[2012-10-30] marty: Finally! This is the *ONLY* flac player I have found which will get out of the way and let Media Button Router work. Every other app tried would monopolize the bluetooth controls and not play nice. Thanks!! |
[2012-10-29] Paul: Doesn't appear to work Uninstalling |
[2012-10-28] Surfpup: Save Session? This app does almost everything I want it to, but I would like to continue playing the playlist where I left off. Edit: Also, it restarts an album from the beginning while in album shuffle mode, after the app is closed or restarted. Due to this annoyance, I can't use the album shuffle mode, so I guess I'll try to find a way to randomize the playlist some other way. I'll send an email about this when I get the chance. |
[2012-10-20] the 10/22/2012 Moto Plays everything. |
[2012-10-09] Mikey: Jellybean crashes Would love to use this as its great on my Linux desktop, unfortunately whenever I try to add anything to a playlist on Jellybean it crashes back to home and it won't play anything =( |
[2012-10-07] Wolf Windshadow: Fail Crashes every run |
[2012-10-05] Craig: If only... ...this app allowed viewing by genre. |
[2012-10-03] Bastian Baltasar: Wonderful! This is a very nice player, love the minimalistic style like in foobar. A library would be great thpugh! |
[2012-10-01] Cuong: Best audio plyer Works grate n very nice design..with plgins this app play all my classic nes snes file ..thank youuuu |
[2012-10-01] David: Works awesome on PC Not on my android though... Crashes when i try to add more songs to playlist(~1000 songs); Otherwise its good. |
[2012-10-01] HaRMaN: Flac seek support! ! Awesome 1st impression.. |
[2012-09-26] midnight: Samsung Galaxy tab P1010 it's not playing again on my device. uninstalled the app. will have it re-installed after the developer fix the issue. thank you and blessed be)O( |
[2012-09-20] Jesse: Great app, Musepack support Love this app. Been using it for a year now. Currently on a SGS3 and seems to be a small bug in the EQ. The preamp seems to be acting as some kind of low frequency filter instead of a preamp. |
[2012-09-15] An: Pretty good player Pros: Easy to use, clean UI - Built in 10 band EQ with ability to create presets - Good sound, worthy note is the inclusion of a form of anti-clipping to keep loud music from distorting --- Cons: Seems a little power hungry, has already used 6% battery with ~10 minutes of use - Has to have plugin pack installed to play formats that are natively supported by the OS --- In betweens: Playlists are easy enough to create, but it would be nice to have a Foobar-like media list so I could simply designate my Music folder and then just queue up albums or songs at will instead of having to navigate the directories. ~Ryan |
[2012-09-13] cjs419: Make no mistake, this is the true dark horse... Finally no more testing audio apps. This is the best. Hi quality audio output with basic usability and stability. Finally a music player that doesn't heat up my battery. Thank you for sucking less. |
[2012-09-12] Ernest: Awesome Plays my wav files like I need it too.. The import could have been user friendly though in the beginning. |
[2012-09-11] sep: Cuesheet support I love the way this app handle cuesheets. Possibly the best on the Play Store. |
[2012-09-09] StefanPetrucci: Bad Crashed both times I tried to import music to library. |
[2012-09-03] Austin: ReplayGain for free! The only music player on the market that lets you utilize ReplayGain for free. Not a huge fan of the color scheme but the functionality is there. Holo design would be wonderful. |
[2012-09-02] pitermach: A big problem This app didn't seem to like Easy answer for some reason, when ever I'd get a call and pressed the button I assigned to answer it, deadbeef would randomly start playing music and the call would get rejected. And since i'm blind the speech was drowned out, so I had to restart the phone to get things sorted. |
[2012-08-30] Andrew: Not good. |
[2012-08-29] retrotails: Broken Usually awesome, as of the latest update it plays nothing. |
[2012-08-29] Jonathan: It works great. After a rocky start DeadBeaF is now up and running great. Definately a good music player. But it need the capability to select a single file(s) rather than a folder. |
[2012-08-29] tom: Force closed Installed it, force closed when I opened it uninstalling |
