Dead This always worked great for me on my old Gingerbread phone, but streams no longer load or begin playing on either ICS or Jelly Bean. Developer obviously went totally AWOL nearly three years ago, from all evidence here / on the website / on his Twitter acct, and Android has completely passed this app by in the meanwhile. I feel bad for his paid users.

It doesn't work on my galaxy s2 This app used to be very reliable, and I would use it on a daily basis. It's been several months now that it no longer works. It keeps saying "preparing..." and then "stopped". Uninstalling and re-installing didn't help.

Dead app Doesn't work in v4.2 JB, always fails to connect. Developer web site not updated since 2009. TuneIn radio now allows custom URLs. Winamp can stream ShoutCast. No use for this app anymore. It was fun while it lasted!

Dead silence I downloaded this app. Was unable to select my stations.I went online to radio station, then reloaded the app, it added the station. So now. I'm excited but its short-lived. I hear dead silence, nothing. All stations are quiet. Waste of time.

Not for me Installed this to play a m3u mp3 stream. Couldn't find a way to manually add it. Not even one of the stock streams would play. Interface is clunky yet rudimentary.

Other than not working, looks fine On my Nexus 7 w/ 4.2.1 it opens and loads the station listings. It won't play anything. It prepares for awhile then stops. When attempting to quickly scroll through the list of radio stations, it lagged ridiculously then puked. Too bad. No information here or on the developers website. I rate this a don't buy until an announcement is made that this is fixed.

I wish I knew how to quit you Seems solid, and nice and small... but once you start listening to a radio station, there is no way to stop. Even the "Quit" button says "can't quit - work is being done in the background" as it continues to suck down bandwidth and battery. Would be great if they fixed that. [EDIT] after reviewing many, many discussion links, "stop" can be affected by holding "play" for a few seconds - something that is not documented anywhere that I've found

What Happened? I have relied on this app for my NPR listening cross-country, for years on my Galaxy S running Android 2.2. I had to get a new phone - Galaxy S2 Rocket with Android 4.04, downloaded the app first thing, only to find it wouldn't play...it would buffer and everything as if it was going to play then would just stop. Very disappointed. I looked for fixes online to no avail, and ended up downloading TuneIn for now. I hope this is fixed soon, because Streamfurious was a great option for me.

Doesn't work on Nexus App opens and lists all the stations but took more than five minutes to load a station, then promptly failed to play it. Did same thing for any other stations I tried. Also would be great if I could find a way to manually enter a station URL

Works! I was looking for an app to listen to mp3 streams, while allowing me to do so with the app running in the background, so I can continue using the tablet for other tasks. This app does that. Installed on my Iconia a500 currently running 3.2.1. At the moment I'm listening to a podcast in the background while typing this comment. Kudos developer for a nice, free app that's easy to use. Thank you!

I really want to love this... I'm so tired of random stops. Sometimes it will play for hours at a time, sometimes it will randomly stop after 5 minutes and I have to keep restarting! If this was fixed, I'd probably purchase this, but not until the issue is fixed! UPDATE: Ever since I started using this on an Android 2.3 device, it's EVEN WORSE. Nothing plays. I've uninstalled it at this point because it's totally worthless... I use AOR Radio now!

Great app A lot of people are reporting that the player just shows "stopped ". Be aware that sprint borks this app with its proxies. You have to disable the proxies for it to work.

ALMOST A 5 STAR!!! But it seems whenever the stream's song changes it counts it as a "broken pipe". This is the only app I've found that plays icecast2. Fix for 5 stars.

Simple, but maybe too simple The interface is simple, and blends nicely with the web browser. You can click on a feed in the browser and have the option to add it to you feeds list in StreamFurious. I don't see any ability to search your feeds within StreamFurious. Also, the pause/play button on the headphones won't control StreamFurious. Overall, I'm enjoying this more than WinAmp because WinAmp only has access to Shoutcast streams.
