Control Spotify on your Windows computer with Spotimote! (no MAC support)

Spotimote turns your phone in a remote control for Spotify. With it, you can control Spotify from anywhere in the house.
It's ideal for parties, lazy days or if you have a media center tucked away in a closet.

- Search for tracks, artists, albums
- Access your playlists, selection, downloads, library, personal music, inbox...

- Access your tracks history
- Add tracks to playlists (Spotify premium users)
- Manage your favorites (tracks, albums, artists, playlists...)
- Widget (not available in Spotimote Free)

Spotimote communicates with the Spotimote server component over Wifi. Make sure your phone and your computer are connected on the same wifi network to establish the connection.

After the installation of the Spotimote server component, when you launch it for the first time, you may be prompted by the Windows Firewall. You have to authorize the server component to access the network or it won't be able to communicate with your phone/tablet.

About the permissions, the "READ PHONE STATUS AND IDENTITY" permission is required to let spotimote automatically pause the music when an incoming call is received on the phone.

This product uses a SPOTIFY API but is not endorsed, certified or otherwise approved in any way by Spotify. Spotify is the registered trade mark of the Spotify Group.

Some issues, but functional Worked perfectly in every way for about a week. Now, album art, song info, track position and volume control in the Now Playing screen do not load, though the on-screen buttons still work as they should. The Play Queue only shows what songs are coming up, cannot tap on a song to play it immediately. Nothing happens. Occasionally will not load playlists. Otherwise still works well, though I hope to see these issues fixed with the next few updates.

Thank you for enabling my laziness Sometimes I don't want to get out of bed to control spotify on my desktop computer and with this app I don't have to! Even has the capability to relaunch spotify when the desktop app inevitably spontaneously crashes! Only suggestion would be to make the server app capable of updating itself or at least letting me know on the computer and not just my phone.

Not reliably enough It is feature rich, excellent in that way. However, it is highly unreliable. The win server often looses connection, the android client rendered responseless. Very frustrating, when it works it works very well, however it requires very frequent manual intervention on the windows server to get it working again. Frequent meaning even every time i want to change the current queue or skip a song. So, unless this gets fixed, it very unfortunately is pretty useless.

Naggy, fails at local tracks This looked just what I need - even states you can manage your own personal music, but it fails to list any of my local tracks on the server.