[2012-08-28] Daniel: Best music player I've tried! You have to install the plug-ins if you want to be able to play everything this player supports. The only thing I wish this player had was the ability to add one file to the playlist by clicking on it in the file browser. The file highlights when you click on it, but nothing happens. I got pro because I wanted to support the author and have all the features and none of the ads. :) |
[2012-08-26] Петренко: Херня Полная |
[2012-08-24] Lance: Nice - Now Stop Adding Crap. This is a nice tight player. It plays by folder and also shoutcast streams. Neat addition of a graphic equalizer. I don't need or care about album art so I won't be updating. Dev, do yourself a favor and stop adding useless functions while you're still ahead. |
[2012-08-23] Thomas: Got worse? And stayed a simple music player. Cluttered now, can I go back to older version, without album art? |
[2012-08-21] Jon: Best player for Icecast. And I've tried them all. This one updates the metadata properly; other players have a skip in the audio when the song changes. Excellent EQ with custom presets. Developer is very responsive. |
[2012-08-15] Marco: Love it Let me play my WAV export out of Ableton with no headaches. Thank you for a great app. |
[2012-08-07] Kris: Please fix album art problem You can't search for songs and when you have a lot of music, scrolling to find one song is impossible. Doesn't refresh when you add new music. |
[2012-08-05] Joseph: Very good Search is missing but otherwise great |
[2012-08-02] Simo: Why don't other music players do this? This app is very simple and easy to use. It does exactly what I want from a music app: I have over the years categorised all my music into folders and want to play folders and this app does it! Awesome! I've tried over 10 other music apps from the market and this single feature is constantly missing. Only one feature I'm missing is a lockscreen play controls, but I can live without them. |
[2012-08-01] Hattab: Good, but not the best. The player is fast, stable and nice. But there 's two things missing. First, it's handset button control. There's no ability to switch track back by handset button, only pause and forward. Second is PSF support. Droidsound by Swimsuit Boys have it, using SexyPSF. Why don't you implement it? Then your player will be a bomb. |
[2012-07-30] Stars: Nice GUI! Keep it up! :) |
[2012-07-28] Tako: My favorite music player! Latest update fixed my inability to open this app. Clean and simple UI. choosing music files to put in playlist from folders over auto sync is a must, which Deadbeef provides. Only wish I could change the color scheme. |
[2012-07-28] John: Only one filling my requirements This is the only player on Android currently filling all my requirements (Musepack and ReplayGain at the top). Also, handles bug reports very quickly and very well. |
[2012-07-27] Doctor: Almost perfect Get rid of the ads and it will be perfect. |
[2012-07-27] Yurii: Simply amazing New update made the experience even better, didn't think it could've gotten any better than it already was but you did it anyways. 10/10 will install again. |
[2012-07-26] Nick: Close to perfection... I have but one gripe and one alone. The ID3 tags don't consistently show for me. Otherwise, ReplayGain and FLAC support for free... What more could I ask for?! |
[2012-07-25] Chris: Suck Moto triumph cm7 always asks to install plug ins. Never plays any songs. Will not add songs to playlists and will not accept folder selection. Uninstalling. |
[2012-07-24] Damian: Find something else for streaming music. Can't seem to play Shoutcast streams. User interface is pretty, but unintuitive. |
[2012-07-13] mpie: Known and loved player had arrived for Android Alexey my friend, glad to see your player on Android. Mpiekp |
[2012-07-05] Terence: excellent player excellent player that can handle on-device music, organized by folders, as well as streaming music, all in the same playlist. would love to have a sleep timer function. otherwise, it's pretty much exactly what i need. |
[2012-07-02] Bindesh: ok slow in creating playlist.i have used linux ver. android ver. needs improvement. |
[2012-06-30] Siro: "browse file" doesn't work "browse file" doesn't work |
[2012-06-28] Zeljko: Crash Ad folder – Crash |
[2012-06-23] Indrora: Decent, but needs a few features Nice handling of OGG streams, but it'd be great to have a way to load (a) remote streams and (b) remote files. Seeing that would make it on-par with just building mpeg123 for my device. |
