MilkyTracker is an open source, multi-platform music application for creating .MOD and .XM tracker module files. It attempts to recreate the module replay and user experience of the popular DOS program Fasttracker II, with special playback modes available for improved Amiga ProTracker 2/3 compatibility.

Watch the video to learn how to edit envelopes in the instrument editor - you need to touch the envelope marker, wait for a second, then quickly move finger to the side.
This is definitely tricky - if you will wait shorter the marker will not snap to the finger, if you will wait longer you will get popup menu and the marker will stay in place.
There are few demo songs pre-installed, just hit the "Load" button.

[2012-07-01] Cory: Awesome Very powerful tracker for music composition, however there are some bugs that must be ironed out which put a major dent in the workflow... quite a few important keyboard shortcuts seem to be broken. You should be able to select rows for copying by holding down shift while using cursor keys. No luck. ctrl + x,c,v for copy paste doesn't seem to work either. Using both physical and soft keyboards yield the same result. Another issue I have is, sometimes the notes are flat or just off pitch, I guess depending on the octave, may be the instruments I'm using... .pat instruments packaged with timidity. Please fix those bugs dev, I like your work! EDIT I just discovered that you can use the mouse to drag select and do the copy pasting. Now to fix the instrument pitch glitch... such a great port for this tracker though |

[2012-05-30] Joel: Works, to some extent. The UI bugs out whenever I select anything. Great tracker, but the port is, well, broken for my phone. Fix it and put it for sale, I would buy it. |

[2012-05-06] Benjamin: Needs fixing. I'll give it a five* once this app works right for the galaxy note. The cursor works okay with the s pen but it does tend to get stuck on top right corner, so do avoid that. As far as adding music notes... Forget it. I tried watching some YouTube tutorials on this app but they are for the computer program and the app is set up differently than the app so i'm s.o.l. |

[2012-01-09] HyRax: Crashes on SGS2 I use Milkytracker under Linux with no issues but sadly this version is very unstable on Samsung Galaxy S2. It loads up, but then the instant you touch any button, it crashes and exits. |

[2012-01-08] tran: Much better! Thanks for the port..... But why doesn't the keyboard behave like a traditional tracker? I.e. q=c w=d e=e r=f t=g etc. Etc. Otherwise great! 5 stars when fixed! :) UPDATED! With the new update we are brought closer to tracker perfection and now HORRAY! The keyboard works properly! Five stars! |
