PlugPlayer (v. 4.0.0) Разработано PlugPlayer, LLC |
Finally, a simple way to use your existing UPnP™ software and devices from your Android phone. Introducing PlugPlayer, an application to stream from UPnP™ media servers or control UPnP™ media renderers - all from the palm of your hand.
- Stream Music*, Video*, or Images* from a Media Server* to your Android phone
Already have a media server running on your home computer or server? With PlugPlayer you can access music, videos, and images from your media server and listen to it on your Android phone. You can use the built-in player, or choose your favorite external application.
- Control PlugPlayer from another Android phone or control point
Like listening to your Android phone while it is docked to speakers, but hate having to physically walk over to change the playlist or volume? With PlugPlayer, you can use your Android Phone to remotely control another copy of PlugPlayer.
- Control a Media Renderer* from your Android phone
Already have a media renderer hooked up to your stereo? No need to fumble around looking for the right remote. With PlugPlayer you can control your media renderer using your Android phone, creating a playlist from media on your media server.
- Push media from your Android phone
Use PlugPlayer to push media from the built-in server, or from external servers, to Media Renderers in your home.
-Stream from "the cloud"
PlugPlayer has built-in support for cloud-based media services such as CloudUPnP and mp3tunes.
- No Additional Software or Configuration Required
Other solutions require proprietary software on your home computer, but PlugPlayer uses the media server you already have. Plus, PlugPlayer automatically discovers devices on your network without the need for manual configuration or settings.
- Advanced Features
Of course, should your device not be discoverable due to your network circumstances, there is also a way to manually add a device. With PlugPlayer's advanced device configuration, you can stream music and video from remote servers.
* Please see plugplayer.com for supported file formats and devices known to work with PlugPlayer

[2011-12-09] echedey: I could do what I wanted: control my desktop android music from my android phone. There is a lot of room for improving: lags and force closes. |
[2011-11-28] grnbrg: Works with my MythTV server. Perfect!!!! |
[2011-11-09] Stephen: Sparky Already use this on iphone with no trouble. Works great with Galaxy S2 & readynas duo. Only gripe is it hangs if wifi not turned on first. |
[2011-10-06] Chuck: Flac files started working. Good player. |
[2011-09-11] Nick: Herp derp Works well!! Stop complaining and read their site... most complaints are pure ignorance and user error. Running on nook color and droid incredible. |
[2011-08-27] frisser: Works fine if you don't use the internal videoplayer. |
[2011-08-04] Dan: This app sucks a##, I hate these cheap a++ apps on here when will they put something up here that works Total sh$t |
[2011-08-01] Frederick Ray: Find's media server which works fine with other samsung dnla devices but wont play anything on galaxy s. Really sucks. |
[2011-07-26] James: Great. To play most vid formats, you just need to install rockplayer or vplayer and then untick the Use internal player Advanced option. result! |
[2011-07-26] David: Works really well with my QNAP running twonky media. Can play videos locally via rockplayer or use to push videos to XBMC |
[2011-07-26] Paul: Maybe ok for wifi. No sound on 3g and developer doesn't care to fix it or reply for support. Latest version is worse than previous. Force closes now. |
[2011-07-12] Michael: Crap |
[2011-07-09] Daniel: Almost would say avoid it Tested on both Galaxy Tab and S2....it does in fact access the upnp server which is a Qnap with Twonky Server but its useless if you try to look at pictures, browsing them activates the devices internal picture app...or playing720 or 1080 movies does not work either. |
[2011-07-05] Jon Ruiz: Now I can watch and listen to my entire media library. Works great with my galaxy tab! |
[2011-07-02] charlie.kempson: Nice concept, but flawed implementation. Slow startup on my Galaxy Sii, and won't play any videos from my server (mpg or mp4). Hope it improves. |
[2011-06-23] burtcom: Works great -- much better than the stock DLNA solution on my G2. I only wish the items on the browse screen were larger for easier tapping. |
[2011-06-01] milau: No video; HTC desire |
[2011-05-23] Toby: Won't play any videos at all! |
[2011-05-22] El Rico: Wouldn't find my Twonky Server. |
[2011-05-17] Audiogalaxy007: To all having the error code 10 issue: try opening up the app's settings menu and turning off the internal players. You have to be quick though! |
[2011-05-17] FanCarolina: Great app to use if you have a Windows Home Server or any other DLNA media server on your local network. |
[2011-05-13] Anthony: Works great on my Xoom! Running Mezzmo on my PC. Able to push video right to my Samsung TV from my Xoom. |

[2011-05-05] t: Great App & Great Support Been using this app for a while on several devices. When I tried using on an Asus Transformer, had crashes on start. The dev immediately worked on a fix and now it's working fine. |
[2011-04-28] savikab: Cool App...but Buggy I downloaded this app after reading some reviews. App does not work on the XOOM, it crashes as soon as it opens. The features and functionality are VERY cool and I like the capability of controlling another android device hooked up to my stereo in the other room. I noticed that their is a long pause between streaming music tracks. When controlling another device, you can only send 1 song at a time (I tried listening to a play list I created with no luck). I am looking forward to updates. Great as a streamer |
[2011-04-25] Frank: Can't discover renderer devices with dynamic url while the apple version does it. (Corrected 20/04/2011) |

[2011-04-09] Olaf: Unfortunately did not play ANY video files on my HTC dhd I tried, however that could be a phone issue (testing now) Everything else was perfect. |
[2011-04-04] Jared: Wasn't expecting much from the rating, but pleasantly surprised. Works spot on with HTC Wildfire and Buffalo Linkstation. Tested music and photos. |
[2011-04-03] nc3d: Would not any of my videos. Would not give refund. |
[2011-03-26] halfcal: Doesn't pick up devices automatically, configuring took longer than 15 minutes, and playlist playback stops after a song if the device is locked. |
[2011-03-16] PapaBear: Works 95% of the time. Some scaling issues with widespread,by overall a very stable dnla streaming client. |
[2011-03-15] Les: PlugPlayer supports FLAC on iPhone etc, so why no FLAC support under Android...? Please... Other than that, seems to work quite well (HTC Desire, 2.2) |
[2011-03-13] Mark: Not good does not support any formats from my dlna server, but the ps3 plays them all, waste of money |
[2011-03-12] Karl: Works great to access twonky server videos stored on a nas on your android mobile. Install vplayer to view all video types. Not great for photos |
[2011-03-11] Hamilton: The only thing that is annoying is that the app does not support pushing media from the phone to a renderer |
[2011-03-08] allancoblu: Liked the idea of one Android controlling another as per description, but it doesn't. Good support, but let down by not really doing what it says. |
[2011-03-05] ptDave: Want my money back Doesn't work. XOOM |

[2010-12-24] Gallows: Inconsistency performance. Aspect ratio will be fine one time then not the next when loading the same file. Also cannot browse by folder name. |
[2010-12-17] Waldo: Moved from touch to android and been waiting for this for ages! Ace first release, HTC desire, twonky, readynas, linn sneaky. A ok! |
