One of the most important, influential and enduring new wave bands, Talking Heads regularly modified their sound, bringing in elements of punk, pop, african rhythms and funk among others to add to their original jerky stripped-down art-punk stylings.

Talking Heads first appeared on the New York music scene as a trio in 1974 essentially as art-punks. The band consisted of David Byrne, Chris Frantz, and Tina Weymouth. By 1975, Talking Heads recorded a demo album for CBS records and landed a gig opening for the Ramones at the legendary CBGB club in their native New York City.

Lifehouse is a post-grunge band pioneered by lead singer and songwriter Jason Wade. In the last ten years, Lifehouse has released five albums, debuting with the multi-platinum album No Name Face in the year 2000. The group includes Jason Wade (lead vocals, guitar), Rick Woolstenhulme Jr. (drums, percussion), Bryce Soderberg (bass guitar) and Ben Carey (guitar). The Script are Danny O’Donoghue, Mark Sheehan and Glen Power from Dublin, Ireland.

After reaching number fifteen in the charts with their 2008 debut single We Cry, their second single The Man Who Can’t Be Moved peaked at number two. Their debut album The Script was released on the 11th August 2008, and went straight to number one on iTunes both in Ireland and the United Kingdom. Their third single Breakeven was released on the 10th of November 2008, peaking at number 21 in the UK singles charts. The band went on to release two more singles from their debut: Talk You Down and Before The Worst.

Within Temptation is a band from The Netherlands. Despite being labeled by the media as a gothic metal band, Within Temptation consider themselves “more a symphonic rock/metal band … we are in my opinion no Gothic band”.

The band consists of vocalist Sharon den Adel, guitarist Robert Westerholt, Jeroen Van Veen (bass), Martijn Spierenburg (keyboards) and Ruud Adrianus Jolie (guitars).

The Bloodhound Gang is a satirical American alternative rock band from Collegeville, Pennsylvania, United States, mixing a punk sound with hip-hop and more recently europop. The group formed in 1992. They are originally from Quakertown, Pennsylvania. The band is best known for 1999’s rap-rock satire “The Bad Touch”, along with their 1996 breakthrough “Fire Water Burn”.

Formed in 1986 in Anaheim, California, United States as a ska punk band inspired by Madness, the lineup of No Doubt initially comprised John Spence as lead vocal, Gwen Stefani on back-up vocal, and Eric Stefani on keyboards. While playing the party-band circuit around Anaheim, the trio picked up bassist Tony Kanal. Hardened by the suicide of Spence in December 1987, No Doubt nevertheless continued; Gwen became the lone vocalist and the group added guitarist Tom Dumont and drummer Adrian Young. During their early years on the party scene, they played with Sublime, and Brad Nowell sang on No Doubt’s Total Hate 95.