[2012-06-22] Martin: Best I've tried Great player, good quality sound and very simple GUI. Only problem is when the widget is displayed in Car Mode, the track name does not update. Have to go into full app, then back to widget to update. |
[2012-06-22] Kyle: Best music player I looked high and low for a player that would allow me to shuffle a folder, something that is apparently lacking on Android until now. This app can do it with no trouble at all, and it even features gapless playback, which many other music players are sadly missing. Go ahead, hit that download button. You know you want to. |
[2012-06-17] mithun: *** Good |
[2012-06-11] dxt: simple but excellent |
[2012-06-11] fatejd: No Audiomanager == bad experience. Make use of audiomanager and stock OS version UI elements and I'll buy it. |
[2012-06-10] Иван: Чуть ли не единственное приложение, играющее icecast-стримы в ogg. Жаль только, что название песни не обновляется |
[2012-05-24] giri: Elegant! Simple and elegant player. |
[2012-05-22] Nom: Decent The equalizer is great and the UI is simple and functional. The inability to sort the files makes it annoying to guns specific songs |
[2012-05-19] Luis: Great interface, great app! It would be nice to be able to just browse and play one song, altough playlists work fine. There are no equalizer presets loaded with the app. The interface looks great! I love it, Best player I've found so far. The lockscreen widget is excellent, very useful. Keep improving, you're doing great! |
[2012-05-15] Max: Pretty Good Выбирал из нескольких известных, пока остановился на этом. Довольно прост, главное для меня - есть навигация по папкам. |
[2012-05-12] raymond: So far so good It is so hard to find a free android flax player. And this apps is looking good for me. |
[2012-05-07] Mint: Thank you. Finally someone made a free music player with flac and equlizer. Isn't deadbeef opensource. If so link to sourcecode in description. |
[2012-05-02] vishal: Suck... Asking every time to install free plugin as I have already installed it. Can't open. Fix it. >>Vishal dhamnekar >> Xperia X8 2.3.7 (GingerDX Rom ) |
[2012-04-23] david: Good! So far, the only player that actually detects and plays my flac files. A nicer equalizer and a lock screen (an unobtrusive, like Motorola's own music player) would make this a prime app |
[2012-04-22] gonX: My favorite player, but needs some work By far my favorite player because of RG and Gapless support. Unfortunately, the playlist management is crap (especially in landscape mode) and it doesn't seem all that snappy as I would have expected, but, it does play everything I need the way I need them to. |
[2012-04-13] andrei: can't add file or folders |
[2012-04-12] Saša: Best Flac player on Android ! I love it...interface is beautiful and needs small design improvements but most important is the sound and DeaDBeeF has it |
[2012-04-09] Matson: Best sound quality Using deadbeef on linux as well! Tho the player on android seems cant read albumart correctly. Also need to polish the UI a little bit... |
[2012-04-08] Vitaly: Nice player Tried only for listening to ape. I'd like to group songs in albums, otherwise too looong list |
[2012-04-05] Christopher: Almost perfect. The UI needs a little work, when going through list of music it will switch to playlist list. I'm guessing its really sensitive. Also needs option to sort out spc and nsf files. Other then that plays flawlessly. Thank you |
[2012-04-04] Venc: Better than other players, but there should be possibility to add/edit default title for streams in playlist (or files without tags). |
[2012-04-03] Nick: Works great! Gapless playback seems to better than the other players. One thing I'd wish for is more formats. |
[2012-04-01] ta: メインのプレイヤーとは別に併用するのにいい感じです。 |
[2012-03-27] galaxySandroid: Works for wav files There are many players in the store. I could get only this one for free which works out of 20 odd which can play my voicemail wav file in email. Thanks! |
[2012-03-23] Chris: GARBAGE IT AMAZES ME HOW MANY JUNK APPS GOOGLE LETS INTO THEIR "MARKET" |
[2012-03-21] burning shadow: Battery eater Loved this player for Musepack SV8 support and gapless playback, but recent versions started consuming too much battery power. |
[2012-03-18] Mathew: Long standing bugs not fixed Crashes randomly upon orientation change. 8-bit samples in .it files are nothing but noise still. These bugs are over a year old. |
