Fine Volume Control V2 (Trial) (v. 2.1.4) Разработано Opotech |
This is a 7-day time-limited but fully featured trial.
Fine Volume Control 2.0 gives the ability to change volume in 1% increments and adds an optional replacement for the standard on-screen volume dialog which includes a dial to help adjust the volume when not in-app. It also allows access to lower volume levels.
If you can never find the perfect volume level or you want to go below 1 bar of volume, then this app is a must-have.
Features:
• 100 volume stages instead of 15 (excludes in-call volume)
• Lower volume than any other app allows (below the regular 1-bar)
• System volume dialog replacement - change volume with the dial when not in the app (similar to Ice Cream Sandwich/ICS style volume popup)
• 4 Volume profiles/presets
• More precise volume control
• Option to disable overlay when in certain apps (e.g. games or alarm clock)
• Choose any interface colour
• Fully customisable volume dial size and sensitivity
• Works with headphones
• Launcher icon to bring up the dial overlay (for devices which do not automatically show it when changing volume)
FAQ
Why does Fine volume control report a different volume level than other apps do?
Our app allows you to access a larger range of volume levels than the default Android system allows (and reports volume in respect to the wider range). It varies between devices, but the standard volume levels are not evenly distributed over the available range. E.g. 1/15 media volume may correspond to 30% of the actual possible volume range.
Why is the app running in the background?
The service is used to display the overlay (when you press the volume keys), it uses very little memory and almost no CPU time. if you disable the overlay option the service will stop and you can continue just using the main app.
Why does the volume stop at 50%?
The media volume is limited to 50% by default when using a headset, this can be changed in the preferences.
2 users have reported a possible issue with the volume jumping to high levels when using the dial on the overlay.
Can the volume go any lower?
Yes! Under Advanced Preferences, select Volume Level and then select a lower setting.
Volume jumping/Incorrect profile values being loaded
Under advanced preferences, select "Volume accuracy fix". If this does not help, use the "Do not modify API volume" option.
Beware this has some side-effects: When you modify the volume using this app, other apps will be unaware of the change and will think the volume is at a different level. This may cause un-expected jumps if you use other volume control apps or the hardware buttons.
E.g. set media volume to 1/15 using another app, then set to 60% using fine volume control; the other app will still think the volume is at 1/15.
*** CAUTION ***
There is a bug that affects some devices/ROMs and causes the volume to briefly jump to a high value when you change the volume. Unknown cause and no fix available.
Fine volume control unlocker upgrades both the old and new versions of this app.
Please note: This app does not work with FM Radio apps (Internet radio apps do work).

[2012-11-20] Lucy: Can't get it to work on my new Galaxy S3 I can't get this to work on my Galaxy S3, which is running the latest 4.1.1 OS. Does this app not support it? I wish there was a way I could contact the developers to get some support cause I really need this app!! My ears are killing me when I plug my headphones in. |
[2012-11-19] Robert: Fantastic! A great app that let's me adjust the volume in increments of one for precision. Bought the full version almost immediately after trying out the trial version. Thanks for making such a useful app. |
[2012-11-19] Nicole: Great app |
[2012-11-16] Michael: Brilliant App Works really well. Easy to use. |
[2012-11-14] leonardo: Volume control Fantastico es una aplicacion que sirve para Tada clace de Musica Agaralo Haora nopierde tienpo. |
[2012-11-14] Michael: Finally! I have a set of Shure in ear headphones and the volume on these is much higher than standard headphones - I felt that even the lowest volume might have damaged my eating after 8 hours in the office listening to music. This app does exactly what it said it would - really easy to access and intuitive volume control. Happily listening on 1% volume instead of old 3% minimum. |
[2012-11-10] pepamint: Does not work on FM radio Lowest volume on my Samsung SII FM radio is too loud. This app had no effect at all...disappointing.. |
[2012-11-04] Greg: Awful As soon as I altered it for low volume for media, it triggered a constant thumping hum through my headphones. Uninstalled but it was only when phone was rebooted that it disappeared. Not good. |
