[2013-07-02] A Google User: Poor. The user interface design could be better. |
[2013-06-07] A Google User: Great Needs dome polish, but almost there |
[2013-06-06] A Google User: Potential but outdated This app has potential, but is outdated since November 2012. It's not very responsive and lacks "modern" integration with the current Android versions. I would love to see it become updated and/or upgraded as I prefer an Ubuntu app above any commercial app |
[2013-05-21] A Google User: purchase one track enjoy 6 months 0.99 to get 6 months 20GB streaming service, everyone should try it! |
[2013-05-05] A Google User: Pay to stream your own music I'm sticking with double twist or Google play. |
[2013-04-29] A Google User: Interface It's ugly interface, that's basic on mobile applications! |
[2013-04-27] A Google User: Want it to work but......... As a Ubuntu user for two years now I was hoping that the ease of use and sharpness of operation would follow through from the Linux OS, I cannot say that this has happened. It does not pick up all my uploaded albums, cannot search for albums!!!! When it works it is very good. I want to see this app for android working far slicker as Google music!! trying to use on Samsung Galaxy S Advance phone and Nexus 7 tablet |
[2013-04-19] A Google User: Why can't I search by album name? Good service, but this app has a really bad, outdated interface with little or no development in a long time. Not being able to search or browse by album name is an epic fail. |
[2013-03-17] A Google User: No search by album name Forget the outdated and sluggish interface, the only thing really preventing me from getting the most out of this app is that I cannot search my music by album name. This feature is available and works great on the web interface and on the iOS app, why not on android? |
[2013-03-16] A Google User: Provides Functionality It does what it says but this app and the Ubuntu Files app is stuck in gingerbread days. If they updated the UI it would be fantastic. |
[2013-03-10] A Google User: doesn't work as well as subsonic ugly old interface. This app is based on subsonic, correct? Why not keep it up to date! |
[2013-03-01] A Google User: UI I don't like the User Interface at all and the music from the Ubuntu One Music Store should be sold at 320kbps AAC or HD-AAC. MP3 Its just old and it doesnt sound good enough. |
[2013-02-16] A Google User: Firm believer in Ubuntu Love having my music where I am. |
[2013-02-06] A Google User: Good and reliable I like to support open source jobs |
[2013-01-30] A Google User: I want to love it but... I want to love this app as I'm a big fan of Canonical and an Ubuntu user. It's great to have a native music locker application for Linux, but this android iteration is very much lacking in features. Most glaring is the inability to browse by anything other than artist name. |
[2013-01-21] A Google User: Streaming is poor Spent a day painting so wanted to stream music on my phone but this app wouldn't get through one song without interruption, and failed completely after three songs twice! I just started Spotify instead! #fail |
[2013-01-20] A Google User: I like this but... I like Ubuntu and Ubuntu One, but the UI is not good enough for these days. and also i think the store has lack of Top chart music too. But i use it everyday :) |
[2013-01-18] A Google User: Bad UI User interface is outdated, navigation doesn't follow android's best practice standards. Customer support is almost nonexistent, so if they ripped you off on a CD - too bad. |
[2013-01-10] A Google User: Kool Fun to use nut a bit pricy I think the player should be free the pay for the file apps mouch thing to pay for. |
[2012-12-20] A Google User: Blows No matter if you already pay for Ubuntu One...they don't tell you up front, but this garbage requires an expensive subscription. Can not play what I already have uploaded. |
[2012-11-15] A Google User: Great idea, poorly executed Needs work on browsing the music library |
[2012-10-25] A Google User: Buggy Gives more error messages than music |
[2012-10-13] A Google User: The smoothest music streaming app. I've used Amazon Mp3 and Google Music extensively, this is the only one that feels like having real music on my phone. G2x. |
[2012-10-11] A Google User: Needs work The app works, but not in a convenient way. I'll embrace Ubuntu One as my cloud music service in spite of the high song prices if (and only if) usability is being improved. |
