app |
[2012-01-01] Mark: Abandoned? Was great, now loops around continually updating feeds on ICS. No update since April. Looking for an alternative - Currents not available here yet. |
[2011-12-30] Lou: Better options now Needs updating. Using Google reader and currents now. Updates very slowly. |
[2011-12-26] tornado0fsouls: FC all the time Force close all the time, please fix this asap... |
[2011-12-06] David: Great! Great app! |
[2011-12-05] Caner: Force close Used to be great. Now force closes several times a day... Do not buy. |
[2011-11-20] bartkoppe: Not so super.. Try pulse, more possibilities, easier reading AND free! |
[2011-11-15] Gujustud: Bye bye best old reader 1st and best rss reader I ever used on Android. However no updates in the longest time and the most recent version always force closes. |
[2011-11-13] Jake: Used to be great. Force closes multiple times a day now. |
[2011-11-08] Tim G: Good reader, but craashes too much I've been using this since I first started using Android, but it seems less stable recently. It crashes on my EVO 3D often. On my Acer A500 (HC3.2) open articles 'flap' around the screen, you have to chase them down to close them. |
[2011-11-03] Mike: Forgotten, bugs not fixed, behind the times As per previous commenrs this has been completely abandoned, no response from developer, no update for over 6 months if not longer |
[2011-10-26] Ian: Abandoned Great reader but missing features still and is rarely updated |
[2011-10-14] Ian: Pretty good Needs font size adjustment option for high dpi phones in the widget.... |
[2011-10-13] jmomomomomo: Nope No improvements in the last year. =( |
[2011-10-05] Tom: Love it. Defaults did not please me, but configured it's perfect. Reliable. N1 |
[2011-10-03] Charles: I wanted RSS, it gave me RSS, without pain or fuss I have looked at several newsreaders: some have lots of bells and whistles, but don't let you easily select feeds OR they make you use the ones they choose OR make it difficut to add or change a feed. NOT ReedR: it is straight forward, lets you add, change, organise, FIND feeds or add them manually. AND it imports/exports your feeds, backs them up - all without fuss. After testing this free version, I bought this paid version Excellent app and worth supporting the developer. |
[2011-10-01] Sebastiaan: Plus one star if it automatically blocks advertisement. |
[2011-09-27] the 9/28/2011 Great! Needs option to organize articles by date/time. Currently, can only organize by feed. |
[2011-09-21] the 9/23/2011
[2011-09-18] Louis: Outstanding app. |
[2011-09-18] Chris: Good Reader Best reader I have found. Integrated perfectly with G Reader, Read It Later & Google Listen. Update adjustments of frequency controls battery usage. |
[2011-09-14] Teve: Awesome! The best RSS reader for Android... looks native, great functionality... but for the love of god... change that icon!! Its the worst. |
[2011-09-10] Slim: I love this app Best for feeds and google reader. |
[2011-08-31] christopher: Clean fast makes reading easy |
[2011-08-26] Micah: Great RSS reader Love that this has widget for home screen. |
[2011-08-26] Ace: I paid for it advanced options and sometimes it doesn't sync with google reader but still pretty good |
[2011-08-25] Graham: Perfect! No other RSS reader comes close. |
[2011-08-25] Me being me: Slow down Best news reader period.........HTC thunderbolt 2.3.5 |
[2011-08-24] Jeff: Still the best. Ive tried other rss readers and I keep coming back to this one. The biggest deal breaker is the scrollable widgets. No other app has this. |
[2011-08-21] Gez Page: This app is seriously outdated, no support from dev after repeated attempts to contact. I recommend you DO NOT PURCHASE it. |
[2011-08-17] Parijat: Great app, great Dev support The app is amazing, specially the widget. Had trouble with widget loading but Dev fixed issue in a day... Runs great on my Galaxy S |
[2011-08-13] Jerry: Once a great app... Now almost completely useless, fails to open items 50-75% of the time. I have been very happy with it in the past but must warn against buying now. |
[2011-08-12] Andy: Feeds keep failing Keeps failing to update on droid charge. Aargh! |
[2011-08-05] jack spade: Crashes all the time on HTC incredible. Essentially unusable. Upsetting since I didn't have any issues until recently. |
[2011-08-05] Dale: Crashes alot and is not being updated |
[2011-07-30] Fish: Phenomenal App No doubt about it, the best reader for Android. Switched to Google Reader for a couple months and it was very sluggish when compared to FeedR. |
[2011-07-20] Jeff: Worked great on my Tbolt |
[2011-07-09] Unseen Vision: Lacking Basic Funtions. I've been using Feedr on and off for quite a while and still can't bring myself to fully commit to it. The app hasn't been updated in a while which doesn't give me high hopes that this will ever happen, but Feedr needs the ability to view all feeds at once and all feeds in a specific category. I can see others have also requested but it still doesn't exist. Another option, not as important, is the annoying fact that I have to press my menu key first and then select to mark all as read..... |
[2011-07-04] Fredy: WTH? Widgets keep disappearing. |
