This application teaches you how to play Lamba in sound and motion, a West-African drumrhythm.
The program offers:
• Step by step learning the beats in sound and motion
in a delayed tempo;
• Virtually play on the djembé and bassdrums;
• Cultural information about the rhythm;
• More sections, example: djembe1, djembe2,
doundoun, sangban, kenkeni etc (these last 3
are bassdrums, part of a set douns);
• Listening to the rhythm in original tempo.
You can exercise on a live instrument, but also on the
instruments in the application!
Lamba is only one of the djembérhythms that
African Essentials offers. Others are Dounoumba,
Kassa, Kakilambé, Kuku. More rhythms for the
Android are now developing.
