Usually by the time shazam gets its head out of its assets song is done EVERY TIME I've tried to tag a song shazam takes forever to load up. So much fun to try to get a song only to have shazam take too long to load. Back to sound Hound.

Still doesn't work I had been using the Encore app for a few years on multiple phones and I loved it. Thought it was the best app for identifying music regardless of surrounding conditions. This app hasn't worked in months though. When you try to start the app all it says is "Failed to establish connection"

Purchased Sound Hound I loved using Shazam Encore up until a few months ago when I installed the fatal update that rendered this app Junk. Can't believe this app will not run on the latest Samsung Galaxy S III phone. And Shazam never got back to me after submitting a trouble ticket. Wtf is up with your support? You guys should be focusing on fixing this s**t. Four f*&%ing months and running. With no refund offer whatsoever. I hope you're reading this. Losing users faster than you know, including myself.

Was so good.. Used to love this app. Used it daily. Now same as many others, connection issue. Latest update no good. Restored to an older saved version from titanium backup and it works again. No responses from support. What happened??

Still broken Okay, after a lot of trial and error finally got past the connection issue. Used an old titanium backup of a working 3.9.4 of app+data, restored both, then upgraded to 3.11.1 via market, then restored data only with titanium, and voila! It works. Interestingly, though, the widget has no data connection, while the full app works. I think the problem is somewhere in the background service that the widget uses... Just my two cents. Due to complete lack of support from shazam, still only 1 star...

Used to work on Atrix 4G and now it won't establish a connection as of two updates ago. Soundhound is my go-to app for music ids, but Shazam was faster and better. Emphasis on was. Stability is more important than speed!

Temporary fix for couldn't establish connection.. Managed to find a workaround for "could not establish connection" or the "ftu.ope" error... it seems the error is only caused by the initial setup when first installed. Best thing to do is install on another rooted device (for titanium backup). Launch the shazam app, and allow it to go past the setup.. Then use titanium backup to back up the app. Transfer the data to the phone you want to use it on, and restore app+data from there. That's how i got it to work. Im not sure what'll happen if i update.. guess ill just wait n see. Good luck!

Works great. Ignore the 1 stars with issues. Local problems since others with same phones work fine. Likely none contacted Dev or reinstalled AFTER WIPING OLD FILES MANUALLY FROM THE PHONE/SD CARD. Tags quickly and accurately. No spam in the app either. Galaxy s 2, roms used: Gamermod Classic v1.1, calkulins 2.9.2, and cyanogenmod alpha 6.