[2012-10-31] Kyle: Works well This program works as advertised, but the volume display pop up is a bit annoying but if you turn off the display your back to the old default volume control. |
[2012-10-19] Chris: Great for lower sound than phone default. It is what I needed to be able to make my musics volume go lower than the default setting and smaller increments. Needs more options for the price. |
[2012-10-18] Roy: Chief By far the best volume control I've tried. Solid 5 stars for me. |
[2012-10-16] Scott: Outstanding!! Finally lets me get the right volume on sensitive headphones, thank you! |
[2012-10-16] Lurppa: No fine tuning ringtone 20% is the minimum level for ringing volume and it's still too loud. What's the point? |
[2012-10-14] Tadeusz: Generally not working.. |
[2012-10-05] Jason: Does what it says! GS3 running CM 10 |
[2012-09-29] Ahmad Afif: aptb i like the sound |
[2012-09-27] kristopher: Great app Could use even finer adjustment on the beggining but great |
[2012-09-25] Alan: Not Incredible 4 Doesn't work for headphones on Incredible 4g - jumps from 8% to 0% without changing level. |
[2012-09-17] David: Very handy. Bought the unlock well before the trial ran out. Worth the money, and seemed to be the only app of its type on the market. Licence checker is kind of annoying though. |
[2012-09-13] Crystal: Great app! I found the actual Droid4 volumes to be rather high and this app makes having my ringtones on much more bearable. |
[2012-09-11] the 9/13/2012 1 star 4th time its asked me to validate and connect to internet when i have bought the unocked version. Not always using home wifi. |
[2012-09-06] Dennis: 5 stars ! One of the get apps ever ! |
[2012-09-06] Kurtis: No effect. Unfortunately doesn't work on my rom it seems. Jellybomb domination rom 4.0 galaxy s3. I really need this app though so I hope we'll see a patch soon! |
[2012-09-02] Stefan: CLASS Ap A VERY ELEGANT & usefull AP, well suited for android. Be interesting to see where it goes from here! |
[2012-08-30] Justin: great great app. i can lower the volume below my phones system default, and it helps me fall asleep. |
[2012-08-14] Miron: Not working Well this app as one of its kind is useless on huawei mediapad with 4.0.3 firmware,it simply does not work |
[2012-08-13] Viktor: Not working - Samsung Galaxy s2 Doesn't work on my phone (Samsung Galaxy s2). Volume control does nothing at all for media volume control except mute the phone when it reaches the lowest setting. Then volume won't go back up at all using the app volume control, so I have to use the default phone volume control to get my sound back. Fail. I was hoping for some finer control below the standard 1 setting, unfortunately this is not the ticket. |
[2012-08-13] Raymond: Works pretty well, doesn't override enough This app does its job and lets me adjust the volume in smaller increments than my phone (Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket running ICS) natively supports. When I use the hardware controls to adjust the volume, it sometimes adjusts the volume in increments of 1% but more commonly in increments of ~6%. When adjusting the volume with the hardware buttons, two UIs fill up the screen: the app's volume control interface, and the default one. This is mildly irritating when watching videos. I recommend doing the trial. |
[2012-08-06] Hiep: Works ok I guess Using earphones on the galaxy s3 with this app. Can only adjust the fine controls via the on screen controller. I wish it could modify the side volume rocker so that it will only increase and decrease by 1%, because right now each step up is too much. Also the volume rocker doesn't obey the volume limiter and goes well beyond what I set. Fix these issues and ill gladly give it a try again. |
[2012-08-05] Reinard: Fast response when fixing bugs Absolutely I am satisfied by customer service when I was requesting to fix bugs on my phone. This program is only ordinary volume controller but it may makes your music player more elegant because you can set many sound profiles easily. |
[2012-08-04] Dan: Great app Works perfectly, exactly what I was looking for |
[2012-08-03] Alan: Okay for what it is Doesn't change volume increments for the actual volume keys on the side of the phone. Otherwise, great. |
[2012-08-01] Richard: Factory reset needed Could be a coincidence but my Galaxy SII froze and wouldn't boot up 30 mins after installing. Thankfully I was backed up. |
[2012-07-31] Alex: Poor Terrible app, fiddles with everything and has volune jumps, and you cant read the advanced preferences properly, apart from bad writing. Would never buy this. Also, why the f+*# does it need internet connectivity??? Gosh. |
[2012-07-27] Todd: That 1% Finally a way to bring the volume down to 1 percent. Helps with night listening and all volume controls are in 1 place. |
