[2012-09-25] JohnyV: Ok but getting better I have a BDVL 800 and sans300 it is OK to use. Could be a bit more user friendly. |
[2012-09-23] Mahadi: Good Nice |
[2012-09-22] Velkur: Dhruva Excellent and Very nice |
[2012-09-18] RandyAmy: Works with ICS but usability is not good. Difficult to understand what is playing and where. |
[2012-08-26] Nate: Hard to use Really difficult app to use... not intuitive at all |
[2012-08-25] Roma: Very good |
[2012-08-19] Tenzing: s fu... |
[2012-08-16] Steven: This Is The Sony I Know You Can Be Works perfectly on my Nexus 7 streaming music from my Drobo FS running MediaTomb to my Sony STR-DN1020. Love this app since the interface on the STR-DN1020 is terrible for network music. Thank you Sony, keep rockin'! |
[2012-08-07] Ctcrck: Got even worse Doesn't work properly, crashes on galaxy nexus JB |
[2012-08-03] Martin: Disappointment I was expecting more from Sony. This app lacks functionality.... no random / shuffle play, can't create playlists and worse of all can't play the music from the android device it is running on. Skifta is so much better. |
[2012-08-03] Mohammad: It works sometimes Very disappointed, this app is a cool idea but it doesn't work all the time. It keeps crashing (galaxy nexus with 4.1 jelly bean). Without this app, there's no way to control the sa-ns300 network speaker unless of course I buy their 400 remote which is ridiculous to control a 100 USD speaker! so I now have to return this overpriced speaker. Tisk tisk...sony for such bad programming |
[2012-07-31] ALEX: Nice but! This application is awesome all it does is turn up and down the volume on the tv that I have but can chat some options to change the channels also |
[2012-07-09] Paul: Better than physical remolte, but only just The main advantage to this is that you do not need to be looking at the actual lHi-fi to select tracks - particularly useful as we have it inside our TV unit. But......that's all. Where is a search function? Why no ability to choose from the internet radio channels? Create and edit playlists? And when using folder structure (to get around these limitations) why not provide the ability to have the tracks still listed by track order rather than alphabetically? Like just about every other 'operating system' in the world seems to realise most people would want to. Hrrrm, guess it's time to waste my time in editing every file name I have to include the track number at the start.... As stands this remote, whilst an improvement, is missing out on the real benefits of having a screen and a keyboard to make selections. Poor show. |
[2012-07-08] Derek: Garbage Works fine on first phone, get 4.0.. Stops working. Kinda stupid. |
[2012-06-30] James: Nasty Terrible!! |
[2012-06-11] Ollie: It works :-D but buggy and only one song at a time? I got a 4 year old sony tv with network plug and I can use this app with it ! Sony actually made something backwards compatible |
[2012-06-06] chuck: Terrible No wonder Sony is about to go bankrupt. Nothing of theirs works. No instructions for setting up the app. Go buy a Samsung. |
[2012-05-13] Christopher: Please update Please update Sony great start but could be alot better. Also no support for Android 4.0. Maybe combine this app with media remote or something?. |
[2012-05-04] Dan: Excellent Sans300 is excellent |
[2012-04-16] Anonymous: Not user friendly at all Not intuitive, is getting the device connection quite hard, interface very ugly and not easy to use at all. To bad for sony.... |
[2012-04-11] Keith: Supports party mode w smnp100 Works very well w my Sony smnp100 and my readynas. I gave an extra star as it supports party mode for multi-room playback with multiple Sony units, though party mode isn't perfect. Tried w Western Dig. Live unit and would only play one song at a time. Can play predefined playlists, but you cannot create one on the fly, so no 5th star. |
[2012-04-04] frank: Shame Sony could do so much more with this. Why can I not control the internet radio with it. Come on Sony make it so that your phone can do the same as the remote. |
[2012-04-03] as: Functional but usability from the 90s |
[2012-04-03] Ceo California: Atrudopdo setup Update available |
[2012-04-01] Simon: Needs playlists No playlists means I have to throw songs all the time. Needs playlists and internet radio badly. |
[2012-03-23] BamboOSZ: Doing exactly what i need Havin media server on Linksys E3000 and Sony Blu Ray 480 and it works with this app brilliantly :) |
[2012-02-27] Danny: Needs internet radio bought sa-NS400 and its amazing with this so Google I've just ordered a second. But the app needs internet radio and the ability to make and edit playlists. But still 5 stars |
[2012-02-05] Scott: Not working No local media.....one song at a time.....not working since last update. Please fix Sony. Many have invested a lot of $ in hardware only to have software fail us. Using with the following....DroidX, Homeshare speakers, Sony Google TV (nsz-gt1). I also use the built in music software on the Sony tablet which also does not work with the google tv. Please fix! |
[2012-01-26] Richard: good concept, but glitchiness prevents greatness This useful smartphone app allows me to use sony homeshare products (in particular, a stereo receiver (700Ni), as well as a stand alone speaker (sans300) that can be used in party mode. It quickly checks up on nearby media servers, and I can use the app to tell the receiver and speaker what music to play from the media server. In concept it all works well. One flaw is that for long song titles or audiobooks with many chapters you will have to use the info legend just to be able to read the track names. Doesn't seem to support text scrolling. Second major glitch that makes it practically useless is that the remote randomly mutes both the stereo and speaker. It doesn't stop streaming music from the media server, but instead just mutes, and I have to use the phone to un-mute, or increase the volume on the device to un-register the mute event. If you use the 700Ni to choose music via server it never mutes, so it is the app that does it. Of course Sony support just said it is my phone (an LG Optimus w/ gingerbread), and refused to let anyone relevant know that the app is basically broken. Their suggested re-install of the app did not fix the issue, wish it did though. |
[2012-01-14] Vijay: Ace app but... Very easy to use and setup.Allows me to stream music from my Mybook Live to my nas-sv20i iPod dock and TV. Unfortunately it has stopped working since the Ice Cream Sandwich update. Would get 5* if it worked on ICS. |
[2011-12-31] David George: Room for improvement You can only throw one song at a time, which is useless if you want to listen to a Album or Playlist. Would be good if you could send phone content aswell. |
[2011-12-30] chcao: Not as expected from the name Too hard to control play list Would be nice to use as the normal infrared remote. Very good in network discovery |
[2011-12-22] Rocky: Good...but... Want it to be able to use phone/tablet as an audio source too |
[2011-12-09] dreamtheatres: Um. This needs to support your BluRay changer! The 7000ES. |
[2011-12-05] Micah: Don't waste your time. |
