“Little Louie” Vega is the Miles Davis of dance music. Like the impossible to categorize Davis, Vega is constantly reinventing himself and revolutionizing music itself in the process. During his nearly two-decade long career, Vega has crafted some of the most innovative singles in dance music history (“The Nervous Track”, “It’s Alright”, “I Feel It” and “You Can Do It”), kick started genres like soulful house (“Beautiful People,” “I Get Lifted”), and revitalized the careers of legends like Roy Ayers, George Benson and Tito Puente.

Born in the Bronx in 1965, Vega grew up surrounded by Latin music. Vega’s father, Louie Vega Sr, is an accomplished jazz and Latin saxophone player and his uncle Hector LaVoe was a renowned salsa singer who recorded for the Fania label. But Vega’s musical influences didn’t end with Latin music: in the eighties, he was a regular at legendary nightclubs like The Paradise Garage and he attended Afrika Bambaataa’s parties in the Bronx River Projects.

In 1985, Vega began his first nightclub residency at Devil’s Nest, in the Bronx, Roseland, Studio 54 and the Palladium. Vega’s style reflected his eclectic upbringing: his DJ sets included everything from Latin music to hip-hop to British new wave. But towards the end of the decade, Vega became disenchanted with the club scene’s increasing musical segregation. “People’s minds were starting to think in terms of categories,” Vega remembers.

Requires CasaTunes software installed on a computer in the LAN.
Starts WiFi on your device and then returns the IP address of any CasaTunes Server(s) on your LAN. Can return multiple IP addresses if a dealer has several CasaTunes Servers installed. Will be integrated into the CasaTunes app at a later date.
Actively running CasaTunes servers will be shown in the "Active CasaTunes Servers" list. "Possible Servers" will list any computer that has had CasaTunes installed, even if CasaTunes service is stopped. "Possible Servers" also may give some false positive indications, but it is handy if you are looking for an IP address of a CasaTunes server that does not have the CasaTunes service running.
Great for setting up Android and iPhone apps or for setting up browsers when DNS is not working properly.

This application brings music scrobbling support on Samsung Galaxy S devices for SLS (Simple Last.FM Scrobbler) application and (soon) Scrobbledroid.

This is not a full-blown scrobbler app though! It requires a real scrobbler (SLS or Scrobbledroid) to be installed and functional on the phone!

Currently "Simple Last.FM Scrobbler" (SLS) is supported, support for Scrobbledroid will come soon.

As SLS or Scrobbledroid don't support default Music Player present on the Galaxy S phone, this small appllication tries to come in the middle and bring that support.

The Forces radio now have a new method of interacting with their audience. This App is bursting with user features, requests, streaming, news updates, multiple studio access + a link to the GarrisonFM website. The App allows the user to choose their garrison. This selection then allows the user to direct messages to their own garrison breakfast shows during the morning show. When the individual garrison breakfast show goes off air all messages are then directed back to the main studio. To send requests the user can select a track from their own device, where the artist and title fields will be populated automatically or they can type out the artist name and song title manually. News headlines are also available throughout the day.

To enable full use of all the features of the App the user must complete the preferences page. The App does not require the user to have an email address and does not use texting to send the messages or competition entries to the studio. All messages are managed and forwarded to the station automatically by Infonote, in many cases the message transfer is quicker than traditional emails. Good luck and Enjoy.
