Grace Digital Remote Control (v. 3.0.5.0) Разработано Grace Digital |
The Grace Digital Radio Remote Control Application allows you to go where no IR remote has gone before. Control one or more of your Grace Internet radios from your Android device. You can adjust the volume ( Please note if you are using the RCA line out jacks on certain models to connect to a seperate audio system, the remote cannot control line out audio for obvious reasons), turn the radio on or off, find stations, set presets, or even set one of your five alarms. If you have more than one Grace Radio, it is suggested that you change the name of each unit so you know which radio you are controlling. To change your radio's network name, go to your radio's main menu and select "setting", then "UPnP", then "device name" and change it to "kitchen" (for example) or whatever falls within your personal preference.

[2013-01-25] A Google User: Have to clear data every time on Droid Razr HD Sees the radio, but when you go out of program, you have to clear data and cache, or it just shows the last song from the last time you used it. Volume control works great. LOL. Brand new Bravado with latest firmware. Would love to see it work. Please fix. :) |
[2013-01-23] A Google User: Pretty bad. You have to delete the settings for the app every time you run the app. Every time. Fix it grace, and I will change my review. |
[2013-01-22] A Google User: Great app after latest update The update to this app really fixed all of the MANY issues that it used to have. I use it all of the time now that it actually works. Good job Grace Digital. |
[2013-01-21] A Google User: Works Great Wish I could use the radio as a one way intercomm. |
[2013-01-21] A Google User: Grace remote Has worked beautifully from day one. |
[2013-01-12] A Google User: Useless Latest update rendered app unusable, cannot find radio, ever. |
[2013-01-10] A Google User: Random order does not work, and other issues There doesn't appear to be a way to play playlists in random order from the app. Also, the scroll function does not work properly on long playlists - the position keeps jumping to the top while scrolling down. Alos, I have noticed that the menu functions do not work after using the app for a minute or so... for me, it seems to happen after navigating the menu a bit, and then selecting a preset. The now playing panel stops updating, and the menu options do not load at that point. The only option is to kill the app, clear the data, and begin again. These issues occur on both my Galaxy Nexus phone and my Nexus 7 tablet, both on Jelly Bean. It would be nice to hear a response from Grace Digital to hear that they are working on these issues. Are they listening to our comments here? Or is there another place online that we can get in touch with the developers? If they get this app working properly, this will be a top-notch product! |
[2013-01-07] A Google User: Not too bad - just need firmware to match App works but some features don't respond. Firmware in my Tuner is v257 but no update is available. |
[2013-01-05] A Google User: Crappy.. Only volume works.. Galaxy S3 |
[2013-01-04] A Google User: Terrible This app can almost never find the radio and is therefore unusable. |
[2013-01-04] A Google User: Can't find my radio Restarted everything but cannot find my Innovator. Even with the latest service pack v26 |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: Great! The app works great! It found my radio quickly and controls the functions of my grace radio wonderfully. Just wish that I could log onto my subscription radios through the app; it would make things a little easier. |
[2012-12-29] A Google User: Recent improvements great The new update really improves performance |
[2012-12-29] A Google User: Still no good Sigh.....it still isnt working properly. After you close the app and come back in, and try to browse the menus, the individual menus (like categories for pandora, sirius, etc) just dont load. Very disappointing . Tried sonos and their android app works flawlessly. What a shame. The radio is otherwise great. iOS app works well though. Very frustrating. Why cant they get this right |
[2012-12-25] A Google User: Love the Grace product hate the Grace Application This app is worthless. I have it installed on a Samsung Galaxy SII and a Samsung Galaxy 7.0 tablet to use with the Grace Tuner. The app does not function on either platform. I will say that it will open, however it does not pick up the tuner on the network despite the hardware and svc pack meeting the requirements specified by Grace Digital Audio. I'm leaving it installed w/ auto update in hopes that Grace will acknowledge the fact that over 60% of smartphones in use are running Android and will adjust the app to meet this demand. Waiting with my thumbs crossed ;) |
