Yes This app is fantastic for recording my riffs when I'm jamming at home. Turn the .wav setting on in settings to turn off compression. It does the job great. I can't say enough how awesome this app is.

As a musician... ... this app has helped me in so many ways that I can't even begin to list them all!!! In addition to songwriting, I can record meetings, and even use it to record phone calls when necessary just by putting my home phone on speaker. The email feature is priceless! I'm able to shoot song samples and changes to producers effortlessly. If I could give it 10 stars, I would! if they figure out how to record in call phone calls, this app the ONLY app i would pay for!

Works fine, intuitive, DroidX. I gave 4 stars vs 5 because I would like to see a quick backspace feature added. If I'm learning lines, I may want to jump back a little, doing so with the slider is awkward. An A-B repeat feature would also be a great enhancement, maybe on a Pro version. I'd pay a reasonable fee for it.

Used t work - now just force closes I used to love this app and recorded important meetings and could listen to them wiith no problem. Now every time I try to listen to one of the recordings it force closes. I can't listen to any of my recordings and I had some very important stuff on there. I think I have lost it all. I wish I had transcribed everything right after I recorded it because now I think I've lost everything. Can someone tell me the developer's email? I can only get it through Outlook and I don't use Outlook.

Great with one problem This is the best voice recorder I have used by a long shot. My only complaint is that it is granted one permission which is not disclosed. "Read phone state and identity". At first this seemed scary until I looked it up. It's obviously there to prevent it from interfering with phone calls, but the "and identity"part is still cause for alarm in some cases. I would point out though that it is an "all our none" permission. Still, I wouldn't have had a panic attack at all if this permission were disclosed.

Droid 3 application problems I've used this app for some time with 100% satisfaction. However, since upgrading my phone to the new version consistent issues occur with the app force closing and restarting my phone losing the ongoing recording. I turned on the lock screen feature with no effect. Please fix. It was a highly utilized 5 star app before. Thank you

Converting The Compressed Audio I was really pleased with my test recording of a barbershop chorus CD from my stereo to the uncompressed wav with lots of harmonic layers and dynamics captured and so I used the app to record our chorus but was rushing and accidently unselected the uncompress option. Surprsingly the compressed option wasn't bad and didn't distort when loud but I had to upload it to my computer then convert the compressed 3gp audio to share it and found a good free program called simply, 3GP to MP3 Converter from Shiver.

Uncompressed audio not working (LG ALly) LG Ally, stock 2.2.1. Regular mode works. But when "Record Uncompressed Audio" enabled, recording seems to take place, but when I try to playback the file (within the app), get an error "Prepare Failed.: Status=0xFFFFFFFF. Looking at the recorded files on a computer (WinXP), all files are the same size (44bytes) regardless of how long the recording was for, and they do not play in WMP.

Voice Memo Was searching for an Android app to use as a voice memo recorder. Won't be as good as my Palm Tungsten T3, which had a dedicated hardware button I could use to record a memo while driving without looking at the device. Or my Treo, where I could likewise press and hold a button to record. But very nice for what it does. A bit hard to see the difference between recordings you've played (normal text) and ones you haven't (bold) - perhaps adding italics to one or the other, or some other marker, would help.
