This AV Controller app will turn your Android device into a Wi-Fi enabled remote control for your Yamaha network products(*). This App provides you the flexibility to control the available inputs, volume, mute and power commands. It lets users change a song from Internet Radio, USB and command FM/AM tuners or any other internally available source. Music Play feature allows you to stream music tracks directly from your Android Device to Yamaha network products to so you can enjoy high quality music through your AV system.
Screen sizes of Tablet devices are also supported.

Only one thing missing... Would be perfect if it also let me use it to stream to my phone from the other devices. I know the idea is I listen to the music on the receiver but occasionally I have other needs.

must have if you own yamaha network receaver what great app... love to use it with Pandora and just switching inputs and settings of my receiver. the app is not perfect. but hopefully over time it will be polished and improved.

Quite a good controller Good controller which could be improved by a search function for tracks and internet radio stations. Also gets a bit tedious reloading albums and tracks with each menu. It would be great if there was some sort of storage of the names of tracks locally on the phone/tablet that will self update as you go speeding up the process. I've not got a dedicated music server but put my music on a WD network drive which seems to work out.

Keeps dropping wifi connection What a shame!.... This is potentially an EXCELLENT app from yamaha that should seriously improve the experience of buying yamaha AV or Bluray players..... it is intuitive, easy to use (easier than the complicated remote) and gives access to most functions you need... BUT..... it seems incapable of holding onto a decent wifi signal, particularly when your android device goes into standby mode! I want to be able to control the AV throughput the evening not just when the app wants to be connected!

Good for my Yamaha but bad program. Most functionality worked but I could not play audio from my android device. The real problem is that this app drains my battery even when its not active. I.e. whatever it uses for device discovery and notifications never turns off even if the app itself is not being used.

Great App Very happy with the usability of the app on both my Xoom and One X. Only missing one feature in my opinion, to select the output zone. I've got outdoor speakers and have no line of sight to the amp from the backyard but I do have wifi out there. It would be great to control zones with a button in the options panel or similar. Would give 5 stars if I can have that feature. RX-V573 owner.

Manual IP setting is not saved For some reason this app keeps on forgetting the manually set IP address for the receiver, with the result that the app always need to scan the LAN addresses to get the receiver's one. I have a fixed IP for the receiver so that shouldn't happen. Yamaha please fix this. There are many other apps (e.g. XBMC remote) that are working perfectly, why not this one?

Cant manually add IP I am trying to add a RX-V673 via manually adding the IP adrress and it won't accept the address. My Phone (Galaxy S3) is on the same subnet as the amp. Otherwise it seems like a great app.

HTC Sensation Works very nicely. Has not crashed. I shows promise but is not there yet. Cons: Desperately needs bookmarking of internet radio. Shortcuts to often played lists would be nice. Navigating songs is tedious. Shuffle is not intelligent. I often get the same song twice. I need to be able to pick it up and in a few taps be listening to my favorite music.

Works well, but you can't quit On a stock Galaxy S3, this app puts a pointless long running notification that doesn't have any text in it. Clicking it reloads the app from scratch so you don't save any time by keeping it loaded. There's no way to exit the app, even by killing the task. Other than that, it works really well and looks nice.

Tuner Preset Wheel Force Closes Call me old fashioned, but I like to listen to the radio. The tuner wheel used to choose which preset to tune to force closes every time I use it. Really frustrating.

Very Useful Latest updates brings the useful features to turn off unused inputs, helping to reduce clutter. The ability to drag and rearrange DSPs is also helpful. Would be nice to have a bit more advanced GUI, but does everything you could pretty much hope for from a remote amp app.

Can't stream anything from the phone Cannot stream spotify, Google music, or any kind music unless you manually transferred it to phone. If you purchase music from the play store forget about playing in through this app. I purchased a Bluetooth steel transmitter which does the tricks.

Too basic It is handy but it is way to limited. Such as: 1 you can't play all of one artists music. You have to play the individual album. Poor 2 genre with media monkey you can't play by genre, only individual artists within 3, WORST of all.... You can not search for an artist. To have to scroll, on and on and on and on to find artists. Great for playlists, and you can control volume, and skip tracks and it shows who is playing. Looking forward to an upgrade to this app.

BD-S671 I had this app controlling the BD-S671 Blu Ray player and the RX-V671 Receiver. Prior to the update on July 9th I had perfect control over both devices. Now, I no longer can control the Blu Ray player. I also, like others, can no longer stream music from my phone. Motorola Razr Maxx, ICS 4.0.4 (Please note the loss of control to the BD-S671 did not occur after the ICS update on June 30th, only after the app update on July 9th.)

Nice Work well (HTC Incredible S) but for some reason it loses connection when the phone screen turns off, as soon as screen is back on it starts again, using tasker to dim and keep screen on fixed problem but wish i didn't have to. Update: Ticking WiFi best performance box in advanced wifi settings seems to have fixed problem, everything works perfectly now, updated to 5 stars.