[2012-09-29] A Google User: Must have! Ubuntu user must have app! |
[2012-09-26] A Google User: Paid sync with my open source linux?! R u kidding? |
[2012-09-25] A Google User: Music Miért nem ingyenes? -Why not free? ( : |
[2012-09-12] A Google User: Keine Auswahl von allen Titeln auf einmal möglich.Erkennt bei Songs von iTunes und bei ogg offenbar keine Tags wie z.b. Interpreten. Kann scrobbling! |
[2012-09-10] A Google User: Works flawlessly :D |
[2012-08-16] A Google User: Not quite there... I'm a heavy Ubuntu user, but this app isn't quite there yet. Browsing music is slow, and often the tags in the mp3 files aren't read, so songs are listed as "unknown artist/unknown album". I'm looking forward to when it works as advertised. |
[2012-08-10] A Google User: Files not music I use Ubuntu one for files not music. Google music is better |
[2012-08-09] A Google User: Works but needs library cache I love always having access to all of my music. Downloading/streaming works fine, but browsing the library is SLOW, to say the least. |
[2012-07-21] A Google User: Meh Maybe it's an android issue but this app frequently stops playing during multi tasking and Internet use. I still support it though and overall it is good. Just needs a little tweaking. |
[2012-07-18] A Google User: Incredible Provides flawless music streaming between my phone, nexus 7, ubuntu and windows 7. |
[2012-06-13] A Google User: Stopped playing after first day... Cleared cache, then data, then complete uninstall/reinstall; still doesn't download tracks. No way to log out and back in; device must be unregistered from a computer. I'm a long-time Ubuntu fan and user (since Hoary), but I will be taking my money to a different cloud service. |
[2012-06-06] A Google User: Doesn't make sense Allows me to buy a streaming plan but has no access to the u1 music store. So it has nothing to stream without using a computer to buy music. This must change. |
[2012-05-29] A Google User: I wish this was better If this app worked properly and had features we expect from other audio players t would be stupendous... As it is, its buggy and lacks critical features. |
[2012-05-29] A Google User: Best music app period. Its simple, gives you more control than Google Play Music or even my stock music app. Google Music Play causes my phone to overheat, it downloads too much, tries to cache too much music and is slow. Ubuntu One Music caches what I want, doesnt make my phone overheat, and is easy to use. Avoiding the headache that is uploading music into Google Play Music is more than worth $4/month. |
[2012-05-06] A Google User: Hmm I love this app, but It needs a UI update. |
[2012-05-04] A Google User: Slooow Good idea, nice app, but usual very slow to sync music. Nit bad if on wifi, not great. However it's free, and Ubuntu isn't a bad OS. |
[2012-04-26] A Google User: Not ready for real use Works ok, but crashes sometimes, slow and clunky interface, playlists are pretty much unusable. |
[2012-04-26] A Google User: Does not install This app does not install to my HTC Desire. Everytime I get the message installation failed message, although theres space in my phone and in my SD-card. Anybody can help? |
[2012-04-15] A Google User: Wont install Tried to install it, says "package file invalid" Droid 3 |
[2012-04-14] A Google User: Nice idea... but For a long time, this was my main music app, and I was happy. I put up with the laggy interface, and clunky offline/online switching and the fact very little of my album art worked properly. Then I used Google Music. I haven't used this since. Sorry U1. |
[2012-04-13] A Google User: Crashes all the time |
[2012-04-05] A Google User: Needs more. Works great. But needs more features. l like better music sorting options. Great concept though. |
[2012-03-23] A Google User: Good Needs better controls. Only caches song being played unless told to cache all. I just use to sync my phone. |
[2012-03-02] A Google User: Neat concept Love the concept, hated the execution. Doesn't recognize the tags for my music, so everything is unknown artist. Only plays the first 9 seconds of most songs. I like the cloud storage enough to keep ubuntu one app, but the music app doesn't work for me |
[2012-02-25] A Google User: So sorry to cancel the free trial today. 20 GB for $40 yearly and a feature starved music app weighed heavily on my decision. |
