Buggy sync - not worth the headache The wireless sync which was the main allure of this app miserably fails. Playlists are not synced completely and same songs are synced repeatedly. The incomplete playlist bug is well known and has been reported on their forums since 2011.

Winamp does not detect folder on my SD Card The folders option in the wimamp is detecting only the folders in my phone memory , but not on SD card . where as other apps and player are able to detect my SD card . After reading the winamp forums I realized that this is a known issue . Hope winamp fixes this for the users.

waste of money I've always enjoyed the desktop PC version of Winamp, so I had high hopes here. Unfortunately, the Android app lacks an in-application volume control (at least as best I can tell), which is a tedious inconvenience. It detracts from the usability of the app tremendously. I was surprised it was missing from the free version and dumbfounded it was not included in the paid app. I realize that you can still use the main system settings, but if I'm paying money, I expect a certain level of basic functionality. Until they get such a simple, basic thing fixed, I would strongly recommend to stay away.

Nice, but not compatible with ARM6 processors I bought this to get the folder browse functionality. Unfortunately it didn't work on my old phone because it had an ARM6 processor, but I was still allowed to purchase it. Might want to make a note of the ARM7 requirement in the description.

Resume is broken. I love this app when it works however every time they update it seems to break. This latest version 1.4.1 is awful. I have 4 hr podcasts that take me days to get through. Disappointed. The trial seemed so promising. Actually purchased the pro version since the feel of the app was smooth and nice. It's horrible and i'm not picky. Widget is always unresponsive, need to click play 3-4 times for it to actually start playing. Several other issues. Uninstalled and reinstalled but it didn't fix anything. Extremely, extremely disappointed. First bad rating on an app. Galaxy S3. 2 stars for nice interface. EQ/sound is worse than the generic player.

Double Charged through Google and Fail to respond I purchased the program. Then the in app re purchased again. I have 2 transactions through google within 1 minute. No reply to request to refund "1" of the transactions. Switched to JetAudio Plus. Much better interface.

Avoid Tried this on 3 separate devices over the past two years and it's never worked very well. Developer support is non existent, even after posting to the developer's support forum. On most devices the wireless sync is just terrible. Usually it doesn't sync all songs, requiring you to sync multiple times. On two of my devices the play lists did not sync correctly. I purchased this for syncing capability and to have an EQ, but now I realize the built in Google player has these options. Don't waste your money.

Confused or Conned? I just purchased Winamp Pro to get all the extra features such as graphic equaliser. It says: "This app is compatible with your Orange HTC HTC Wildfire." When I try to access the Graphic Equaliser it prompts me to purchase the Winamp Pro bundle (I thought I just paid for this?) then when I click on Buy Now it says: "Sorry, you are using a device that is not compatible with the advanced features of the Winamp Pro Bundle. So what have I just paid for??? Looks like I have been conned. There is no difference between the free version and the Pro version so don't waste your money. Will try and get my money back and then look at Poweramp.

Cheated-Does not work in ICS 4 This app after installing will ask for upgrade to Winamp. Thats all. A message comes while trying to install this "ICS 4 is not compatible with this upgrade". I can't use this software anymore. Cheated and fooled by paying $4.99.

Needs more work Winamp seems to lag more than other music playing apps. The custom home screen doesn't save the customized buttons you want. Overall it seems very glitchy. If it can streamline a bit more, and come closer to the speed and options (like visualization!) that the desktop version has, it would be a great app. Unfortunately it isn't there yet.

Not working on Motorola Defy After I installed Winamp Pro it worked as advertised. However after I did a cold reboot of the phone it gave me a black screen with a Winamp title bar and crashed. Tried everything I can (not much). Now all I've got is a dead app. Edit Update... I've since gone into App Manager and Cleared its Data. This fixed the problem. Reset the rating to 3 stars.

Album Washer wipeout I purchased winamp plus album washer specifically to use album washer to fix some of my cover art. Well, it fixed them alright! I was able to update one album, then it crashed. Now around 75% of my albums show up as The Smithereens' 11! Album washer refuses to fix them now.