[2012-03-15] alex: A good app + the equaliser is a nice touch, but i just wish it would actualy play my songs rather than cuting out all the time.~ samsung galaxy europa |
[2012-03-09] Tony: I Like It Not a manager, a player. You save your music into folders- directories- albums whatever you want to call them and make play lists from them. The interface takes a bit of figuring out but it's easy enough to use, loop a track or album, random tracks or albums and the audio quality is great. Think I'll go for the paid option to support this developer. Galaxy S II |
[2012-03-09] Winson: Looks great How can I show cover photo when not embedded into mp3 files? |
[2012-02-24] Mohd Zakhri: Awesome, But album art not loaded? |
[2012-02-23] wez: Not too bad. Album art not loaded for cue. Need to manually add mp3 if no playlist file. Better widget in pro version? |
[2012-02-23] Morgan: As far as adware goes .. gorgeous. Looks and works great on gingerbread Superior |
[2012-02-23] vsp: Review of DeadBeef Player Wonderful player. Evaluation as below: (+) ReplayGain (+) Simplicity (+) Lightweight (+) FLAC support (-) Power hungry on Motorola Milestone (-) Does not remember song position on quit/halt (-) Interface needs some getting used to (-) No *easy* search feature within playlist :-( |
[2012-02-18] Henrik: slow slow slow can't add single song just directories, adding songs takes years, playing a song in loop takes years to restart. |
[2012-02-16] ManChun: Great Simple sikn |
[2012-01-28] somedolphin: Sounds great Thanks! |
[2012-01-27] Tanath: Good player, supporting lots of formats, but sorely needs to be able to search your library, and doesn't play chiptune/game music very well. |
[2012-01-27] mityaz: Разочаровався Под линукс работает хорошо. Тут же поедает до 20% процессора. Стандартный плеер всего лишь 1%. Удалил... |
[2012-01-26] Nobody: Does what it sets out to do For those with different types of music files, you'll be delighted to know that this app has you covered. For those that also like being able to quickly locate and sort through their library, you'll be disappointed to know that this app lacks that. You are unable to choose how you want your songs organized, so going through your library looking for certain songs may be a pain. This app also offers very little in the way of customizable options. That all being said, Deadbeef does work and works well. I've encountered no slow visible slowdowns, freezes, or crashes since installing it. If your looking for an app that just "works" and promotes functionality over fashion, this may be your app. |
[2012-01-25] Ben: Good Plays .nsf ... Im happy |
[2012-01-25] Peter: Great Love the look, like an old style LCD look to it..its actually good for free. Give it a try. Big thanks to dev for responding to email and fixing ogg vorbis gap issue. All great now. Have bought pro version Just would love ability to manual search for album art. |
[2012-01-20] Toxi Tony: Excellent the Only free player working in ICS, plays True audio files with cue sheets. Works like a charm on SGS with voodoo |
[2012-01-16] Gary & Nora: Simple & elegant Clean interface looks nice. Plays FLAC well. Could use a short explanation of features for us non-geeks. Have not been able to get covers display even if embedded in FLAC files. |
[2012-01-10] Azmie: Awesome! Love the EQ. Thank you so much! |
[2012-01-09] Alan-Michael: Loving this player more with every update! Give us the ability to add a single track at a time rather than folders only, and you get the 5th star. |
[2012-01-09] canis: wont open doesn't open on my tablet. Asus Eee Pad Transformer. uninstalled. |
[2012-01-07] Adam: Poor Wont play anything on nook color cm7 |
[2012-01-02] Sam: Simple, but A nice, simple FLAC player, but it is so simple that I wonder why it is 2.2MB (bigger when installed, and even bigger when adding the extra decoers for MP3, etc.). Still, it would have been good enough for me, except that it stops playing when my phone goes to standby mode (LG C710, Android 2.1), whereas WinAmp keeps playing. Oh yeah, it seems to crash far too often. |
[2011-12-30] Rick: Buggy, prone to freezing, but does play flac on my phone (unlike the last 5 I tried). Interface is retro looking, I like. Needs work, has potential! |
[2011-05-09] iz: Plays flac great on honeycomb, hope development continues on this. |
