This application teaches you how to play Kassa in sound and motion, a West-African drumrhythm.
The program offers:
• Step by step learning the beats in sound and motion
in a delayed tempo;
• Virtually play on the djembé and bassdrums;
• Cultural information about the rhythm;
• More sections, example: intro, djembe1, djembe2,
doundoun, sangban, kenkeni;
• Listening to the rhythm in original tempo.
You can exercise on a live instrument, but also on the
instruments in the application!
Dounoumba is only one of the djembérhythms that
African Essentials offers. Others are Lamba, Kassa, Kakilambé, Kuku. More rhythms for the Android are now developing.
African Essentials offers you a digital and mobile study in music. You can teach yourself a whole collection of worldmusic rhythms. One of the next udates we add notation to the rhythms.
Besides the rhythms on the djembé we also offer musical study on: doundoun, sangban, kenkeni, shékère, balaphone, kora, ngoni and more…….
Keep in touch through the websites
http://www.african-essentials.com and http://market.android.com, because also other worldmusic instruments will soon be offered. For example the kalimba, the darbuka and the tabla.