[2012-12-22] A Google User: Used to work 50/50 Now doesn't work at all. Worthless. |
[2012-12-17] A Google User: Amazing App Great app even works for my v25 radio. Thanks |
[2012-12-11] A Google User: Force closes This app almost never works on my Droid Razr. When it does start to work, it freezes causing a force close. Needs some work for it to be of use. |
[2012-12-06] A Google User: Android version is useless ios version is perfect , my android version almost never can find radio |
[2012-12-04] A Google User: Lots of issues Hasn't worked at all as expected |
[2012-12-01] A Google User: Works great on a droid bionic vzw/ics |
[2012-11-27] A Google User: There are better solutions in the market... Weak product and application compared to Logitech offerings. |
[2012-11-25] A Google User: Complete fail No desire to fix obviously. |
[2012-11-24] A Google User: Buggy app The app could not find the radio so I went to app manager and cleared data. The app doesn't update or refresh the song information. I realize this app is free but it needs refinement. Come on Grace get to work and make it work properly. |
[2012-11-23] A Google User: Needs Work The app works every time on wife's Iphone. Maybe.... and that's a "big" maybe 1 out of 20 times on my Droid. Kid tried it on his with same result. At times, it will let me use preselects, but most of the time, it's useless. Update: After doing some digging.....if you clear the app's data before opening, it seems to work correctly. It's still ridiculous to have to go through this procedure "every time." |
[2012-11-22] A Google User: Great app I was a little wary to install this after reading some of the bad reviews. This app works flawlessly for me unlike some of the other reviews in here. I have it installed on my S3 phone and my Nexus 7 tablet. I am running v266 firmware on my Mondo which might be why it's working. |
[2012-11-21] A Google User: Works great Very happy with the functionality, works fine on EVO LTE. |
[2012-11-21] A Google User: Do NOT upgrade Application is broken. Will render your radio unusable. Absolutely no suppory from developer. |
[2012-11-18] A Google User: Freezes!!! Freezes almost every time I try to use it. That's a real shame because the Grace radios are really cool! |
[2012-11-16] A Google User: Very weak effort! First, the app is very buggy; it crashes and loses contact with my Solo constantly. Second, the Rhapsody functions are messed up. My playlist are not included in My Library. Since my playlists weren't included in My Library I thought they would be in the Playlists section, but the Playlists section launches iHeart Radio stations by genre and location. I don't think Rhapsody categorizes their playlists by location, and certainly know that I don't. This really sucks since Rhapsody support was the main reason I bought the darned device. |
[2012-11-15] A Google User: horrible app Flat out - DOA. Avoid this manufacturer also. No support whatsoever. |
[2012-11-04] A Google User: Works great I spent a couple of hours trying to figure out the IR codes on my Russound tuner so I could program my whole house audio to control my Grace internet tuner and decided I needed to see if they have an app. First time I opened the app on my Droid Razr it found my tuner, had my presets, and could see all of the songs on my server and network as well as. Great app and much better than using the keypads on my whole house audio! |
[2012-11-01] A Google User: Dreadful Rubbish, |
[2012-10-31] A Google User: Will not find my new MONDO Bought my grace radio because of the app. But the app will not even find my radio. And the version is correct, and wifi is all same and working, but not the app. You would think it would find the radio within a day of searching. Should have checked these reviews first. Will also have to give a bad review on amazon! |
[2012-10-29] A Google User: Frustration The most recent update did nothing about the crashes. You would think the app would be able to tell if wi-fi was on or not and ask if the user wanted to turn it on instead of locking up. Do Grace programmers understand the concept of error trapping? |