Full Album Art Support Not Included I bought the Pro version thinking full Album Art support will be included. Then after installation I find out that if I want the Album Art feature to work I need to spend an additional $4. My PlayerPro app does a fantastic job with Album Art. It populates it without any effort in my part. In my opinion, WinAmp Pro dropped the ball with the Album Art. It should be included as part of the Pro bundle. On the plus side, it supports ReplayGain, which is the reason why I got it. For making us spend more money to have album art, I'm giving it 3 out of 5 stars.

Application causes freezing and crashes I purchased the pro version with Album Washer plugin. After literally 5 minutes of use it crashed. It no longer even opens. I am very conservative and careful with what apps and websites I load and visit using my phone. I am an experienced computer user (Linux since 1999). I am shocked this app with such a great and trusted brand name is so unstable. Using Samsung Galaxy Note with ICS 4.04.

Droid bionic Eq is amazing. Wireless sync also amazing. wish I could see flacs in normal medialibrary but whatever. The battery drain and processor use is absurd tho... Even with the eq off it can be pretty bad... If that gets resolved it is a 5 star program.

Nexus 7 playback fixed When I first installed Winamp Pro on my Nexus 7 the music playback functionality didn't work at all, but I'm pleased to say that this has now been fixed. Its still designed with phone screen sizes in mind, rather than tablets and at times it is slightly clunky. The stock Android player on the Nexus 7 is certainly prettier and smoother in terms of user experience, but it lacks Replay Gain support, which was the main reason for my purchase of Winamp Pro.

Brilliant Alternative That Still Needs Some Work With many smartphone manufacturers offering pretty simplistic digital audio players on their devices (or in some cases, the default Android music player), Winamp is a powerful alternative that is sure to meet the requirements of most users. Featuring a long list of features including social networking support (Last.fm), integrated digital radio with around 45,000 stations available, an on-board music store and wireless synchronization when partnered with the computer version (of Winamp), Winamp's biggest let-down is its stability... At the time of writing, Winamp is prone to "crashing" and a quick review of the Google Play Store comments shows that I am not alone - in saying this however, the latest update appears to addressed some of these, and I now experience "crashes" far less often. At this stage, I am giving Winamp three stars, primarily due to the fact that one still experiences "crashes" every so often - if the stability increases in future updates or upgrades however, this will be increased to four or perhaps even five stars...

1.3.4 plays on jellybean Interface and playback are adequate. Transferring files from PC to tablet works well. My BIG issue is that none of the metadata or album art is transferred to the tablet, even though the metadata from the tracks on the tablet is displayed in the PC interface. I'm using FLACs and all of my files are properly tagged with Album, Artist, Title, Track, Year, and Genre. Compilation albums have that flag set. All of the directories have a cover.jpg file for album art. None of that information transfers to the tablet using Winamp. By comparison, all of that information is transferred when I use Winamp with my iPod nano. Then, it's kind of insulting to offer an option to "Long Press for Album Art and Metadata" which brings me to a screen where I can buy the Album Washer App to replace all the information that Winamp stripped out of my collection. I've already meticulously cataloged my collection. Why should I have to do ANYTHING to use the information already contained within the files? Fix the tagging and cover art issues and I'll be happy to give a 5 star review.

Have Pro Version - Or Do I? Paid for Winamp Pro as I wanted to play flac files. On launch of Pro app it says that I have paid and thanks me yet will not allow access to the equaliser etc. It does play flac files though :-) When I launch from Winamp Std it suggests I could pay another $4.99 to go Pro!! A bigger issue is that it does does not wifi sync music properly - I get duplicate files seemingly randomly. I do not have the confidence in the app to spend time syncing more music. Does not do gap less playback!! I bought a sap thinking it was going to be able to play gapless playback. Unfortunately it did not. What a total waste of money. The instructions do you say that there are no options to set for gapless play. But that also means the songs still play with gaps. Totally useless!

Stopped using after moving to ICS Bluetooth controls stop working when screen turns off. Wasn't a problem while I could disable screen shut off, but stock ICS does't have that option. Stock player works with screen off. Why not Winamp?

Pro isn't a waste if you want quality sound MP3 conversion reduces the size of music files by 90%. It also reduces the sound quality to tinny boombox. All my songs are in FLAC format, six times larger, or, only a 40% size reduction from the originals, but providing full CD quality. Winamp Pro plays FLAC; the free version doesn't. If you want sound quality, $5 is a trivial price.