[2012-07-25] Laurence: Handy Useful Works well. But tedious internet license checker that pops up regularly anyone doesnt want. Dev whats this for ive paid for the unlocker. Do they think im ripping them off. |
[2012-07-25] Adarsh: Great Idea This is a great app to use if your volume is too high at its lowest. The only bad thing about it is that a menu with a large dial appears every time you change the volume, and it won't go away when you touch the screen. Personally, I don't think it needs the dial! Five stars when there is an option for that! |
[2012-07-24] Rian: Didn't work Droid bionic. Put it on my phone and just doesn't load. I get a screen then a force close. Wish it would work, but my trial is going to run out so no way to know if I want it. |
[2012-07-24] Eden: Does what it says. Perfect Brings up a wheel to modify volume from 1%-100% which is a great idea over the slider bar. Good app! |
[2012-07-20] Christopher: Hmmm. Samsung Galaxy S3, ICS, Verizon. Doesn't play well with my phone. Sets notifications volume to 0%. Ringer volume and music volume are mutually exclusive. One turns on while the other goes to 0%. I'd be willing to give this another try if it were updated. I really wanted this to work since the lowest headphone volume is too loud with my headphones and I wanted finer control. |
[2012-06-24] Ge: Phone Volume Togger Everything is good with this app, this is the only app that I can use since my phones volume doesn't work with headphones. The only thing I would like changed is using the volume toggle in the phone to change the volume instead of sliding the bar. |
[2012-06-21] Ivan: Fufills purpose but could improve Good for precise controlling of volume but interface could be less intrusive and more attractive |
[2012-06-19] olee: Find volume control |
[2012-06-18] Dean: Does the job. Lowers the volume to below the minimum on my phone and tablet. Exactly what i wanted. |
[2012-06-18] Nel: Just what I needed Installed moments ago, in order to reduce the volume of the music when playing in a very quiet setting to a lower level than the stock volume control would let me. So far so good, it does just what it says it does. I would like to know why it needs Internet connectivity, I would give it 5 stars if it were not for the apparently unnecessary access. |
[2012-06-14] KATORA: Yw |
[2012-06-11] Nikolas: Incredible Works great on my device, very functional and customizable but also intuitive and easy to use. |
[2012-06-06] Benjamin: Very useful to be able to turn volume lower than phone's default lowest as i listen to music very quietly at night- but it is very buggy and even with fixes in settings turned on it is unusable as default volume control for me. |
[2012-06-05] Dan: Works great |
[2012-06-04] Scott: Just what I was looking for I found the lowest headphone volume setting for my Samsung Droid Charge too loud when listening to podcasts while falling asleep. This app allowed me to adjust the volume just right. |
[2012-06-01] Rachel: Whow Lets see |
[2012-05-30] Banta: Awais Good |
[2012-05-19] Lucy: Great app Really useful. Without this app my headphones were always far too loud. |
[2012-05-19] Nicholas: Great! This is perfect for heavy music listeners. The only thing that sucks is that it needs to connect to the internet occasionally, which is stupid and unnecessary. |
[2012-05-15] Paul: Bugs Really like the functionality but the volume control randomly appears when not needed,.annoying if in the middle of a game or watching media as the screen is then covered with volume control. |
[2012-05-04] Joel: Precision Volume Control Works good. Should also allow control of phone call volume. Some audio file types dont seem to work (reverts to system control level). Add these for 5 stars! |
[2012-04-14] the 5/1/2012 : Great!! Exactly what I needed! Say I'm nit-picky, but the android default increments were way to large in-between for me and this app lets me go in between those volume jumps with 1% increments. Great for when its quiet and I want to listen to something, but don't want to have to grab headphones all the time |
[2012-04-10] Huang: Ripoff Doesn't work on Samsung s2.. sad.. please someone help to do 1 |
[2012-04-09] Peter: Needs CM9/ICS Update Not lowering minimum volume in ICS 4.0.4. |
[2012-04-09] anthony: Useless BIG RIPP-OFF I wouldn't pay for something that does the same as my phone volume!! BIG RIP-OFF!! UNINSTALLED! |
[2012-04-08] Aiden: does not work fm radio does not work sgs2 |
[2012-04-03] Paul: Works inconsistently. This only works when the phone is unlocked ... even then it doesn't seem to function consistently. Galaxy S2. |
[2012-03-26] Tony: . Downloaded to fix issues with volume being too loud even on lowest setting on radio fio galaxy s2. The app did not solve this problem. Cant comment on its other functions as i did not test them. Might work fine but didnt do what i needed |