[2012-10-27] A Google User: More responsive than factory remote. This app on my HTC Incredible gets quicker response from my IRDT200 than the remote that came with the thing, so I love that. I just wish the "Playing" tab would update when the track changes. It just keeps displaying whatever the first track was that played after I turned the unit on. Come on, updates! :) UPDATE: Two days after I posted this review I got an update that fixed the problem I mentioned above. Coincidence? Probably, but I'm not splitting hairs. This app is the perfect complement to my IRDT200. Originally three stars, now five. |
[2012-10-11] A Google User: Zero stars App is complete garbage. Does not work on Galaxy Nexus or Nexus 7. Starts fine but has never found my radio. Contacted Grace tech support, said I tried reinstalling, cleared cache, etc. The response, that's it, can't help any further. |
[2012-10-08] A Google User: Can't. Find my radio set Please! Somebody go catch that bug |
[2012-10-03] A Google User: Horrible and crashes Why can't they come up with something that is stable and controls the volume |
[2012-10-02] A Google User: Great when it works-however.... Great when it works but it usually doesn't. This need a lot more work. It's more like a beta version with many problems. |
[2012-09-29] A Google User: Worked with 0 setup! Installed app, it found my device instantly. I got my Allegro for $25 clearanced at Best Buy but no remote or power this works perfectly! |
[2012-09-23] A Google User: Useless crash champiom Where is the professional integrity of the developer? The app crashes after few minutes of use. Fix or remove. |
[2012-09-15] A Google User: Great when it works If fully functional, this would be useful. It controls my Grace radio fine at first, but always crashes. Hope it gets fixed someday. |
[2012-09-11] A Google User: Rubbish I've been trying to use this app for about 2 weeks. Its absolute $#it! Everytime I attempt to do anything the app freezes up. Good idea, but a garbage app! |
[2012-09-08] A Google User: Horribly buggy Grace needs to get their act together and make an app that doesn't crash every other time you use it. |
[2012-09-08] A Google User: What a shame A great idea. Nice options. Unfortunately it crashes all the time. This would be a 5 star app if the constant crashing is resolved. |
[2012-09-03] A Google User: Grace remote Love the radio..hate the app. It works only 50% of the time if you are lucky. For such a good radio system you would think you could spend a little time improving the reliability of the app. Please work on an update. |
[2012-08-22] A Google User: Works as advertised! The polarized ratings on this app almost scared me away from buying a Grace radio and partly influenced the decision to buy their IRD-4000 (because it also has a separate hardware remote), but this app has worked perfectly for two months since the radio arrived. The network uses WPA2 encryption and a Cisco E1000 router running DD-WRT Linux, so it is a highly secure and sophisticated network as these things go. One star down for stupidly copy-protecting the app, which prevents moving it to SD card. |
[2012-08-06] A Google User: Buggy and nearly useless I bought the Grace Sole specifically so I could control the stereo from my android. This app crashes and hangs, does not update the "now playing" (e.g. only the first song on the play list shows despite playing through the entire album) and is generally just too fussy to bother with for those few moments that it appears to work. Support documentation is weak and they don't even attempt to answer questions on their own support forum. Insult on injury is that this app performs flawlessly on my old iPhone. This tells me that the developers at Grace are too lazy or indifferent to write a proper app for the android platform. Don't bother. |
[2012-08-01] A Google User: Good functionality but buggy This is a very useful app if you have a Grace wi-fi radio. The problem is that it's buggy. Here is a list of major bugs that I've found so far: 1) Occasionally can't find radio - workaround is to go to app settings and clear data. 2) Frequent freezing/force closing. 3) Quite often, the current state of the app does not match the current state of the radio. No "refresh" available. 4) Multi-select disappears when adding to playlist after clicking on "Add" button for the second time. Workaround is to navigate back to top level of selected media server device and click on "menu -> select". If these major bugs/shortcomings are fixed, you will have a 4+ star app, in my opinion. |
[2012-07-31] A Google User: Not ready to be used. Constantly freezes & causes other apps to slow down. Everything back to normal after uninstalling. |