[2012-02-21] A Google User: Not working Always says something went wrong whenever I try to connect |
[2012-02-11] A Google User: Amazing Would be a great improvement to be able to sort & play by song/genre/artist etc. Not only by artist. |
[2012-02-06] A Google User: Not bad ,wish it had some equaliser controls :) |
[2012-01-23] A Google User: All my music everywhere I have a huge music collection on my computer. It is nice having access to all that music from my mobile. |
[2012-01-17] A Google User: Widget broken from time to time This app is amazing and i love it. But the widget sometimes stop working and i need to reinstall to use it again! |
[2012-01-04] A Google User: Wiw Woot |
[2011-12-17] A Google User: can't sync from android would like to be able to sync music from my phone and tablet to my cloud |
[2011-12-04] A Google User: Works pretty good. Would be nice if it also included the ubuntu music store though. |
[2011-11-10] A Google User: Sporadic syncing Only recognizes a small portion of my library. Most of music is loaded as "unknown artist" which I have to browse by track title only. Frustrating. |
[2011-11-09] A Google User: Will lift rating When I am able to sign on. It always says "something went wrong" when I do. The application LOOKS amazing though. |
[2011-10-29] A Google User: Great Wish I could make playlists with this app. Difficult to import playlist as you need a pc, unless someone knows differently? |
[2011-10-17] A Google User: V. Embarrassing Monthly subscription to download my own music. What a laugh. Worse than spotify! |
[2011-09-17] A Google User: One star is too much! No windows client yet? You want me to pay you monthly tax for service that's not working ? Ubuntu one client (for ubuntu) took 24 hours to upload 1GB (in web service i upload like 1 song / 5 seconds ... but manually) of music and after that even half of them weren't on the cloud! And the library refresh rate is TERRIBLE! I waited for 3 days and music client is STILL showing just 6 songs ... I prefer to donate to the original subsonic project and use the server for unlimited time and use dropbox for personal cloud ... |
[2011-09-13] A Google User: Please add .flac support and style/genre filter. |
[2011-09-09] A Google User: Great, but room for improvement This app is awesome (Thanks Ubuntu!) but have you considered adding a connection to the store, so that users can make purchases straight from the phone (would be perfect for travelling)? |
[2011-08-17] A Google User: Being a Linux enthusiast, I wanted to love this app, I really did; but it works less than half the time. Samsung vibrant galaxy S |
[2011-08-15] A Google User: Great app I hated Windows on my Eee PC, needed music on my phone, and was tired of syncing with cables. Where to go next? HERE. Phone: Nexus S Carrier: TMobile |
[2011-08-09] A Google User: $40 a year is a small fee to pay for the all mighty cloud and have all my music at my finger tips no matter where I'm at. Hopefully they add the store |
[2011-07-16] A Google User: Great app. Came. With 30 day trial which was very generous of them. |
[2011-07-16] Mark: Great app. Came. With 30 day trial which was very generous of them. |
[2011-07-14] A Google User: Use everyday. Easy sync of music on pc to Ubuntu one. Do not mind paying a small fee for an awesome service. Thank you Ubuntu |

[2011-06-27] A Google User: Google Music Beta > Ubuntu One music streaming |
[2011-06-27] Michael: Google Music Beta > Ubuntu One music streaming |
[2011-06-23] A Google User: Like several others said... no 30 day trial! Not what I expect from Ubuntu. |

[2011-06-06] A Google User: This is non sense. The app its free but you gotta sign up and pay for the service which I don't know how well it works. Otherwise would try |

[2011-06-06] unknown: This is non sense. The app its free but you gotta sign up and pay for the service which I don't know how well it works. Otherwise would try |
[2011-06-06] Joon-Are: No free trial. Useless |
[2011-05-27] A Google User: It needs to cache more. It should cache your whole library. You gzip a sqlite db of a large music library and it's, what? 500K? Cache it! |
[2011-05-27] Justin: It needs to cache more. It should cache your whole library. You gzip a sqlite db of a large music library and it's, what? 500K? Cache it! |

[2011-04-28] A Google User: Some teething problems early on but most now ironed out. A very good idea, my whole library available on the phone with no effort on my part. |