[2011-07-04] Anthony: Great app Great app, easy to use and lots of options. Unfortunately it keeps crashing after expanding the 10th or so news story for a feed. Quite annoying. This is on an original Droid, occured on stock ROM and on CM7. Also wish there was an option to mix all feeds into one large list. |
[2011-07-02] Rick: My go to rss reader! A lil glitchy lately but no matter what's come out I always come back to this one? |
[2011-06-30] Christopher: Used to be my favorite app, but force closes too often now. |
[2011-06-29] Dakos: Works directly, without Google Reader. (crucial for private and LAN based feeds) Good widget. Should optionally show date of feed elements in widget. |
[2011-06-27] Charles: Quick fix from dev thx. Moto Droid |
[2011-06-20] brinelan: Very frequent force close on thunderbolt. Both reading articles and when not in app. |
[2011-06-19] StayHosted: Used to be a great app, hate the changes to the layout and way it works now. |
[2011-06-18] ABQslim: Works exceptionally well for subscribing/unsubscribing to feeds which is what I use it for. Then use D7 Reader pro for actually reading articles. |
[2011-06-09] Yoshii the Toshibot: Much more powerful and flexible than any other feed reader I have used. |
[2011-06-07] Trudy: Love this app, especially with the widget; works perfect on my Galaxy S! |
[2011-06-06] Richard: Fast, easy, feeds fail to update quite often |
[2011-06-03] William: good reader, let's me scan and read in seconds with none of the trash |
[2011-06-01] Martin: Superb off line reader. Nice slick ui. |
[2011-05-22] Erie: Honeycomb Version Please! Best RSS reader out! Hoping for a Honeycomb version please |
[2011-05-22] Rob: Amazing reader, just wish the widget would get updated. Would be nice if it was customizable and scrolled. |
[2011-05-15] Dom: Great It's a great app; finally I've found the perfect RSS reader, well, almost perfect. One feature that I would like is the ability to make it take me straight to full screen reading mode when I click on an article, instead of sliding down the box. With that feature, this truly would be the perfect RSS reader! |
[2011-05-12] Sfrrr: My favorite newsreader. BUT it force-closes every five minutes on my streak 5 running froyo. Also, downloads only story headers not whole article. |
[2011-05-10] gisher: Nice app but drains CPU way too much for my tastes. |
[2011-05-10] Jake: This app works fine, but I like Google Reader Client better. |
[2011-05-04] Jacobin777: Excellent RSS Reader for Samsung Galaxy Tab I've been trying out a good RSS reader since switching over to Android. I've tried and uninstalled a number of them. I decided to give FeedR News Reader a try. It does exactly what I want it to do. Very simple and efficient. |
[2011-05-03] EVE: Works alright, nice interface, no regrets buying paid version, pretty decent app! |
[2011-04-29] Stever: Great by somewhat confusing This is the best offline RSS reader I've found for Android and runs great on my Thunderbolt (not a single crash). The only real problem I have with the app is that it's difficult for me to visually determine the length of a given article when I have it open and reading. One of my feeds is a full content feed that includes tech articles that are often very long (multi-page on web). Would be nice if the scrollbar indicated location within the currently open article instead of the overall feed itself. |
[2011-04-28] Jacob: force closes on thunderbolt |
[2011-04-27] Danny: Many more force closes since the last update... Samsung Moment |
[2011-04-21] the 4/21/2011 What did you do to the 4x1 widget? The 4th news title is cut off now. Please fix this. I love feedr and use it everyday. |
[2011-04-20] Luke: Upgraded my rating from 3 to 5 stars thanks to recent updates. |
[2011-04-20] Mark: Gets uglier and less intuitive with every alleged "upgrade." :( |
[2011-04-20] Mark: Has been a great app for my android from day one. Does exactly what you need and more. |
[2011-04-18] jumanjiman: nice reader |
[2011-04-17] JoAnne: I love the auto updates...very reliable and stays current. |
[2011-04-14] Ryan: Best RSS reader, works perfect on my Nexus One. 5/5 stars.*thank you for the update, improved stabilty with 2.3* |
[2011-04-14] the 4/17/2011 Awesome Rss reader. The new full page viewing with swipe to next article is very nice. |
[2011-04-13] Tribaal: Simply the best rss reader on the market. love the "mobilize" link! Latest update makes me wish for an 6th star :) |
[2011-04-12] Bernard: Great app. The quick switch back to the original button location shows fast response time from developers. |
[2011-04-12] Stephen: Best RSS app hands down. I wish there was an option to have articles always open in full screen mode. |
[2011-04-11] Martin: Perfect, fast developer response |
[2011-04-11] Ben: I wish this worked better but it regularly loses sync w/ google reader which is only fixed if i go into settings and reupdate my info. |
[2011-04-11] invisiblek: Wewt! |
[2011-01-24] Mojo Fones: Don't buy this, it is no longer supported. The dev has moved on to RSS Demon. |
[2011-01-21] B.: Good application but doesn't support bbc elementary podcast. Refund Galaxy s froyo |
[2011-01-17] Matt: Better organization then NewsRoom. Great app! |
[2011-01-17] Grant: I have been using this app for a while now. I can't think of a better RSS reader, well worth it! |
