Audio Speed Changer Pro allows you to modify the playback speed or pitch of your audio files "on the fly" (realtime), fitting their audible characteristics to your needs. It can be used to help transcribing audio, to transpose songs, to save time listening to audiobooks/podcasts, to practice dance steps or just to have fun!

How it works: Choose a file, all songs from a folder or a whole album from your personal collection, limit the time frame you want to listen to, set the percentage of speed change you want to apply, set the number of semitones you want to transpose and just press play!

List of features:

- Audio formats supported: mp3, ogg, wav, vox, gsm, aac, m4a, mp4, aif, wma, flac, ac3, mp2, tta.
- Load songs, folders or whole albums (press and hold for options)
- Search songs using the music library or exploring folders and files
- Speed up or slow down audio up to 400% (0.25x - 4x in speed)
- Change pitch from -1 to +1 octave (in semitones or 0.05 semitone steps)
- Export audio as new MP3 or WAV files
- Start and End markers: limit the timeframe you want to listen to by drag&drop or precise setting.
- Song Position marker: set the position you want to start listening to at any time!
- A-B loop and repeat mode
- Plays in background
- Auto saves configuration for each song
- Auto saves song's position for a future session

About permissions (ASC Pro requests 3):

- READ PHONE STATE allows Audio Speed Changer to stop automatically when there's an incoming call.

- WRITE EXTERNAL STORAGE and WRITE INTERNAL STORAGE allow ASC Pro to export the processed audio as new audio files

No personal information is saved, including contacts or phonecalls. Contact me if those permissions bother you.

Amazing customer service I had a slight problem with the app, and emailed the developer. Got a response with five minutes from Gabriel, suggesting I clear the cache. Did that, and this Excellent App is again, helping me change the key of songs I want to learn, and slow them down a bit while I'm learning to play them (on my harmonica). Thanks Gabriel!

excellent but.... Brilliant does what it says, but the having to check the licence online is a pain especially when I have no phone signal or wifi. Also converting retuned mp3 doesn't work on archos 80 g9 turbo or HTC desire

There are others Don't make my mistake. Be sure you check for other programs before going ASC/Pro. Obviously, ACS/Pro has some appeal or I would never have purchased it: Independent Speed an Pitch controls, along with A/B looping It has one MAJOR failing, however. * You MUST select your song from within ASC, and * It has NO thumb scroll. The combination can be deadly. I have one folder that is a particular collection of 1400 tunes. That is, I didn't clump them together. They are mp3 files associated with a particular printed work. Heaven help me if I needed something towards the end of the alphabet. There are lots of file managers out there that have thumb scrolls and I found a music player that comes up as an option after a file is selected and puts all other players to shame, IMHO. As lomg as you know what you're getting into, ASC's speed and pitch adjustment along with looping might be all you need. In fact, ASC may have features, such as exporting, that make it uniquely suited for your purposes. However, be sure to investigate fully before making a final decision. Also, because of the way it is configured, it cannot be sideloaded onto a kindle Fire. Final verdict: Uninstalled.

Good app but it cancelled authorization Downloaded it, paid for it, loved it, then one day it tells me I didn't purchase it and couldn't use it. I email the help desk or contact email and no reply. Crap backup.

Awesome Pitch Variation I purchased the Pro Version for my VZW DROID CHARGE after trying the freeVie. I use DJPro on my iPhone 4S and like this much better. Simple UI but ADVANCED PITCH CONTROLS make it worth the $$. It would be super if I could eliminate the pauses between tracks in a playlist so that they could play continuously; I had to fuse Playlists songs together and save as one long song:)

Good but ugly + Good Functionality and Stable. - (1) No taskbar icon to easily get back to playback from another app (2) Dark and ugly UI. (3) Does not scale on large screens...tablets.

Sometimes plays only static Don't know why but sometimes the app wont play the file but only plays some really distorted static sound. The later (hours or days ) it will work.