[2012-07-25] A Google User: Works Great!! Minor effort in setting up Pandora on the Grace radio, easy app' install. If you're having issues with the app', make sure you have only one "instance" running. |
[2012-07-24] A Google User: Always searching for radio I wonder if the people that make this app ever even try it ..... hardly ever works always searching |
[2012-07-22] A Google User: Nexus Worst app ever! Did a 12yr old work on it? Seems like it. |
[2012-07-21] A Google User: Will not launch Cannot find radios |
[2012-07-08] A Google User: 2nd/3rd Rate App (UPDATED) This is a REALLY buggy app. There is no way any amount of reasonable QA was performed before this was released. Android is (or beginning to) out selingl iPhones, yet it still seem to get the apps 2nd and manyad (like this one) are apparently are far inferior to their iPhone equivalent. UPDATE: Just received a firmware update for my Grace Solo radio and now the app works fine. UPDATED: I installed the latest version for the "v26" firmware (since that is what I have), back to bad, again. Need the "v25" app. |
[2012-07-02] A Google User: Good idea - poor execution Stumbled across this droid app and thought it was a neat idea - but in reality it hasn't worked out. Seemed to install OK. Took a long time to find my radio. After that - hangs up frequently and gives force close errors. I have yet to be able to get as far as changing a station. Hope they continue to work out the bugs! |
[2012-06-24] A Google User: worst ap and hardware REGRET BUYING GRACE HARDWARE cant recommend either the Grace hardware or this application. Have owned a few network media devices (includes Turtle Beach AudioTron, Rio Receiver, and the Logitech Boom) this is by far the worst. Buyer Beware...choose another brand of hardware. Thankfully Grace has been updating the firmware I would imagine in an effort to fix the problems but they still have a long way to go. Hopefully they will continue to support my hardware (IRMS300). It sure would be nice if this device would just work as advertised. |
[2012-06-20] A Google User: Can't find my radio Grace digital bravado x. The a can't find my radio Grace digital bravado x. |
[2012-06-11] A Google User: Quit Working. Great when it works. Really nice, but locks occasionally. In the last few months, it never works unfortunately. Doesn't find my radio. |
[2012-06-09] A Google User: Garbage Put something out that works or take it down. |
[2012-06-06] A Google User: Update please Crash all the time |
[2012-05-31] A Google User: Crap Completely useless. Every bad review is dead on. I did find if you manually clear cache and data it almost works 10% of the time. The Roku app works great |
[2012-05-28] A Google User: Awesome App This app is the bomb, can we get to the point where we can create and save playlist... thanks and keep up the good work. |
[2012-05-27] A Google User: Hopeless |
[2012-05-24] A Google User: Could be better Please release an app for those of us with older radios. This has been a disappointment but now that the update isn't optimized for us early adopters it's even worse. |
[2012-05-23] A Google User: Completely broken This has the potential to be a decent app, but it has way too many bugs to even count. It's like having a nice car that's missing an engine. My advice to the developer is to fix this thing so I can enjoy some music. |
[2012-05-04] A Google User: Bugaliscious I make great use streaming internet-based radio stations, as well as Pandora. But I have to force close the app OFTEN because it cannot find the player; even though it was just connected. I don't mind this, but as a gift to my parents (our anyone not very tech-savvy), it's a big letdown. |
[2012-05-04] A Google User: Good idea, poor execution Constant connection problems and cannot discover the radio on a consistent basis. |
[2012-05-01] A Google User: Works much better on ics tablet than phone Great app. Almost always works on my transformer prime tablet. Often won't work on Droid bionic. |
[2012-04-04] A Google User: Never worked! it never found my radio. and I was sitting right next to it with it on. this thing is a joke. needs a lot of work. |
[2012-03-31] A Google User: Worked first time only. Can't connect to the radio after initial setup. Very amateurish app. |
[2012-03-22] A Google User: Needs fixing Works via WIFI - GDR2000 and GDI4400M with rooted Nook Color and Hero Cm7. Does not work with mp3tunes - only lists 10 albums and 10 albums, not the entire collection - they tell me it will be fixed in two weeks but that was ten weeks ago - similar problem with getting mp3tunes to fix big delays between playback of tracks - would not recommend that anyone purchase a Grace Radio given these ongoing problems. |
