[2013-04-19] A Google User: Plays next file instead of next track. Useless. When a track ends, why does it start playing the next SID file, rather than the next track within the SID? It renders an otherwise great player completely useless. :( |

[2013-04-14] A Google User: Good, but older version better I liked the previous incarnation better - I could find all the music from C64 Games easily. Now I have no idea where they disappeared to with the new organization. Also, many of the songs register as <?> now. The extra 8-bit versions of other pop music feels a bit intrusive and makes the already large list clunky and unwieldy without the indexing the program once had. I also preferred it when the song would auto repeat. Many of Hubbard's tracks were excellent for looping. Was 5, now 3. I miss Galloway too. |

[2013-04-09] A Google User: Fantastic & Tanks ... for this app. Finally the HVSC to carry around everywhere! One suggestion: a 'Favorites' playlist would be nice in a future update; it would make it so much easier to play the most loved tunes on the go without having to use 'search' each time! |

The search can feel a little clunky which is a shame - some filtering by artist / company / etc would be great, especially since the HVSC is absolutely enormous =) I feel the only additional features to add would be a playlist and forward/rewind on the tunes. |

One of the few apps I'd pay money for, it's worth £5 just to listen to the Last Ninja 2 soundtrack :-) |

[2013-01-11] A Google User: Too much Ive used the HVSC sid stuff heaps on pc. Excellent that its now on droid, but the search is flawed somewhat. Can we have a search-by-author filter as minimum? Search by original game would be great also. As much as the SID composers are fantastic and full credit to them, Im really only interested in the games i grew up playing and would love to filter out the unneccessaru other 6000 tracks :) |

[2013-01-01] A Google User: Too many tracks I'm new to this software so cannot comment on older versions, however, I agree with others. 90% of the tracks included I will never play, you only need so many Oxygene remixes ;) Would also be nice if you could create a 'favourites' list as with other SID programs (if you already can I can't find it sorry) |

[2012-12-01] A Google User: Can't see the wood for the trees As it contains *so many* SID tracks, this app has allowed me to find all of the tracks that I've searched for - with somewhat more effort than I would have liked. Using the Search function works OK if using a keyword from the track title - but the greatest tracks often have inferior tribute versions with the same keyword - so it is often necessary to scroll through the entire list to find the right one. Please add a favourites/playlist function and by-composer search to make the app less painful to use. |

[2012-11-08] A Google User: Was good but.. This update blows. If I could downgrade I would. For starts, the search is broken beyond belief. The first phrase you enter doesnt count. In order to get anywhere you have to type something like "aghff" then what you're looking for and even then it is still inaccurate. Next, auto repeat was removed. Last, having the whole HVSC is cool, if the search option worked. This is terrible. Dont download this. |

[2012-11-08] A Google User: One step back Love the app, love the integrated hvsc, love the music - but why oh why make the search function suddenly fussy about case? The older version didn't care if the first letter of a search got 'corrected' to upper case,and now it does. More an inconvenience than a serious issue but it takes the shine off having hvsc in your pocket. |

Does a great job of playing SID music and comes with about 690 hours of it, which I find to be great for new users like myself. Some more options like repeat and shuffle would be nice, but this is freaking amazing already as it is. |

[2012-10-10] A Google User: Nearly Perfect The best part of this SID player is that it comes conveniently packaged with the High-Voltage SID collection. Download and go! It could get much better, honestly, with a simply Random feature. With such a vast amount of songs to choose from, I don't understand why this feature isn't available; it's quite necessary to discover new songs easily. Otherwise, you end up listening to 600 versions of Commando in a row. Other features that would be nice are SID emulation rendering methods to control sound quality and speed better. While I would love to give this app 5 starts, Droidsound, a chiptune app that plays multiple formats, does have a Random play option and playback options for SID and Amiga formats. Still, this does what's needed and runs excellent on my Samsung SGH-I747 on 4.0. |

[2012-09-19] A Google User: As BASIC V2 you can get It's nice to actually find a player that plays SID on the go (sadly nexus 7 burns out uncomfortably). This one doesn't have an infinite loop which is great for me, but it does needs some flexibility. It is VERY BASIC for a player, only having a single list of songs in alphabetical order, play, skip, rewind and such. It does good, or better if playlist, loop times(extremely nice if you can save loop times to a specific short SID), and other essentials were implemented. Other than that, it's sufficient for my fix. =] |

What really puzzled me is that the description of the download page says that the file is 5.35mb when its only 1.35. As well... How can we enjoy music without looping it ?! It desperately needs a repeat option. Keep it up !!! |

[2012-09-03] A Google User: Shuffle/repeat? This is amazing, but I'd like to know if there are repeat and shuffle functions, and if not, will there be? I'd love to be able to repeat a song and also be able to not have to listen to everything in order. Also, the ability to play just the songs from one set would be nice - Giana Sisters has like 7 songs but it just plays the title and moves on. If the shuffle feature could access not just the parent file but the child tracks as well it would be nice. |

This was a great app - I loved listening to my sid collection and some of the high voltage collection, but I really didn't want the whole collection - I liked being able to put whatever songs I like in the C64music.zip folder and being able to get rid of the ones I didn't like - I can't seem to have control over that anymore. Also no more indefinite loop sids :-( I do like to listen to some of the songs for as long as I'd like - it's great for driving around to - well I'll be looking at other apps for now - if update was undone I would definitely rate this a 5. Sorry, but sometimes it's best to leave well-enough alone. |
