This is a build of the 2.3 (Gingerbread) music app that supports Android 1.6 and higher.

Nothing fancy here, just providing everyone the option to use the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) developed music player. Not all phones come with this player installed.

For a free but more advanced and slick music player, check out JRT Studio’s newest music player, Rocket Player, which includes a built-in equalizer, genre view, lock screen support, and more!

Not good ,, there's now way to filter your music If you search an artist you have to add each song to a queue individually ,, esp click on it to stop what's playing firtst.. One my HTC one with beats audio=-O

App Full of Art I own a Droid Razor and have to say this app is the best alternative to the stock apps. I had Google Play, then disabled it because it did not show all of my music one time. Plus it does not allow you to make a song one of your ringtones. Android Music Player shows all my artwork when I play a song. The main stock music app MotoCast is okay; it does not always show my album artwork. Called and emailed Motorola about it. Android Music Player is navigable with the repeat and shuffle buttons.

I love it but... This is the only player I would use but I really dislike how when I'm listening to music and I watch a video on my phone, the music stops and will not play once this video is over... please fix... so 3 stars for now

Needs improvements Use to work great. After the new update, player cuts off songs 75% of the way thru. Sound quality has also depreciated. Uninstall for now.

Its good but frustrating You cant rearrange the songs in the playlist like you should. When i slide around a song feom top to bottom it goes into a completly opposite order than what i want. Please please please fix this, then it would be a 5 star appt.

Playback problems After the recent update, I've been having problems when a song plays then goes to the next song. The player forgets that a headphone jack is in and starts playing from the phone speaker and also when it plays the next song, it forgets what volume level it is on and starts playing it on the max setting

What I like about this... In newer builds of Android the default music player has been replaced with Google Music. This mp3 player is small and basic which is good if you're only using it to listen to music. Ram usage is very light. Thanks.

New songs doesn't shows up in player The annoying thing about this built in music player is if you add new song in your phone. It doesn't show that song in player. you have to restart your phone and after that "Recently added" playlist shows that song. Please fix this. My device is Micromax Canvas2.

Works but sound.!? The sound quality on this app is as crappy as my preinstalled music player . They both emit hollow sounding music. Other music players have no problem and sounds perfect. At first I thought it was just my RAZR M but then I tried different apps and decided it was the apps fault not the phone.