[2012-03-14] A Google User: Sucks eggs I stood right up to a radio and it didnt even find that!!!!!!!!!bull crap |
[2012-02-23] A Google User: Crap Worked once ! Try almost every day ,several times during the day and it never finds a radio ! Did work one time after I tried the cache clearing and rebooting the phone , but hasn't found the radio since about a month ago. Don't bother until they update it ,which they haven't bothered to do in almost a year !! |
[2012-02-19] A Google User: Even worse than mondo firmware Apps like this are what happens when the development team starts drinking too early in the day. Somehow, it's even worse than mondo firmware. Uninstalled. |
[2012-02-03] A Google User: Crash Crash Crash Not enough energy put into this very necessary app. EVO 4G, ton of issues; crashes, connectivity, force closing. Please update!!! |
[2012-01-16] A Google User: constant crashes and force closes I have LG Doubleplay Android phone. Just after instalation program worked well. Then asfter few minutes it started with constant crashes and force closes. It takes forever to connect to the radio. Poor design |
[2011-12-31] A Google User: Disappointed I am a huge Android fan, but I will say I had absolutely no problems hooking this up with my Apple iPod. It only opens if I am connected to wifi and even then, it won't find my radio. I am really disappointed and can't believe how bad this did with Android. |
[2011-12-22] A Google User: It's a pity! Wished it could have worked. Tried patiently but after hours and hours of trying I have to give up. |
[2011-12-20] A Google User: Have to re-install to find radio When it works it's great It has trouble finding my radio sometimes on my network. My radio is not even using wifi I have it plugged right into my LAN and my phone struggles to find it sometimes. I uninstalled the app and re-installed it and it started working again. The radio I purchased came with a remote but it has no display on the remote so it is somewhat worthless. This app on my phone was the perfect solution. |
[2011-12-17] A Google User: Buggy. Buggy as heck, constant crashes and force closes. Radio and its remote are tough enough to use, but at least THEY WORK. |
[2011-12-15] A Google User: Needs just a little work Amazing idea but execution is just a little off. 1 a song name on pandora would be nice. 2 use the Droids features! Seemed like an iphone app |
[2011-12-14] A Google User: Not bad Don't update the firmware in your radio. Once I did the remote did not work nearly as well. I exchanged it and keep the original firmware version. |
[2011-12-06] A Google User: Poor connectivity When it works it is awesome. Problem us I have to clear data under app settings every time I want it to connect. |
[2011-11-30] A Google User: :( Freezes, poor connectivity! |
[2011-11-14] A Google User: Spt Excellent considering its free. |
[2011-11-05] A Google User: Great when it works. Poor connectivity, search functions and reliability. Please fix. |
[2011-10-27] A Google User: Never work's |
[2011-10-16] A Google User: Super buggy Great when it works and is not crashing and rebooting radio. Locks up when trying to read menus from the radio. Randomly starts playing station. |
[2011-10-13] A Google User: An embarrasment! Crashes often, loses sync with radio, often have to clear cache to regain basic functionality. Not worth what I paid for it - and it's free... |
[2011-10-03] A Google User: Excellent app. It works very well. |
[2011-09-02] A Google User: Android version is substandard. Buggy! Frequently drops connection. My wife's iPhone version is far more stable. |
[2011-08-09] A Google User: Good remote control. Works great but at times will not find the radio; When this happens, just clear the apps data and cache. Running on SGS Vibrant CM7 |
[2011-08-06] A Google User: Does not work on android. Tried this on a g2 mobile and samsung galaxy. I am surprised grace would put such a poor app out there. |
[2011-07-29] A Google User: I really enjoy this app! Four stars only because it does hiccup occasionally. |
[2011-07-17] A Google User: Droid X. Grace GDI-IR3020. Amazing! Controls the best features of this $100.00 nightstand WIFI radio. Ipod, Pandora. 1000's of radio stations. |
[2011-06-19] Scott: Droid X. Grace GDI-IR3020. Amazing! Controls the best features of this $100.00 nightstand WIFI radio. Ipod, Pandora. Can freeze searching stations. |
[2011-06-17] A Google User: App needs let's of work. Locks up a lot. |
[2011-06-17] Randy: App needs let's of work. Locks up a lot. |
