Save your money I originally gave it 5 stars but hasn't been updated for months and it no longer works with the latest vlc or android OS. Don't buy until it is updated.

Works great as long as you use 1.1.5 Bought this and had it working great for a good month. Then I upgraded my computer and put a newer version of VLC on it and it stopped working. Long story short version 1.1.5 is the newest version that can run this program. This program does everything that I need it for and the video is crisp and very high quality. Giving it 4 stars, it loses 1 star just because it has room to improve with the newest versions.

Ultra Frustrating Spent hours on it but still couldn't find how to make it work. One would need a bachelor in computer science maybe. The menu doesn't show in landscape mode (!!!), so I can't change settings without disconnecting the keyboard from my Asus Transformer tablet. I got a media server but can't connect. Really bad software, and wasted my money.

Needs landscape controls!!!! Best streamer compatible w/ my tablet. Lack of a landscape menu with this streamer is a glaring oversight that makes me have to undock my tablet from the keyboard to do most tasks. Would be 5 stars if menu was fixed because the streaming works great! To those having problems getting it to work, start by downgrading to VLC 1.9 . The 2.0 version has a long list of problems and I consider it to be broken. 1.9 works better in almost every way. Big thanks to the dev and work on that menu, please!

Anger Inducing. I spent too long trying to get this thing working only to waste my life, patience, and money. I can't get a refund because its past the time limit. I feel like I have spent $4 on nothing. It connects to vlc and no matter what input I choose it just shows nothing. If I stream desktop it shows desktop unless I start a video. It then says too many errors and nothing happens.

Excellent This is an excellent app. If you want to stream video media from your desktop to Android mobile device this is just the thing. It streams and converts any video media to your wireless device better than any other app I've tried, turning your tablet or telephone into a powerful, wireless, entertainment system. If you want to stream video to your device this app does a better job than vlc direct pro. The main difference between the 2 apps is that vlc direct pro enables 2 way streaming so you can stream video, music, photos straight from your device to a PC then to your tele box or stereo, which is quite cool. Vlc stream & convert only streams one way, from PC to mobile device, but it does it very well. Vlc direct pro works fine for streaming video or anything to a phone but struggles to do a good job if you're using a tablet. The larger screen of a tablet demands a faster data rate which pro can't cope with, stream and convert can!..so they're both good apps for different reasons. My only complaint about vlc stream & convert is that you cannot access the menu when your device is in landscape configuration. Not handy when you're lying in bed, mashed, watching a tablet...lol.

Fantastic App For Video Streaming This app is really great. I purchased it in order to stream videos from my main computer to my tablet, so I wasn't willing to put up with much trouble or streaming problems as the intention was to IMPROVE the experience compared to transferring files locally before playing. This app simply worked. It's easy to get videos streaming to the Android device out of the box. There are plenty of configuration options that let you tweak the stream video/audio output. After playing around for a bit, I was able to get a high-quality, full-screen experience on my tablet that rivaled local playback. The main competitor to this app is VLC Direct Pro. I've used both, and prefer VLC Stream and Convert Pro. The interface is, in my opinion, a bit cleaner and easier to use. The streaming configuration options are more comprehensive. Most importantly, however, the internal media player for VLC Direct Pro was not able to play my video files. External players lauched by VLC Direct Pro not seek. For anyone out there suffering from these same problems, I urge you to try out VLC Stream And Convert Pro.
