Get the official App of J.J. Voss! Raised on a small farm in rural Saskatchewan during the tough economic times of the 80’s, J.J. grew up identifying closely with the underdog, outlaw music movement. His heroes include Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Steve Earle to name a few.
August 26, 2008 marked the release of his debut album, Hillbilly Storybook, including three songs written by Voss. Recorded and produced in his own studio with the help and of some of the best in the Canadian music industry, Voss is incredibly proud of his first effort as a solo artist and is enthusiastic about playing his own songs live.