[2012-03-24] Maggie: Fine Volume Control Fantastic App, great sound control over everything on your phone with multiple settings that can be quickly changed for your convenience eg: choose a quieter mode for meetings or when at the pictures, then a few clicks and your same settings are now louder for outdoors. Love it, I have bought only two apps- this is one of those. A few dollars for such a brilliant app. Maggie |
[2012-03-16] Mark: Overlay not working tablet 2.2 Would have been perfect for my car tablet but the volume overlay feature not working. I can manually launch the overlay, but the volume buttons are still linked to the system volume (only 8 settings) Viewpad7 2.2 |
[2012-03-14] Mike: Galaxy S2 Can someone tell me how to adjust the media volume at its lowest level. Levels 1 to 5% in the app all appear to be the same, and correspond to the previous lowest level selectable on the device. This first increment is too loud on headphones. Thanks. |
[2012-03-12] David: Good Functionally this app is great. It allows me to listen to music on my tablet and phone with headphones at work comfortably. It could be a little more refined and designed a little better to get to 5 stars. |
[2012-03-06] Alex : Just what I was looking for This is great normal Epic Touch 4g volume levels were too loud even at the lowest setting this app fixes that I love that you can use the proximity sensor to open the overlay I say its more convenient then the volume rocker 5 stars!! |
[2012-03-02] Michael PY: Allowe me to keep some bluetooth headphones I recently purchased some Sony Ericsson HBHIS800 headphones. The problem is that my Atrix4G was too loud for them even at the lowest volume setting. The volume on the phone has volume adjustments from 1 to 15 and I apparently needed something to go between 0 and 1. I tried a few other volume apps but none of them helped. This app was exactly what i needed. My only problem is, when i get an email notification, the volume i adjusted on the Fine Volume Control gets overridden and it is changed to setting 1 on the phone. I have to go back in to the volume control and turn it back down. I am still looking at how to stop this from happening but other than that, i am happy with it. |
[2012-02-27] Daniel: Just what I was needing I was having a problem where the music volume was either too loud or too quiet - I needed an app that could allow for finer adjustments to the volume. This app seems to be the only one in the market that can do this. It is a little buggy. Volume would instantly jump up to 100 for a split second before returning to it's original place but ticking the "Do not modify API volume" option fixed this. It would be very nice if the volume rocker could be used to make these finer adjustments in the music player - not just in the actual volume app itself (if possible). Also, if you change the volume with the overlay and then change it with the volume rocker the volume will revert back to the previous volume set by the volume rocker which makes using the volume rocker to bring up the overlay inconvenient. It would be great if you could assign an actual button on the phone to bring up the overlay (perhaps holding the search button down). You can tap the proximity sensor to bring it up but I am a little wary of leaving this on all the time. |
[2012-02-20] bruce: Needs volume button support Does not work with volume rocker |
[2012-02-18] Michael: Works pretty well Doesn't have full functionality with my phone/carrier, but does keep me from blowing out my eardrums with my a-jays |
[2012-02-11] Omran: Awesome What would make it better is the option to disable the dial and just have the moveable bar in the overlay |
[2012-01-29] AJ: Wish it had equalizer or atleast balance control Wish it had equalizer or atleast balance control |
[2012-01-28] John: Great app This was the app that made my phone (Huawei U8800) complete. |
[2012-01-27] Simon: Only thing like it available Very valuable app highly recommended. Very configurable to your personal needs |
[2012-01-23] blake: Fine Volume Control Allows high resolution volume adjustment. With high quality earphones the minimum volume can be too loud. Fine volume control allows me to reduce the minimum volume. I also like having configurable volume profiles. |
[2012-01-17] Herbert: Works, but... Samsung Galaxy S2: Works for media volume, but only after setting advanced volume setting to 'low' (not extra low). Unfortunately doesn't work for FM radio, which is still way too loud. |
[2012-01-12] Valerie: Didn't do anything Samsung galaxy s2 |
[2012-01-11] Justin: Perfect! You can make the fine adjustments to suit your needs. And the touch screen wheel is nice too. |
